A very interesting and well preserved example of Norse life and influence in the Hebrides. It’s also one of the less well known tourist spots and so there is rarely other people there. A nice walk to where they are located by a stream.

Well worth checking out and a five minute drive from the house. This church has some interesting carved grave slabs, one that looks like a knight, inside the church. You can drive there or there is a nice flat walk along the beach (not quite a mile) from the Melbost side where you can also park.
