The Bunya Mountains rise abruptly from the surrounding plains to an average elevation of 975m reaching over 1100m above sea level at Mount Mowbullan and Mount Kiangarow. The range features panoramic mountain scenery and breathtaking views over the South Burnett region and Darling Downs plains.
