The Heritage Centre is a great place to find out a little more about Wirksworth, from it's earlies mentions in the Doomsday book to lead mining in the area. Great little Websters cafe to the rear serving drinks, cakes and light lunches.

Le MIstral is one of our favourites to visit, the food is delicious and the interior is cosy (especially downstairs!). Open all day for coffee and pastries in the morning, lovely lunches and superb dinners. Good choice of vegetarian and vegan meals. A meal there is highly recommended during your stay.
