Great place for some altitude. Berries become abundant at the higher elevations at the end of summer. The historical plaques are interesting as well.

The visitor center has great films showing during the day, plus telescopes where you may spot mountain goats above the glacier. The trails are well maintained and the waterfalls and rapid brooks of snow melt are amazing. Of course the glacier itself if great to see and take selfies with!

This is where there was once a mine. There are still buildings and plaques placed there. The mine tailings left what we call Sandy Beach. Great place to ponder the strength of people who were here before it was a city. Easy trails for all levels.
