This is a wonderful place to stay. I chose the apartment based on the other reviews and they are very accurate, and Graziella and Francesco were especially welcoming. The WiFi also works very well. I also chose San Lucido itself because of this apartment and the reviews, since there wasn't a lot of information about San Lucido online, and I was not disappointed. It is a charming and beautiful town above the sea. The apartment itself is perfectly located and is at the edge of the historical center and obviously has a great view. This is a wonderful place to relax and experience life in a smaller town in the south of Italy, and it's very pleasant to walk in the old town or along the sea. You can also go on day trips to nearby historical towns or to Tropea. There is a bus there that doesn't come very often, but Graziella and Francesco will help you arrange a shuttle service that is basically a reasonably priced on-demand carride to places nearby, especially Paola, which has a well-connected train station and direct trains to many major cities. There were also a couple of very good restaurants in town, especially Osteria Lucitana. I felt very welcome in San Lucido and Calabria in general and had a great stay.

A small lighthouse that shines in a night full of houses dusted and rented a month after the aunt's departure. Finally a house designed to welcome a tourist, who has no way of carrying everything around; from the iron to the coffee, nothing was missing! Well conditioned, new, very clean and in the center, I really hope to be able to find it free in the summer period! Don't let it get away! Ps gabriella welcomed me with a basket of her mandarins and a big smile, precise and quick in communication. See you next time!

Graziella and Marco were very helpful and kind when getting situated in the apartment. The space is beautiful, with a view of the city and ocean from the balcony. It’s a bright and clean apartment with great amenities and pretty decor. It’s a short walk to the beach and nearby lots of restaurants, cafes, and a market. Graziella also arranged for transportation from the train station and to the airport, which was very helpful and an extra gesture of hospitality. I would love to stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in a nice neighborhood :)

This is a very nice and super clean apartment with a beautiful view of the sea and mountains. Although Graziella was not able to meet us herself at check in, she sent us one of her relatives who gave us the keys and explained everything about the apartment. We were very pleased to find a welcoming pack (fruits, milk, juice and some other things for breakfast) which was really a nice gesture. Graziella was also very helpful during our stay and responded quickly to our questions. The room itself is newly renovated and well-equipped, not very large but perfect for 2 people. We found the sofa-bed not very comfortable to sleep, but you have the “attic” with a large bed. Under the house there is a large street where you can park your car (except Tuesday mornings, because of the market). All the necessary shops (minimarket, fish shop, fruits and vegetable etc.) are also nearby. The room has a wonderful terrace from where you can enjoy your meals being right in the center of the town but still on your private space. We also liked San Lucido as a town, here you will not find crowds of tourists but mainly locals who get together in the evenings on the “piazzetta” under the house for a chat and a drink in one of the local bars. One more attractive feature of the town is its panoramic promenade with fantastic views and it is also a perfect location to visit the Sila National Park. We really enjoyed our stay in Graziella's apartment and we definitely recommend it to everyone.

This is a great place to stay. Graziella is a wonderful host. I arrived fairly late and she arranged for a shuttle to meet me at the train station in Paola and then met me at the apartment herself for check-in. There was milk and pear juice in the fridge as well as a few other things for breakfast. The location is superb, right in the heart of the city centre and on the edge of the historic centre. Outside at night there are people who meet and visit and it gives the feeling that you are in the heartbeat of the town. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. A grocery store, a butcher shop and various coffee shops and bars are just a stones throw away. Not far away there is a staircase that leads down to the ocean. When it was time for me to leave, the shuttle was not available so Graziella’s husband drove me to the train station. Such hospitality! Overall I had a wonderful stay at Graziella’s in San Lucido and would definitely stay here again if I was in the area. I highly recommend this place.

We had an amazing time in San Lucido. The view from The apartment was stunning and a wonderful surprise! The apartment is large, clean and has a large porch that you can relax on in the evening and look over the little square, just perfect!! Graziella and her family went above and beyond during our stay. I had been waiting many years to visit this little town as my Mother was raised here. It was a fantastic experience. Thank you!!

Graziella’s apartment in San Lucido is very spacious and comfortable and located right in the centre of town, with stunning views along the coast. Check in was straightforward as we met Graziella’s husband and son, Francesco and Marco, who let us in and showed us through the apartment. Lots of nice touches with plenty of breakfast provisions etc. provided. San Lucido is a beach resort town mainly for Italians but it’s got a lovely old quarter and a good choice of bars and restaurants, however, the beach front was looking a bit worse for wear and needs a good clean up. Well worth a visit though on the way south to Sicily.

Graziella's place is wonderfully located on the historical town square with a spectacular view down the coast. Restaurants, cafes, and markets are within easy walking distance. Graziella responds to communications quickly, and her son Marco speaks very good English. We would stay here again if in the area.

The apartment is very clean, spatious and well equipped. It is located in Graziella's guest house, consisting of 3 apartments, which are sharing a huge 80 square meters patio. A big private balcony is overlooking the piazetta panoramica and has outstanding sea and mountain view. Everything is super close, and the beach is 5 minutes away by foot. Car is not needed, but I regreted I did not take a bike which would easily bring me (by lungomare) to Paola. Which is not a great choice to stay at, but it's a big city with many shops and a train station, which is well connected with pretty much everything. Day trips to Cosenza for shopping, Coast of Gods for snorkeling, Diamante and Belvedere for hanging out are easy. Nearby is not so easy to reach, but incredibly beautiful village Fiumefreddo Bruzio. Best to go there by car or taxi (15 Euros per person one way). One thing to consider though, Giaffu bar on Piazetta can be loud until very late on Summer weekends. But for me, it's a disomfort worth paying to stay at the heart of a historical village, on a resort with breathtaking views.

Fantastic experience, Graziella was immediately available and kind in answering our questions even before booking, and it was even more so once we arrived, in welcoming us and in telling us everything that could be useful during our stay . Fantastic, small and essential apartment, but importantly, not too narrow at the same time, you have in fact all the spaces you need; You can see that it has recently been renovated, modernized and furnished, in my opinion the style of the bathroom. Excellent general cleanliness, to make the fussy I would have paid a little more attention to some details of the kitchen, which however can escape from one stay to another. Surprised in positive also from the village, very alive and frequented also by boys, only flaw (that absolutely does not depend on the house) some difficulty in the parking in particular days between ZTL and various prohibitions, but good or bad with a bit of "hard work" you can still park. In conclusion, if in the future we will have a chance, we will definitely be back!

The accommodation is in an excellent position, a few steps from the station, the promenade, and the main services. Antonio and his brother are absolutely great hosts. Their response time is super quick, he gave great tips on restaurants, places to visit etc. He even ordered a delivery pizza for us one day when the weather was terrible outside. This apartment is great value for the price you pay. I would absolutely recommend Antonio to anyone.

This is a place that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, both regarding the apartment and Antonio as a host. The apartment was very welcoming, it just felt very nice to come in to this nicely renovated old beautiful building and to open the doors to this cosy studio. It was very clear that Antonio puts his soul into the place, Everything felt newly renovated with a careful touch. Sparkling clean and fresh, and at the same time just the right amount touch of vintage. It had everything I needed for a nice and comfortable stay in Paola. Antonio is probably the definition of hospitality and consideration. From the very start, when my train was late he kept in touch, guided me through the journey and made sure I arrived and was guided to the door. He speaks perfect English and was always at hand to check if there was anything I needed or if I had any questions. He was not only a very considerate host, but also a pleasant person to talk to and discuss with. On the day of my apartment he adjusted my check-out time so that it would fit with my travel itinerary. One day I needed a document printed and he swiftly helped me with that. I originally went to Paola just to visit the town that has my name. I’m from the United States and I was very surprised with how beautiful this city was. I arrived late and it was dark but the Airbnb was literally 1 minute walk from the train station that I felt safe. I was greeted by Antonio’s son Danielo and he spoke very little English so I told him to speak Italian and I could understand him well! He brought me a water and told me there was a restaurant right downstairs if I was hungry. I was in the top floor with a tiny patio where you can a little bit of the ocean and an AC that worked well (the second night it leaked but it might have been because of the setting it was one I just cleaned it up with one of the MILLION towels that I was given!) the bed was neatly made with beautiful (I want to say Egyptian cotton) bedding. There was a washer that ended up being broken but after telling Antonio it was replaced with a blink of an eye by his other son Francisco. I went and got groceries bc I also had a kitchen and it was very easy to use. As I was looking for pots and pans to cook I noticed a few of the items had crumbs, or smelled of bread. I just washed them it wasn’t a big deal. The restroom was big but the shower curtain was a little dirty which I don’t know how you can avoid so I didn’t think too much of it. I stayed there for 3 days I believe and I felt like I lived there. It was an amazing price considering that I was 5 minutes away from the beach and 1 minute away from a cafe (which there are tons of them) everything is a good walking distance, I love hiking so this was fun exploring a new city! I wish I New more Italian coming here! The locals New I was a tourist and I wish I could have gotten to know them. Antonio and his boys were very helpful and no doubt were very attentive. There is NO WIFI so if that is a make or break deal for you I would suggest not staying here. It was a great way to just get away from everything!

Che bello ! What a wonderful stay! I love this apartment it’s something like I would love to own myself one day. Perfect little town just up the hill I felt safe to walk the ancient stairway day or night although it is a real Italian town and so some of the lights along the path sometimes might be broken - everywhere I looked was another post card photo in this lovely spot. Ancient times meet modern day railroad as the train is just a walk towards the Sea. The sea is right in view and maybe takes 5 minutes although I’m sure I could run to it in one. It is nice and hot with a real chance to wear less clothes! I found san Lucido (old town) just up the hill and locals got to know me after a few days as I was buying fresh food and cooking for myself in the nice little kitchen - there are also nice restaurants around as well.. I could go on - it’s a real value and I will be back next year ! And of course Super great hosts !! Bacci ! Just great.!

Excellent apartment. Clean, equipped with everything you need, with a great location

During our 14-day stay in Italy, we spent 9 nights in the apartment of Amabile and Tina. On our arrival Tina welcomed us very warmly with coffee, fruits, merendine and water. We were able to contact Amabile and Tina for any questions. The apartment is located 100m from Lungomare. Next to it there is also a hotel with a swimming pool. The rooms are spacious, bathroom and kitchen are fully furnished. From the balcony, you can see the sea. Since it was very hot, we were very glad that the apartment was equipped with an air conditioner. The location is perfect for the beach and the city. At Lungomare we could have breakfast each morning with cappuccino and cornetto. The old town of San Ludico is a bit above and is within walking distance (the stairs are right next to the house) or by car (parking is available) easy to reach. For fish lovers, there are a number of good restaurants in the neighborhood. Good pizzeria and gelaterie can be found in the old town. Amabile and Tina are very flexible, accommodating and very welcoming. I highly recommend staying with them. Thanks again and maybe once again in San Lucido.

Perfect location for the sea and convenient for the life of the country: parked the car under the house, you no longer feel the need, if not for trips outside San Lucido. The house is very bright and the sea view terrace really lovely and relaxing. The apartment is equipped with everything that can also be used for long stays.

Our stay in this apartment was absolutely wonderful! Massimo and his lovely mom, Tina, made us feel completely at home and welcome upon our arrival. My family and I are first time Airbnb users and the warm generosity and hospitality we were offered made our experience a memorable one. The apartment is very conveniently located, close to the beach and other amenities such as restaurants and markets. It was spotless and super comfortable, and the rustic charm and character of the home made the experience all that much better. The view from the apartment balcony was absolutely spectacular!! A special thank you to Massimo for his responsiveness and professionalism from beginning to end, and for being so accommodating to us with our change of plans! The compliments are the necessary premise to do: in Massimo, in the first place, available from the beginning to the end of the holiday, at the house that made us available, to the places that he has shown us, many of which are really under house, among which the Best San Lucido restaurant, located right in front of the house; there is also another restaurant and another pizzeria on the same street (home-made): we tried them all three, they tasted fish dishes in the exquisite area; we were more than satisfied with it. As soon as you enter the house, very clean, great to spend the day in total relaxation with air-conditioned, the sea-view balcony stands out: there we spent the best moments. We stayed there at the end of August, in 4, no car. We fell in love with the country, the people, the climate. San Lucido is a country between sea and mountain: the house is exactly halfway. The promenade is very close, private beaches (at very low prices) and free alternates, offering a spectacular sea in the morning, and at night entertain with events and music in keeping with the times. The historic center is just as close to you, and can be reached via the stairs next to the house: Bancomat, butchers, supermarkets and bars for all your needs await you just up the stairs. In addition, San Lucido also has the railway station, which is very small on foot. As we have said, we did not use the car because we did not have it with us, but it would not have been necessary. Paola, which we visited, is about 5km away. Many compliments, and only positive notes. We will definitely be back! Recommended for young people like us, it moves every night until late at night in the old town, open shops ... But San Lucido is also suitable for children and adults. The apartment is a stone's throw from the sea, the beach is free and clean. Very clean and clear sea. There are not many people. The apartment has everything you need for living, cozy, a lot of space: two bedrooms, living room, balcony, kitchen, bathroom. The hosts are very friendly, always in touch. Climbing the stairs up directly from the house, you get to the old town with a beautiful view and shops, a cafe. Near the house there is a pizzeria and a restaurant. A five-minute walk from the house is the railway station, from where you can get to neighboring towns. There is also a bus service. Thank you owners for a wonderful holiday!

I am so happy I found this wonderful apartment! I am living in Paola for almost a year and I really feel at home in this apartment. Francesco and his family are so kind, helpful, and welcoming. The apartment offers INCREDIBLE views of the sea. One of my favorite things is to sit in the windowsill and watch the sunset each night. The apartment has everything you need— free WiFi, a washing machine, storage space, complete kitchen, two bedrooms, air conditioning, heaters, living area with a dining table set, comfortable beds and it’s in a nice location too. It is up on a hill so it’s a little far to reach the beach, but the walk there is pleasant. And the views from up here are so worth it! There are also grocery stores within a 6 minute walk. I truly love staying here and I am thankful for Francesco’s hospitality! His family has made sure to let me know that I can ask them for help if need be. There is also free parking available which is very nice for when my family will come to visit me here. It also feels very safe here especially since Francesco’s family lives upstairs and in the houses nearby. I definitely recommend this wonderful place!

The apartment is clean and well located. Francesco was really nice and helpful and it was easy to communicate with him. Even though we only stayed for one night, our stay was very nice. Would highly recommend to stay at this place and could have easily stayed there for longer.

Nice location - very close to the center, although upstairs, but quiet and peaceful. It is not easy to find in the dark but Francesco almost immediately found us after our information that we got lost. The apartment is super furnished and equipped with everything you need. It's just comfortable. We recommend to everyone.

We stayed and this wonderful place on our way to Sicily for just one night. The view is spectacular, and the place is spacious and very well appointed. I highly recommend this place if you are traveling that way, you will not be disappointed!

But we definitely felt in love with the house, its wonderful garden and especially the magical 180° see view. In winter the place is already very cozy but it should be even better when the weather allows for sun baths and swimming in the pool!!! I've never seen a swimming pool with such a view! Really stunning property. Only there for an overnight, unfortunately, so we didn’t get to spend a lot of time exploring the property and amenities. It is an ideal rustic countryside retreat. I would highly encourage you to arrive before sunset as arriving at night doesn’t do the views justice (and can be a little unnerving if you’re not used to smaller Italian hillside roads)! Wonderful to wake up to. Phillipe was an excellent communicator and kind host, even being available late in the evening to let us in and show us around the house so we would be comfortable.

Since the first contact the host was super kind always unswerving in few minutes. We arrived in this wonderful place inside the nature with a 180 * view on the Calabrians sea... they also planted a lot of fruit threes that we could eat every day super ..... all the people around was kind and we could get directly to the farmers all we need super fresh... is a perfect place to relax and enjoy your time in a pice of paradise close to every services you need ... thank you very much Philippe we will come back for sure next year ....

Beautiful house with neat decoration and splendid views. We spent a week with two couples with 5 children (from 2 years to 6 years). The pool is not secure but access is not easy which makes it difficult to reach. Local producers pass to offer you vegetables, meats, eggs, wines etc ... home supplies. Not to mention the small orchard with tomatoes, peppers, figs ... A real plus! Philippe thank you for this quality address!

We can recommend this accommodation to 100%. Fantastic location, great pool, huge area with fig trees, olives, vines etc. pure nature! Furnishing everything available. The communication with the landlord and the on-site support worked great. The people are super-friendly and really try hard. Thanks to Anita, Lorenzo and Marcello. We could buy meat, vegetables, etc. directly from the neighbors. Anita also offers to cook for the guests. The complex has a fantastic view and is located just outside San Lucido. Around San Lucido there are nice beaches, restaurants, shopping etc. Not tourist crowded - a real insider tip for Italy fans. Great vacation.

I found Antonio's apartment to be a quite comfortable place for one-and-half-week family vacation in Calabria during low-season October period. It is recommended for those, who prefer quiet family vacation, away from intensive tourist attraction. The beach is only 10 minutes away by foot from the apartment. 15 minutes by foot distance to San Lucido center if you want to have your cup of coffee with a marvelous view to the cost line from the hill. Antonio's apartment has a very convenient location close to SS18 road if you rent a car for sight-seeing tours around Calabria.

That was very good stay in Antonio's house. The place is really nice, with a geat seaview from the terrace, very clean and new with everything that we needed. Even if we needed something else Antonio was very kind and ready to help us. Communication was very good. Thank you very much also for helping us to get to the place, great welcoming and providing us information about the city! Moreover San Lucido is a beautiful city with great restaurants and little quiet beaches and only about 10 minutes by walk from Antonio's place. We highly recommend to visit Antonio but the best way is to get there by car because buses don't go very often from Paola and it will be easier to see other places nearby.

Antonio is a kind and helpful owner, eager and attentive to every detail. The ten-minute walk to the beach has been recently restored and is equipped for all needs. Two double bedrooms, one single, bathroom, kitchen and terrace; In short, space is missing. Thanks to the air conditioner installed there is a guarantee that you will never suffer the heat. The terrace has a great view (partial), and in fact it is possible to enjoy the Calabrian lights and a delightful sea. The beds are comfortable, the quiet neighborhood and you can fall into a nice rem stage. In the fully equipped kitchen (with oven) there is a sofa and a tv led. Drawing the sums, I'm absolutely satisfied with the house and the owner, for sure we will have other occasions to meet you (maybe for some London apartment ^^)

The house is beautiful and has an amazing view of the sea. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and the terrasse is the perfect place to start your day with a coffee in the sun. Although situated on a bigger road (which you do not hear, neither from the house nor terrasse) you are in the middle of the beautiful little streets of Paola in less than 5 minutes. Both the house and the city are highly recommendable. Additionally, both Sandro and his sister were incredibly helpful!

The Vecchio Casolare is a wonderful place to stay in Paola. The view of the Mediterranean, the trees and flowers on the property, the feeling that you are in a real home with lots of space and personal touches made for an authentic experience. Anna gave us all the info we needed and Sandro patiently replied to all questions, even sending his brother in law to turn on the TV which had lots of foreign language channels. Weather was perfect, beach was so clean, town lovely in its own Calabrian way. A well-kept secret to much of America and worth exploring by foot. Once we learned our way around the many stairways, getting around was rigorous but easy.

We loved staying at the Vecchio Cassolare. The view from the bedroom was amazing and the sunsets gorgeous. We visited many of the beaches that are within a hour to hour and a half driving distance including Pizzo and Tropea. Anna showed us around the house when we arrived and gave us tips on parking. We plan on returning

Beautiful house, very welcoming and very helpful the renter. Great location. The only drawback the parking a bit 'uncomfortable, but still passable in the background compared to everything else.

The house exceeded our expectations, it seems in the countryside but the center is not far away for 20 minutes on foot, there is also a large supermarket within walking distance. The house has two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a lot of cooking utensils, beautiful antique furniture, there is even a garden where figs grow))) Fresh air, how nice it was to wake up in the morning))) Sister Sandro Anna met us at the station, told me everything . And the town of Paola is very pretty, would come back again, thanks Sandro.

A wonderful house to stop traveling, Andro answered messages very quickly, I had to look a bit for the entrance, since it was not marked with anything (going down the highway). The house has all possible household appliances, fans, a kitchen.

Highly recommended! The room is really beautiful, spacious and cared for in every detail. Exemplary cleanliness. The structure is new and elegant, in a very pretty and quiet area. The host was always helpful and polite, quick to respond, and even suggested the most beautiful beach (to go absolutely!) A stone's throw away, a ten minute walk. Another very positive note is the delicious breakfast, which can be served in the room, in the garden or directly at the bar with a wide choice. I would definitely go back there again!

When we arrived to Paola, Joe picked us up from the trainstation and gave a tour of the city with his car. Amazing host and apartment + the city is nice and mellow, worth a visit. Would definetly recommend!!

Joe’s place is very clean and in a great location. It is close to the ocean and to the city center. Great restaurants close by per Joe’s recommendation. The sanctuary of Saint Francesco was beautiful and Joe took us on a quick tour of the coastline as well. Much better than we expected

Nice, light apartment with a great view from the balcony to the sea, we were watching stunning sunsets in all kinds of colours. Walking distance to the old part of the city about ten minutes, the beach is just 5 minutes walking. Nice little fruit and vegetable shop with good bred as well 5 minutes. Joe is super friendly and cared very much about us, we felt welcome!

OMG! The rooftop terrace alone is worth booking this place. Ocean waves, sunsets, paradise here at Joe’s. The unit is very comfortable, and has everything you need. Joe is generous with picking up at train station, and other assistance and advice. Internet didn’t work and Joe was all over the company to resolve while I was there. Getting to town, supermarket and train station is manageable on foot. Definitely a great find on this coastal town. Recommend it and will return.

Joe’s apartment is better than the pictures allow you to see. It has a spectacular view of the ocean. You are also able to park your car safely in his driveway. As a host, Joe goes above and beyond. This is the best Airbnb in Italy!!! Cesare, Cesare’s wife, Luisa and Mario make you feel like family while staying here. We were greeted with great hospitality from the time we arrived until the day we left. The property is very well located and sparkling clean. It was a short walk to the beach with crystal clear water, great bakery and many other restaurants and bars. The large open patio offers a spectacular view of the town, the ocean and the breathtaking sunset. We highly recommend staying with Cesare and his family. You will be as impressed as we were staying here.

Cesare's space is excellent! Very comfortable and pleasant to stay for a long time. We stayed a week and took advantage of the location to get to know the surroundings, too. It is easy to get to and from both the beach and shopping. The family is always ready to help you with what you need, even if it is to talk. If we return to Torremezzo from Falconara, we will certainly stay in Cesare again. Thank you very much for the welcome we had.

Our stay at Antico Casale del Buono was simply amazing. The accommodation is located on a hill which enables an excellent ocean view. The host family is so friendly and welcoming, they gave us a couple of useful tips and recommendations and helped us with any questions. The room itself was clean, everything you need was in there and the common area outside was perfect to relax in the shade. This place is optimal to visit Tropea, little old towns and castles. You can reach the beach in 5 minutes walking. We would come back any time and thank Cesare and family for making our stay excellent!

Cesare and his beautiful farmhouse was a great respite from the city for a few days for us. The setting and hospitality are outstanding: coffee on the patio, fresh fruit everywhere, even a pastry treat to take with us on the train; extras that one does not expect. One may be glad to have a car to visit nearby sites, but one can always walk to the sea easily. The family was constantly solicitous for our needs and we enjoyed our stay very much.

From the apartment window you have a view to the steps/walk up to historical centre, the sundeck you have 360 views of the marina & Paola town. I enjoyed sitting out on the sundeck soaking up the sunshine on my last day in Paola. 3minute walk to the train station & beach promenade to apartment. Must do - take a long steep walk up to The Santuario di S Francesco in late afternoon, the views of the amazing sunset on the way down well worth the effort. Even though I did not meet Antonio, I did his 2 brothers. Communication with Antonio always quick responses. Highly recommend as host. Just a note - No TV.

The apartment is new and has a lot of style. Perfectly equipped to stay long. The bathroom is beautiful and the shower is always warm, with great pressure. The terrace is a dream. From there they have a 360 degree view where you can shoot to relax or enjoy the landscapes of the sea, the mountains and the city of Paola. Antonio is a very attentive host. Always there to help with everything we need and advise when we wanted to visit places. We are happy to have crossed and received you so quietly. Paola loved it so much. It is a place that is worth knowing. It also has an excellent gastronomic, cultural and natural offer.

Coming to Paola was a change in travel plans for us and flats for rent with the amenities we wanted were not available for our complete stay. I sent out requests for a solution to some Airbnb hosts and Antonio came to our rescue. He had a temporary suite for us until his flat became available - right across the hall even! His 3rd floor suite is restored in rustic decor, with windows for light, air flow, and view plus we really enjoyed the roof top patio for watching the sunsets every evening. His place is close to the train station, beach, and just down the hill from the town center. As a host Antonio is very attentive. He contacted us several times to make sure we were content. Everything was clean and in working order. We highly recommend both the flat and Antonio as host.

Wonderful Apartment with a great host!

Stayed here from August 26 to September 5. The apartment was very clean, we were met by the Antonio brothers. I would like to note the hospitality of the owner and his family, we were told where to dine, what to visit and were constantly interested in whether everything was in order, whether we needed something) Very convenient location: 3 minutes walk from the railway station, 7 minutes to the sea. Nearby are many worthy places where you can eat. Value for money is good. The apartments are equipped with air conditioning, a refrigerator, bed linen and towels. Recommend.

The house is just as described and presented. A few steps from the sea and from the center in the beautiful marina of Paola. Quiet and well connected place. The hosts (Antonio and brothers) were very kind and helpful. I highly recommend it!

The place was great. Lovely balcony and front terrace. Close to the beach and local commercial centre including groceries and cafe. Good WiFi. Very clean. Nice fire! Lovely breakfast provided including home made (?) jam which was delicious!! Definitely reccommend.

We stayed at this home as it offered exactly what we wanted, space, good amenities and based on the feedback an excellent host. Happy to say we were not disappointed, Teresa is a great host, the place was sparkling clean, many nice touches such as coffees, Nespresso machine, milk and other foods in the fridge, biscuits, cakes, etc, etc. Way beyond what we expected. The bedrooms were very comfortable, mattresses especially and I enjoyed a great night's sleep each night. Was woken up early by local roosters but I didn't mind. The beach was a 2 min walk away, felt like our private beach as no-one else was there at the end of Oct. The icing on the cake was Teresa cooked a special meal for us, what a wonderful gesture and it tasted delicious. If I could, I would give this 10/10 so I would highly recommend this place if anyone wants to stay in this area.

Teresa was incredibly hospitable! When we checked in after our scheduled time she was accommodating and friendly. Her condo is nestled in a cute town. She included a fulfilling breakfast that was completely unexpected! Stay here!

We spent an amazing two weeks visiting Teresa and Domenico! Such wonderful, attentive hosts! Teresa treated us with Italian dishes - believe me, these are absolute masterpieces! If we had any questions, Teresa reacted very quickly, the connection is excellent. The apartments are very clean, cozy and comfortable. There is everything for a wonderful holiday! In a small courtyard it is nice to sit after the sea and enjoy the cool Prosecco;) Fully equipped kitchen, we cooked with pleasure. Within a 5-minute walk there is an excellent shop where you can buy fresh fish, seafood, meat, vegetables and everything else. There is also a cafe with delicious pastries! Go to the sea for 5 minutes in a straight line. The beach is sandy, clean, pebbles closer to the water. Entering the sea is gentle, it’s very convenient for children! The sea is clean, warm! An amazing view of the dilapidated 12th century fortress located on the mountain opens from the sea. Near the house there is a fantastic pizzeria and a fish restaurant. On Saturdays, in the afternoon, a fair arrives. The town itself is very quiet - an ideal place for a relaxing holiday with your family, and if you want a more stormy experience - you can take a car and ride along the coast to neighboring cities. We had a great time at Caty`s appartament. It was clean and nice decorated. It is very central located but you can find the parking slot in front of the building. The appartament is like the little city San Lucido, a lot of detalis and very cozy. You can make yourself a coffee an enjoy it at the balcony or you go 1 minute and get some at one of the small local stores. In the lower part you can cook (we will find everything in the kitchen to prepare yourself a meal and the supermarket is 3 minutes away), read a book at the sofa or relax on the balcony. At the upper part you find the bedroom and the master-bathroom. When you wake you will have a beautyfull view. You sleep very well on the bed the neighbourhood is calm. Caty is such a good host. She gave us some tips where to go, helped us, when we had a question and is so friendly. If you stay in San Lucido, choose Caty`s appartament! You will love it!

Great place- it’s actually 2 floors and much bigger than the pictures show. Very clean and the air conditioner worked perfectly. You can also see the sea from the master bedroom! I would stay here again. Highly recommend.

We felt incredibly comfortable with Cesare and his family and would have liked to stay longer. The "Antico Casale del Buono" is a real oasis to recharge your batteries and unwind. Everything is designed with great attention to detail. Cesare is very hospitable. Although there is a lot of work to do with the big house and the turnaround, he always takes time for his guests. The talks with him are inspiring and very instructive (we learned a lot about olives, harvest, canning, storage, recipes, about Italy and Calabria in particular, ...). We also got great tips for trips in the area. Although the place itself, where the "Antico Casale del Buono" of Cesare and his family is, is not really interesting (except of course at Cesare ;-) and the sea front), there are some very pretty places in the immediate area to Discover. It is definitely a great oasis for refueling and at the same time an ideal starting point for smaller day trips in the near and far surroundings (Fiume Freddo, Cosenza, ...). Not to mention are of course also the four-legged friends who belong to the house: The three cute and very friendly dogs (Luna, Lani, Enea) as well as some cats (from very shy to very trusting). All these animals have come to the family ... they have sensed that they too are welcome in the "Antico Casale del Buono", treated in a friendly way and lovingly cared for.

We really enjoyed being in Falconara. Appartment is very close to the sea side (5 min. by walk), clean, comfortable, newly renovated. Cesare and his family was very friendly.

What a pleasure! Cesare and his family were incredible! From the check-in to the nice community dinner he organized with local food ... it was all perfect! The Casale is a perfect retreat with less than a 5 min walk to the beach. The water and even public beaches were great. From the terrace you can relax and watch a breathtaking sunset as well. Cesare’s Airbnb has all the amenities you need and more. The AC was great in the August heat. The Kitchenette in our unit made you want to cook a nice Italian meal! The Antico Casale stands on the slopes of a hill, you can see it along the highway that leads to Reggio Calabria coming from Paola. Everything in the Antico Casale is beautiful. Beautiful is the structure, with eighteenth-century features, a cleverly constructed mixture of stones and tiles and wood, amphorae, olive and fig trees, flowers and lemons, chairs and tables and red and green and orange umbrellas. Behind it the verdant hill, in the distance the sea. Doors and windows look at you like magical eyes, ready to welcome you. These are mostly small apartments tastefully furnished, comfortable and clean. The Antico Casale is not a resort, nor a hotel, nor a village but a community, a family. You will not find anything similar in any place in Italy because the Antico Casale is unique, unrepeatable, because the owners who run it are unique. Upon our arrival, crossing a large iron gate, Caesar welcomes us, affectionate, proud and sincere ways, clear and bright sharp eyes, a high-pitched voice. Soon we know the whole family. His wife Mrs. Anna, a beautiful and reserved woman. In the days to come we find her a great cook, kind beyond words. The daughter Luisa solar, always smiling, and her brother Mario likeable and jovial. In the Antico Casale it is all a "good morning Cesare, hello Mario, how are you, lady". And so it is also with other guests, friendly people from various regions of Italy. In the evening you happen to find yourself at a large table, by Cesare and Anna basted, eating watermelon and sweets in ten twenty people you never knew before, talking about this and that, laughing and joking, like old friends you haven't seen for a long time . Cesare’s Airbnb is such a lovely place to stay. The building has an old world charm with garden and patios that we enjoyed. The rooms are clean and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Cesare’s family is very accommodating and ready to help you with any inquiry you may have. Me, my husband and family would definitely stay here again.

The stay in Torremezzo surprised us. Although the village is small, its location allows you to move easily (if you want) to reach other tourist destinations to visit. The apartment taken was comfortable, welcoming and very clean. We had all the amenities needed to fully enjoy our stay. Mr. Cesare and his family are fantastic people; they welcomed us as soon as they arrived and they immediately put us at ease, making us feel at home; they also provided us with a guide to places to visit and typical dishes to taste. We are fully satisfied !!!

Cesare and his family were lovely hosts asking us regularly to know if everything was fine .. their beautiful old house divided into apartments has only one fault but it is the one of all Italy of the coast, the proximity of the road and the railway but the garden and the terrace are furnished with great taste and the sea view is superb! The beach is very close and very pleasant as well as the beach restaurant of the brother of Césare where we eat excellent fresh fish ..

The Antico Forno is an excellent solution for a quick overnight stay but also for a multi-day vacation. The house is spacious, bright and is equipped with all the necessary services. The cleanliness is impeccable in every environment, which is furnished with a sober and functional taste. Next to the house there is a minimarket and a few steps down a Tabacchi, along a quiet street and silent night. Mario turned out to be an extremely kind, helpful and accurate host, from the stages following the booking to the punctual and courteous welcome. From Home!

Joe is a warm and generous host. He welcomed us to the apartment after we had been driving for a very long time. He provided little extras which were much appreciated - special kids drinks and snacks for our son and milk, water and a few staples in the cupboard in case we were too tired to go out for dinner. He also suggested an authentic restaurant in town where we had a fantastic meal with dishes that reminded my husband of his childhood. Thank you for everything Joe. Paola is an interesting place and we very much enjoyed exploring. Arriving by train was easy. Joe was an amazing host - lots of great advice as to what to see and do. Wonderful, wonderful host and location. Joe drove us to the beach so we could meet the beach club owner. Then escorted us to the local grocery store. The home was fantastic-large and very clean. He had a washing machine so we did our laundry. Just an incredible stay in this beautiful town. I can’t speak highly enough about his hospitality!

What a magical place! This was one of my favorite places to stay at in Italy. Maria Teresa made us feel at home and she went out of her way to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. She helped us with our bags upon arrival and was readily available whenever we messaged her. This bed and breakfast is great and has everything you might need during your stay. Breakfast is included and was one of the best parts of our day, so delicious! The rooms are comfortable, and the common areas are beautifully decorated. There’s also a terrace on the roof overlooking the ocean from where you can see most of the city, and the sunsets here are breathtaking. The town is small, quiet, and beautiful. All restaurants are within walking distance. The beach is not far (by car). I am definitely looking forward to visiting again!

It is worth a trip JUST to come stay here. This may be the best Airbnb I have ever stayed it - the place is far more beautiful even than it appears, the welcome could not have been warmer, the room was comfortable, the village stunning, the breakfast incredible. We were so sorry to only stay two nights!

What a magical place. Maria Teresa is a wonderful host—from the moment we arrived until the moment we departed. She greeted us at the arch to enter the village and helped us with our bags. The accommodations are beautifully restored, sparkling clean, and far better than the photos show. We wished we had planned to stay at least two more days. Each room had its own bathroom and the beds were very comfortable. We had good air conditioning and views to the sea. Maria Teresa had arranged for us to have dinner in town which was superb. We were a party of six with two vegans and there were wonderful vegan options for pasta and accompaniments. All the food was excellent. Great wine, too! Dinner for six was 120 euros with 2 bottles of wine. Maria Teresa prepared breakfast and even prepared eggs she brought from her farm! The views are spectacular from the rooms but also from the rooftop patio. A very special place. The road to the village is narrow but reasonable and there is public parking just outside the village. Rarely do we visit somewhere twice, but we are certain we will return!

This is a must stay in Calabria. A beautiful mountain-top village with stunning views. The home is gorgeous - respecting the original architecture and character but with modern touches (wifi, great water pressure, air conditioning). We rented 3 rooms which each had a unique space. Beautiful old house, well decorated- Even though we had private rooms we still had use of the kitchen and terrace upstairs- it felt very homey. I had a sea view which was just beautifully blue in the morning as I woke up. Maria Teresa is such a wonderful host, she made sure we had everything we needed - she showed us around town, made suggestions for restaurants and still had time to cook us breakfast each morning. Great experience!

This is a one is better experiences of my life. Very old, cozy and not like everyone else place. Very old castle. Maria Teresa told me about the village, showed all the interesting places, restaurants and introduced to different people. Our family strong recommended this place for all travelers! p.s. Had a wonderful stay in the cottage. A beautiful green area and at walking distance to the little town and beach. Martina and her mother were very nice and even picked me up at the train station when I arrived.

Luca’s apartment is well located, with all amenities nearby. The apartment was very clean and luca replied straight away when we needed something. San lucido is a nice and small village - ideal if you want to relax and enjoy the sea. There is a nice beach within walking distance.

The house is new just renovated and with all the comforts, excellent its position both with respect to the center and to the sea. Very nice also the village of the country to visit, and thanks to Luca, a very helpful guy who guided us right away, we spent a wonderful week.

It all about the view, which is amazing! Great seafood restaurants in this cozy little town and easy to get to the beach area. The unit itself is completely remodeled, clean, and even comes with a washing machine. There are two sets of stairs within the unit, but besides that, I can only say thank you to Caty for a wonderful place.

Great place, everything is brand new and sparkling clean, the view from the balcony is just perfect, the price is very affordable.

It is a really great place to stay! We stayed there for 7 days & felt at home. A car is required to reach the property. It is in the middle of the mountains and the view is amazing. By car it is only 20min to the sea! It is a semi-detached house with a beautiful terrace, a small lawn and a beautiful courtyard. In the yard is also a restaurant where you can eat nice in the evening. We can only recommend the property !!

A true Agritourism in a beautiful setting. Perfectly located to radiate between the northwest coast of Calabria and the Sila Natural Park. The house on the ground floor, overlooks an olive grove and a magnificent view of the mountain. She is very well equipped and extremely clean. As for the hosts, they are disarmingly kind. They were very responsive to our requests. Small mention to the products of their farm that they made us taste (olive oil, figs, blackberries, tomatoes ect). Restaurant of rare quality in the region. I highly recommend it and will be sure to come back for longer.
