When walking in downtown , don't carry valuables with you.

Always carry a copy of your passport with you. Beach is gorgeous but save the beach walks only during the day. Don't expose yourself to dangerous situations.

What to pack

Sunscreen, mosquito repellent , you will need lots them.

Spray mosquito repellent in the morning and afternoon , specially if you have sensitive skin. Because of our tropical weather mosquitos can be anywhere at any time.

Carry some "colones " with you

American dollars are accepted in 80% of the country but the the exchange rate is not regulated for the government so in some places you may get less for your money if you pay in dollars.

Tours

A planned vacation is a stress free vacation, specially during the high season months in Jaco beach, you may not be able to fit in some desired hours for your tours. We can help you coordinate in advance : Zip lining (Canopy Vista Los Suenos, the best in town) ATV tour Horseback riding Surf lessons Private chef services including grocery shopping (Emeril Lagasse's chef every time he comes to Jaco is available for you) and she can cook for you - Conveniently most of these companies will come pick you up at the house and bring you back after the tour is over.

Transportation

Because of the location of the house, we highly recommend renting a car , golf cart, Scouter or any other way of transportation that may facilite you and your party from going back and forth to the beach and downtown. We can arrange this for you as well, they will deliver your car , etc right at Casa Marlin whenever you want.
