Close by only 16 miles across the top of the mountain. The best state park I have ever been to. It has tons of trails to hike if you like hiking, paved bike trails as well with bikes you can rent to ride around the lake or to the top of the falls. Canoes, paddle boards, paddle boats, and kayaks you can rent. There is a ropes coarse and a zipline. There are 3 waterfalls easy to walk to the top of any of them. One of the falls are the tallest free falling falls east of the Rockies. There are several great swimming holes my favorite is the George Hole, they also have a large swimming pool.
The views are beautiful.

2009 Village Camp RdClose by only 16 miles across the top of the mountain. The best state park I have ever been to. The Park is small but they have a Kayak tour to the bottom of the falls if you like kayaking its the best for the whole family. You will need reservations in advance as they only take groups of 10 the cost is $30 each and it takes 3-4 hours.
