Walking Path

This is a great place to do some leisurely walking or squeeze in a good run. There are also some great restaurants in this area like Buffalo Wild Wings, Mackenzie River Pizza Pub & Grill, Stockman's Restaurant, & Tap-N-Fill Growler House. Bills Bike and Run and Love at First Bite Mercantile are also fun places to check out. Following the Idaho Falls Riverwalk trail system south along the Snake River will lead you from downtown Idaho Falls under Pancheri Bridge to Snake River Landing, specifically to Milligan Park and The Pier overlooking the Snake River. The Idaho Falls Riverwalk trail is one of the most popular areas for recreation in Idaho Falls. Enjoy the approximately 4000 square foot Pier that overlooks the Snake River. Bike or walk one of the many finished trails within Snake River Landing, which is private property open for public use. Visit Bill’s Bike and Run in Snake River Landing and inquire about a bike rental or demo and get the entire family out for a ride on one of the many trails and pathways. You'll love the greenbelt by the Falls. You can make a loop from Broadway up to Hwy 20 and then back around to Broadway. You'll pass by the falls on the Snake River. If you want a longer walk you can go north from the highway to Freeman Park, a great place to have a picnic!

The Cress Creek Nature Trail is a short drive from Idaho Falls. A portion of the trail is paved and has spectacular views of the river, bridge, farmland, and foothills in the distance. It's an education hike with information about the unique ecosystem that surrounds the spring.

Another great place for a quick hike. It can be very hot during the summer due to the Lava rock that forms the butte but spring, fall, and summer evenings are a great time to visit.

Museum

The Museum of Idaho features great exhibits like the current Darwin & Dinosaurs exhibit. They also have an Idaho History exhibit that they are revamping and it will reopen soon. "Too long, the rich story of East Idaho has gone untold, unappreciated. No longer. Way Out West, our largest-ever exhibit and centerpiece of the museum for the decade to come, will tell the real story, the twisting story, the surprising story... the one that weaves together social, cultural, scientific, political, historic, and artistic threads. It's your story too. And it won't be told unless we tell it together. Opening in late 2020" https://museumofidaho.org/wow/
