“The Isle of Skye baking company is a wee bit out of Portree but it dose great lunch breads and sweet treats. They have a variety of lovely short breads that are also great as wee gifts. Also if you're a Tea drinker they have a good variety and even some local blends that are very tasty. ”

Meal Takeaway
“If you ask at An Praban you might get a local fisherman to get you some fresh catch. Anyone in the area is allowed to catch their own, for home consumption, and might have a crab or lobster spare. More reliably, go to this place in Kyle of Lochalsh and say Morag sent you. Much of seafood consumed across the continent is caught in Scottish waters and exported - catch it at its freshest. Morag is pronounced 'moor-ag'.”

“It's great - a lovely building, a great cafe and a really useful shop. It's run by and for the community - every pound spent here helps people stay on the island. It is like a city cafe - proper coffee, lovely food, nice atmosphere. It is pronounced 'An Cruv' and is back up on the main road - an easy walk of around 20 minutes. ”
