Minniesdale Historic House's farm cottage is a hidden and secluded gem, just 15 minutes from Wellsford and just over an hour north of Auckland CBD . The cottage has it's own private garden with views to the harbour and surrounding farmland. The cosy cottage has a double height living room, which has a sky tv and kent solid wood fireplace, fully equiped kitchen. There is a bedroom with queen bed and bathroom ensuite downstairs and a further mezzanine bedroom with a double bed upstairs.

Our space is great for travellers who enjoy wineries, cafes, beaches, walks, a boutique cinema, Matakana market on Saturdays, Morris and James pottery and the variety of places to visit and explore within easy distance. Nearby is the ferry for a day at Kawau Island. The downstairs studio is private but we are close by and pleased to help and chat if you choose. Warkworth has large grocery stores and shopping but we have an adequate shopping centre and local pub within walking distance.

We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.
