A wonderful relaxing stay if you don't mind being far from the city. It's abut an hour away by train. Hotaka and her mother are wonderful hosts and their home is very cozy. Loved the fresh flowers!

Really clean and unique place, really enjoyed the picturesque countryside and living experience

Hotaka was a superb host. She response quickly to all our queries and requests. We arrived at 5:00pm. She was there to meet and greet us. She immediately make us feel comfortable and very much welcomed. She also introduced us to her mother, a nice & sweet lady. Hotaka showed us around and explained about her place and how to use the various equipment. She also explained the elaborate way of japanese garbage categories. Seems very complicated and inconvenience initially, however you get use to it and then appreciate the Japanese seriousness in maintaining the environment. How I wish the rest of the world would follow suit. Hotaka's place is well equiped with the necessary cooking facilities, eg microwave oven, kitchen hob, fridge, pots and pans, crockeries, utensils, etc. Hotaka's place is strategically located, far from the bustle of Tokyo city or traffic, but not far from shopping centre and facilities. The Inegaya Supermarket is about 850 meter away. It is in a nice residential and peaceful surrounding, recommended for anybody who is looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay and rest. Hotaka's place is about 350 to 400m from the Seibuen Station and Seibu-Huenchi Station. So travelling to downtown Tokyo is easy, however downtown Tokyo is about 1 hr 20 minutes ride away. We will definitely stay here again if ever we come back to Tokyo. We would highly recommend Hotaka's place to friends and acquittance. It was a grand first stay in Tokyo thanks to this Airbnb, the host was very kind and helpful, the building was very spacious as well and hand some fantastic technology and home amenities were impressive.

Very beautiful traditional Japanese house with extremely convenient transportation. The hypermarkets and convenience stores are within a ten-minute walk. The landlord is very friendly and provides station pick-up service and also generously proposes that it can be provided if required within his time. I took care of the children. I was able to spend a very good time with great facilities and excellent hospitality. The explanation at the time of check-in was also polite, and I was very grateful to teach the children how to start the game (selection, setting) kindly to the children. There were a lot of home appliances and kitchen equipment, so I was able to stay like a living. Although it was a large car with three numbers, it is also helpful to be able to park on the premises. A wonderful place to stay in Kawagoe. A short walk from shops and tourist attractions. About a 10 minute walk from a bus stop that takes you to and from Kawagoe Station. His house is something special. It's a traditional Japanese experience with a modern twist. The rooms have tatami floors and futon beds on the floors. Very comfortable. There's a kotatsu in the common room. But the real treat is the bathroom. The bathtub is exquisite! Come here to relax. He also has a bar, and shared a few drinks and music with us. Overall, a great host and place to stay. Highly recommend, especially for Star Wars fans ;)

You can see the hut structure in this inn renovated from an old private house. The historical district of Kawagoe is also very close and convenient. There is a 7-Eleven across the road, so you can eat and drink. The accommodation was very delicate, and they heard me too much. Specifically, it is an extension of check-out time. The bath is big and comfortable.

The landlord is very kind. Since I work from home, I can always ask if you have any questions. Although the place is a bit remote, I think that the landlord will pick up and drop off in a distant place, so I don't think it is a problem. Other than that, it is perfect. The first floor can be used freely. The second floor is a common space with the landlord. There are sofas, TVs, tables, chairs and kitchenware. You can also cook by yourself to save some food costs. btw thank you landlord for dessert, thank you =)

Hideko is a very kind and polite host. She offered Japanese home cooked breakfast for us free of charge. She stayed next door, she came and talked to us in the morning and cook breakfast for us in the kitchen. She is very friendly and can speak Mandarin and English. We communicate without any problem. There’s a few supermarket and restaurants near by. Very convenient. The place is sparkling clean, with full kitchen utensils, washing machine. She also provide electric blanket on all beds. Would definite recommend this place to all who want a local experience in suburb area of Japan. The near by Kawagoe town is just 25 minutes drive away.

I felt attentive everywhere so that I could stay comfortably. It was clean and we could choose bed or futon, had breakfast prepared, laundry net was prepared, and it was very helpful. There was a stove in the dressing room, and it was warm even after leaving the bath. There were pipe hanger and mirror stand in room, too and was convenient. Perfect, just perfect. First, Ms Hideko is the kindest and most attentive Airbnb host I’ve had. Bar none. For me, a Coloradan who’s new to Japan, the room was fantastic because it allowed me to spend a night in a suburban Japanese home. I was the sole guest so my “room” was actually an entire furnished home, with a full kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and laundry. If you ever wanted a peek at Japanese home life, here’s your chance. It was a lovely accommodation. The bed was comfortable with a comforter on top, and an electric blanket below. The kitchen has a full refrigerator and cooking utensils for those inclined to cook. The coffee is great, as is the tea. There’s even a washing machine. The home is in a quiet suburban neighborhood, and, as Airbnb likes to say, it’s all “sparkling clean”. Nearby are a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and a supermarket. It’s a pleasant 15-minute walk from the Wakaba train station, but if you prefer a lift, Ms Hideko will pick you up, and drop you off. Valet service, no kidding! And, Ms Hideko provides a great map of the local area, so it’s easy to explore the neighborhood and see everyday life in Japan. I urge you accept Ms Hideko’s offer for a dinner. She cooks it at her nearby home and brings it over. It’s just wonderful. Then, in the morning, you wake up, and she has breakfast cooking! It’s like staying at your mother’s house. On my next trip to Japan I’ll just stay at Ms Hideko’s place the entire time and explore the surrounding area. If for no other reason, I’ll come to visit the gracious Ms Hideko, again.

It was a one night stay, but I was able to relax as if I was at home. The breakfast was delicious too. I would like to use it again.

The owner Kimiyason is a very kind lady who often gives us apples, persimmons and other fruits. She knows that we won't drive and drive us to the National Waterfront Park. The best thing is that the Japanese food that we asked her to make is really delicious. She often cares that we are not cold at night, and reminds us to open the electric blanket. She is a Japanese dance teacher with a level 2 license. She teaches us to dance Japanese folk dance and make YouTube. This is our unforgettable memory.

The bed and breakfast run by the old lady, in the residential area of Kawagoe, takes about ten minutes to walk to the lively place. But it is very quiet. It is surrounded by schools and residential areas. I really like this feeling and I can experience the local life experience in Japan. The old lady lives nearby, and English communication is a little inconvenient, but the landlord is enthusiastic. The rooms are well-equipped and easy to use. However, it is recommended that the landlord does not use blankets in the bedroom, but it is easier to change the quilt and it will feel cleaner.

The rooms are clean and tidy, very close to Kitain, and you can walk to Koedo. The host was very welcoming.

The location is not too far off from everything. All was in walking distance and easy to remember when finding our way back. I'd definitely come back to Tomoko&Fumiko's place. Loved it.

Interesting old house. It is what is advertised. Great location. There is only one toilet for the 8 people shared room but I didn’t have to wait more than a minute or two and even then, not often. It is noisy, again as advertised, but they provide ear plugs. It gets quiet after 11:00 PM. Good value and an interesting experience. Our roommates were interesting and considerate. I would stay here again

This house is so beautiful. It is so close to 2 stations so it is a convenient home base if you want to do stuff a few train rides away. Super great host! Met us at the train station, bought us lemon tea, served us hot tea and crackers when we got to the house, and gave us a little tour of the area. Such a great experience.

The house is very nice and the location is very convenient. Seibu Yuenji Station is a 2-minute walk. The playground, Lake Tama and Sayama Park are opposite. The second floor room can see Mount Fuji. One of the best place to stay in. It was well worth the amount that I have spent. The host was very kind, gave me tips, even offered to bring me to the hospital when I was sick the day. You have a in-house toilet, in-house bathing/showering area, even a washing machine. It is all private, all just within your own area. The host does everything to ensure that you are comfortable and enjoying your stay. You have a mall nearby, ramen shop, a convenience store. It is definitely not within the heart of tokyo, may take a bit of time to and fro. Everything else though, it is fantastic.

Tetsu and Stewart are wonderful hosts that go above board to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. They are both great cooks so the included breakfast was delicious & healthy(they could easily be running a restaurant). Their location is about 20=30min walk to Higashi Agano station and a very pleasant walk too although I only did the walk once as other times I either had a heavy backpack or it was dark so they happily picked me up at the station & even took me to an onsen. I loved the location being in the nature & could hear water running (a stream) whilst snuggled up on the most comfortable mattress in a lovely tatami mat room. All very cozy and welcoming. Thanks guys.

This is my second time staying with Tetsu & Stewart. Even though it's a busy period for them, I'm grateful that they are able to open their house to me. Fabulous, comfortable and warm as always. We seemed to have come to a high class villa in the countryside near the Seibu Ikebukuro line. The surrounding nature was abundant and the hospitality was great.

A very nice house. Recommended for those who want to be surrounded by nature and mountains. Two of the hosts are very kind, and the neighbors also speak gently. It's hard to taste the city. Summer may be a bit muggy, but spring and fall are the best. Stewart's breakfast is also the best.

It's a fantastic peaceful location with great hosts to guide you to local attractions. Loved falling asleep hearing the sounds of the stream next to Tetsu and Stewart's home. A wholesome tasty breakfast was provided each morning. Thanks guys!

A wonderful stay at Tetsu and Stewart’s house near Higashi-Agano. Anybody looking for a break away from Tokyo to enjoy some time close to nature will really appreciate this location. So close to Tokyo, yet a world away. Set in a wooded valley location, this immaculate property has a serene feeling to it. Guest accommodation is the large ground floor tatami rooms, adding another dimension to the experience. So relaxing sleeping to the sounds of wind in the trees and the nearby rushing mountain stream. Tetsu and Stewart are fabulous hosts. Very knowledgeable about the area and helpful in suggesting day trip itineraries that will suit one’s interests. This area has so much to offer from art, cafés, onsen and the full scope of activities that can be enjoyed in such a beautiful natural environment. Breakfast on the deck was excellent and we enjoyed so much talking with our hosts who very quickly felt like friends we had known forever.

It was a nice room at station Chika! It is recommended because you can watch Netflix.

The place was sparkling clean, and the hosts were very quick and informative when communicating. It's a good location if you want a quieter, more peaceful alternative to staying in the heart of Tokyo, but it's still close to many of the hotspots with lovely restaurants and useful supermarkets very close by. Would highly recommend!

This was my first time staying at West Kumegawa and I have no complaints. Kingi and his staff are the best! Very quick with answering messages and staff responded almost immediately and were so courteous and nice. Very close to the train station and we had no trouble finding the apartment. Literally took less than 5 minutes to walk there from the train station. Apartment was very comfortable and was easy to feel like a home, away from home. Very clean and well organized. I love that so many places in the area are open late or 24 hours. Lots of restaurants to choose from and SEIYU is open 24 hours with a huge variety of prepared foods. Highly recommended. Plan to stay here again in the future.

Mikosan's place is very close to the Kawagoe station and Crea Mall shopping area. I enjoyed its convenient location and the quiet place at night. The guest house is traditional Japanese style. Very clean and tidy Japanese-style room, the first time you come to Japan It takes about 10 minutes to walk from Kawagoe Station on the Tobu Tojo Line. It is easy to find the tips in AirBnb and the map app. The hostess will meet you in the room and then introduce the use of various furniture. Because of the wooden structure, the sound insulation effect is poor, and friends from China may not be used to it at first. But since I came here, it is not a good thing to experience the most local Japan. It should be noted that the room does not provide personal washing tools such as toothpaste and toothbrush. You can bring your own or go to a nearby convenience store to buy a set.

Very quiet neighborhood that accommodates children really good. Not to far from downtown and the sights. Excellent food near the house and plenty of convenient stores. The Host were phenomenal and took care of us everyday we were there. Highly recommend this for anyone staying in the area. Definitley a superhost!!!

The hospitality was like nothing I have ever experienced with airbnb. The host was very kind and helpful. They were very generous, making food, offering drinks, they even dried my shoes and provided me with an umbrella because my one broke! I would definitely recommend this accommodation as the host is amazing and the location is great especially as it is only a 15 minute walk to the centre!

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at this minpaku in Kawagoe! It was a very clean space with plenty of amenities and memorable homemade breakfast. The hosts were very accommodating and very carefully explained everything in the living space as well as the surrounding area. Would recommend to anybody who is looking for a comfortable place to come back to mostly to sleep and recharge in a cozy bedroom.

We stayed in Noriko’s place for 6 days. We had a nice stay. It’s near in Tamagawa Josui Station, convenience stores and restaurants. They are very nice and accomodating family. Even we check in late midnight because of our flight, he tried to stay awake to welcome us. He also answers quickly if I have some questions. They also have a very cute daughter and sometimes, we hear she sings and that made our day :) so cute.

It was a clean room. Family members were also friendly and I was able to spend comfortably. We think that access is good because it is near from station. I would like to use it again if I have a chance!

Takuyas guesthouse is a beautifully renovated old house. Everything is so well designed with a lot of love for details. the house is located close to the old town but is in a quiet little street. the staff is very nice, helpful and interested. We stayed at Takuyas guesthouse the last two nights of our japan journey and it was a very nice last japanese experience. highly recomanded!

Although there is a distance from the station, there are a lot of bus flights and convenient transportation. It can be reached on foot from all the attractions. The house is also very characteristic~ Downstairs is a small pub. The landlord also planned a tour route for us at check-in. Big enough! Hey!

He went out of his way to have a chat with you and made you feel welcome. The unit was close to the station and was very convenient as it was also close to the shops and food places. It was the Japanese house along the river. The view from the second floor sofa was really good. The making was also wide, cheerful and tasteful. Good place to stay!

10 minutes walk from the property to the convenience store, 15 minutes to Honkawagoe Station. For 25 minutes to the sweets street, I just walked to the shrine. I didn't get on the bus at all. I had two spacious rooms and a kitchen. It was nice to be able to taste a little when I later lived alone in Japan. About cleanliness, it was all good, but mat on room with sofa was dirty. I feel like I didn't rob. Everything else is clean. I have everything. It's home. Oh, toothbrush toothpaste. If there was only one drawback, the room was cold. It was cold when I turned on the heater but I slept. I put on my clothes and slept. The heaters in the air conditioner can also be activated, but I might not have known ... The removable heaters were warm when turned on, but the entire two rooms did not warm up. But if you keep the door closed for a while, it will get a little warmer. It was nice because the owner was very kind. I feel good for the day! I will definitely come here when I go to Kawagoe!

It was a very clean room and I was able to spend a relaxing time. A lot of amenities such as a stove, a range, and a refrigerator were also very helpful. The room was warm with air conditioning and heating, and I could sleep well with a soft futon at night. It was a wonderful inn that you would want to use when you come to Kawagoe again.
