I tend to gravitate to places I am able to just relax and enjoy myself at. These spots do it for me and I hope you will enjoy too.
This is a super chilled easy going little spot with live music an unpretentious menu, great service and a really great vibe. Surf Cafe is a great spot to meet locals and get insights into hidden local treasures not usually discovered by visitors. Local musicians perform regularly and the setting blends pub and restaurant allowing you to choose between a quiet dinner or letting your hair down a little. The menu is predominantly Mexican with a collection of other dishes and great burgers.

Great lunch time or early dinner spot, right on the beach with regular whale and dolphin sightings. Food is fantastic too, great Italian classics and really fresh fish.
Often a waiting list for tables in the busy summer months, but well worth it.

Another great spot for sun downers looking out over the Bitou river valley. Food excellent and a choice of laid back pizzas etc at Simon's Bar and around the pool or sit down ala carte in the main restaurant, bookings essential for the main restaurant.

A must visit, whether you want to just meander along and enjoy the beautiful scenery and visuals or as a trail run which is very popular among the local fitness crew, Robberg peninsula is breathtakingly beautiful. Make sure to ask about the little hidden areas such as Nelson bay cave and archaeological site , keep an eye out around the seal colony as great white sharks are often spotted especially May to August.
