Traveler advice

Book before you go

Enchanted Rock

Be sure to purchase your day pass online to insure that you're able to get into the park.
What to pack

Bring comfortable shoes

One-of-a-kind shops line both sides of Main Street for 6+ blocks, so you'll definitely want to pack a pair of shoes that you are comfortable walking in.
Getting around

Taxis and a few Ubers are available

Due to the limited number of drivers, wait times for rides might be a bit longer than you are used to.
Getting around

Try to park on Austin St. or San Antonio St.

If you'll be driving to downtown Fredericksburg, keep in mind that Main Street is typically very busy, especially on weekends, so try to park on Austin St. or San Antonio St. Both of these streets are just one block north and south of Main Street, respectively, so you'll be just a short walk from all the attractions of downtown and will have a much easier time backing out when you're ready to depart.
Getting around

Avoid jaywalking and u-turns

The minor amount of time saved is not worth the risk involved nor the possibility of receiving a warning or ticket.
