Great and less great restaurants- but not everyone has the same taste :-)
Opened in sept 2014- it was chosen one of Australia's top 100 within a year. The argentinian chef cooks up awesome share-food, for a very reasonable price. If you like something way too much; just order more !

Sorry; Sadly the pub burnt down. We are hoping for a rebuild.
We are so glad the Hotel opened again- and How! it is a historical pub that serves good local wines, beers and magnificent food (we are lucky in Gembrook) . They think of everyone; there are tie up rails for horses, so you can have a beer in your break- but of course, you can also park your bike here!

The general store offers the best local produce turned in to fingerlicking good food- for everyone even if you have food allergies. the coffee and chai are to die for (not really please) and the menu- that varies everyday has something to offer something for everyone who enjoys food.

Woodstock in Cockatoo (!) offers indian and western food, for a very reasonable price, so is great for the nights you want an easy meal out. It looks lovely and has the fire going on the colder nights. ** I don't know why airbnb wants Woodstock to be somewhere else :-)

With all the great food options, we don't go here often. Meals are reasonably priced, but not high end. Great for a family though.

Beautiful cafes with good coffee
We are coffee aficionados. Coffee is very important- and so is food! Lucky this area has been sprouting some great cafe's in the last years!
The first 'city' cafe in the area (soon followed by more) and still our favourite. Small, but an enormous range of great food, and beautiful coffee; with any type of milk or non-milk that you might want!

An Italian restaurant by Dougie- the owner of the General store (cafe). He can cook!
slightly more expensive then other options- but so worth it. Even the pizza's are absolutely gourmet.
