Need a break from Indian food? Anokhi café has great western-cuisine for lunches and light dinners, homemade cakes and slices, and options for vegetarians, vegans, and those who are gluten/lactose free. They also offer take-out, so grab a baguette or sandwich to carry on your day's adventures. They also have lovely coffee (including non-dairy milk) and a selection of herbal teas. Air-con, but no wifi. Can get busy around lunchtime from Nov–Feb. Open from 10am—7pm. Closed on Sundays.

Everyday needs + nomad spots

A good place to find groceries and essentials, including some imported specialty foods. Not the best place for fresh produce, but for packaged goods it's a good option. Shoppers Paradise is a little cheaper and has a slightly larger range, but this is a good backup.

A good supermarket with groceries and everyday needs, including a decent selection of imported and specialty foods. There's also a fruit/veg seller on the corner and a pharmacy next door — so this is a good one-stop place for your daily living needs.

Traveler advice

Getting around

Uber and Ola cabs

Uber and Ola operate in Jaipur, and are good for short trips. They can be frustrating at times, however — they're often not very good at following the map to the pickup location, and will normally call you and want to know where you are — which is very hard if you don't speak Hindi! For long or short trips, sightseeing, or shopping, we highly recommend Rafik. He knows the city like the back of his hand, has lots of secret spots, and will make your day stress-free and memorable. His contact details are in the Welcome Pack at the apartment.
