Provides great views of Invermere, Windermere Lake and the valley! You can hike the 5km from the base along one of the many well marked trails (some are also for mountain biking) or drive the majority of the way in a 4x4, with a short 15min hike to the top that's truly stunning.

The Bugaboos are an absolutely stunning area for hiking and wilderness adventures. The soaring granite spires and glacial terrain is jaw dropping beautiful, surrounded by wildflower meadows. Hiking hiking hiking! In the winter the area is fantastic a backcountry ski area.
Absolutely incredible, however, its a full-day excursion where you will need day hike essentials such as food, bear spray etc.. The views are epic at the lake!

Quick and easy hiking trail which the entire family can enjoy. Great views from the top of the Hoodoos with East-South-West views. Don't go too close to the edge...its a long drop. Any time we've been or been by, its never been busy.

A small lake situated to the west of the hamlet of Wilmer. It is about 12.5km from our house, and is nice for swimming and has a nice loop walk circling the lake. The walk around takes about 30-40 minutes and has some great views of the Rockies!

This is a non-commercialized hot pool. Its becoming busier, but if you prefer natural hot pools this is the place to go. Sits alongside the Whiteswan Forest Service Rd south of Invermere, in a valley immediately beside the river. It is free but parking is somewhat limited.

Located at the West entrance of Kootenay National Park, Radium is famous for its locals - the big horn sheep which are commonly seen wandering around and lounging along side the main street of town! There are also a few cafes, ice cream shops and of course the hot pools just inside the park boundary.
