We had really good time in Joe's appartment!! Joe was an amanzing host, helpful and with good advices! The village is really sweet!

That was a lovely stay! Joe and his wife Maria gave us warm welcome with so many infomation about Malta. Just 10min from the airport and close to Blue Grotto. The room is very cozy. Funitures, bed and, paintings are all so lovely. We're so glad to stay here.

This beautiful haven in the town of L-mqabba is great for exploring the island. We really liked being in the village, going to the shop every morning to buy fresh cheese and being out of Valetta. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming to us. We hired a scooter and this was a great way to get around and explore beautiful Malta, the village is very close to the Blue Grotto and very beautiful landscapes around! Thanks so much for having us!

Important: you can't hear any planes I wanted to start with that as my only worry was noise from planes since it's so close to the airport, but I genuinely didn't hear a single plane during our stay. I cannot recommend this place enough. Lots of the other reviews are spot on about how beautiful, clean etc this flat is but there are few things that made it really special for us. 1. The hosts are wonderful people, gave us the best recommendations for restaurants and things to do (invaluable), gave us us a lift to the coast, gave us some delicious local cheese to try, and were generally very generous and accommodating, while also not being too intrusive at all. 2. Public transport links are ideal. There's a bus a 30s walk from the flat that takes you straight to the airport, the capital and so many other attractions, there really isn't any need for taxis. 3. Ability to be self-sufficient, with local shops a minutes walk away and a nicely equipped kitchen you don't need to rely on eating out. I'm fully recommending this flat to anyone visiting Malta.

Joe is so kind, it was so easy to communicate with him, even before we nade the reservation. his pkace is clean and well equipped with everything we needed including great tea ;)We spentbthere one night and enjoyed the good airconditioning (not so common in Malta) and hot water 24/7. there is a nice balcony with a beatiful garden at the entrance to the apartment. a tip for check in: there is a number on the door and the number of the apartment infront. when you get to the place just look at the 2 numbers :)

I recommend this apartment for sure. It is great. You will have everything what you need, the room is big, has bathroom inside, its clean. The host helps if you need something.

Michela puts at the disposal of its guests its large, very spacious and very bright apartment. It has access to the kitchen which is convenient for breakfast. the welcome is warm and it can even if planning allows him to pick you up at the airport. I highly recommend . cathrine

Places ideally located in the "local" side of Malta close to all amenities (shops, bars and even a gym that provides daily rates or for 4days at a reasonable price) the best is located towards the middle of the island and is ideal for connecting different corners (I advise renting a car all the same for autonomy). Michela was able to make herself available for my arrival and despite my weak English explained to me the different conveniences of the apartment and shops. In addition she is reachable by WhatsApp in case of questions or doubts during the stay. This room with bathroom and toilet is suitable for a single person or a couple. Obviously we are in the city center there is necessarily a little noise due to the activity of it but nothing bad for someone who is used to live in the city. Beautiful apartments. Michela is very positive and welcoming, we were pleased with our stay. Very pleased with the separate shower in the room, near the transport stop, it is convenient to get to Valletta, the airport and the Blue Grotto. The apartment is clean, has everything you need. We stayed at Michele’s place for a week and we did enjoy our stay there. The place is located in quiet and safe village , with distance walk to bus stops. There are regular buses going to Valleta ( approx 35min by bus ) and Blue Grotto ( only 10 min away) . The convenience shop is also just round the corner. The room itself was big and bright , with attached private bathroom, which was great. Michela was very informative and helpful. She provided us with all information we need to know and was always easy to reach by WhatsApp. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Michelas room and would recommend it :)

Dario is an excellent communicator and takes great pride in providing his guests with a clean and comfortable place to stay. He thinks of every detail and is a very honest and caring person. He has put a lot of thought into the renovation of his 400-year-old house. The inside is very quiet and comfortable. It is very modern inside and yet has a charm. I knew from his detailed communications prior to arriving that it would be a wonderful experience and I found it to be even better than expected. Staying in this old city was the best decision because it was only 15 minutes to the airport by ecabs and a five minute ferry ride to Valletta from the nearby ferry stop. Walking around the old city was wonderful and there is also a war museum located close to Dario's home. There is also the best jewelry store for sterling silver jewelry that I saw anywhere in Malta or Sicily. It is on the street out the upper exit from the war museum. Since we had to leave at 4 AM for our flight he provided us with a complete breakfast for us to go, that was so thoughtful. His English is excellent and he was always available to give tips for what to do, where to eat or anything that we needed help with. I recommend Darios please to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay that is a bit off the beaten path yet easy to get everywhere.

We spent a weekend in this beautiful and characteristic house located in a quiet area, close to the ferry to Valletta. Dario and Dominika were really welcoming and kind, giving us advice on what to visit and always proving to be available to us. The room really exceeds all expectations, very clean and very pretty! Finally the breakfast is really abundant and full of every delicacy. I highly recommend staying in this house and living this experience!

It was just as it said on the listing. It was small but clean and exactly what we needed for a quick stay by the airport.

Had a good one night stay as I had a morning flight and would recommend as it's quite close to the airport. And if the weather is good you can relax at the terrace where it gets a lot of sun. My favourite part was the terrace :) Mattress is comfortable. Clean house. Bathroom door doesn't give much privacy, but it was ok in my case. Felt a bit cold at night as the heater in the bedroom seems to work but there aren't any doors to keep the heat inside the room. There's a little shop 5min walk from the house also which was open on a Sunday. Overall everything was fine and I would stay again Thank you :)

Be careful when going upstairs , we thought we were stucked outside, but Leo gave a quick response and helped us to get back in. it was quite an adventure !

Great choice if you need a place to stay near the airport. An X1 bus station is 5 minutes away. Another station for a bus that goes to Valleta is only 1 minute away. There is a pizza & grill place just outside the apartment. Host was kind enough to leave me a snack for my arrival.

Loved our stay here! The location is perfect, easily walk to main sights in 5 - 15 mins max. The building is so authentic and the roof area is a great benefit, we laid in the sun in December! Flat was spacious, very clean, comfortable with a good size couch and table. Bathroom modern and clean. Kitchen has all the cookware, plates etc needed. We were very happy to call this home for a week! :)

Very good located in the center of Malta, this a really nice place to stay for holidays ! We took advantage of the pool and the terace in september, which was very confortable after a day of visit ! Valetta is just 15min by car, and also Mdina, the South, ... Chris and Anabel were very reactive in communication before and during our trip

Gorgeous! Absolutely loved staying with Chris and Anabel. The photos certainly do not give the space justice. Location wise we couldn’t have hoped for more, 10 minute drive from the airport, 10 minute drive to blue grotto (which is amazing and a must do). Anabel and Chris were super friendly and informative. What a lovely place with incredible hosts! Even if it was shared, we felt at home all the time. We enjoy so much our floor and the swimming pool !! All the comfort was there (sofa/deck chair/tables/air-conditioning) and the decorations/vegetation were sublime. I definitely recommend this little paradise on Malta.

Marthese is very communicative and friendly. She is a very sweet person, we arrived late, and there is no supermarket open. But she already prepared the breakfast for us for the next day. We want to book another day, but this house is fully booked. The house is also close to famous sight seeing attractions: Blue Grotto and two temples. Highly recommend :)

Very nice appartement. The host left some food for us which was very nice. Cosmetic products were available for use. It was all in all a very nice experience.

Marthese's place is very stylish and she takes the time to personalize the stay for each of her guests. It is a bit far from attractions but the bus system works fine and is reliable in my opinion so it was not an issue

The owners were very friendly. The apartment very clean. There was a lot of cosmetic items and different food to eat - we enjoyed it. Probably all the more because we were able to wash and dry our laundry comfortably on a backpack. The location is very quiet. Price / performance great.

This is one of the best airbnb experiences so far. They're wonderful hosts, the space was much bigger than I expected. They left food out for us, so we we're taken care for for the first night and morning. Location is awesome... peaceful and quiet. It's a great hub to discover Malta, and the parking spot in front was a perfect place to leave our rental car. I really recommend staying here.

Derek's place was above our expectations. We were greeted at the exact time what we agreed on. Derek was quite flexible given the circumstances. The coffee capsules were a nice addition, given the fact that all cafés were closed :) If you're going by car, expect it to be hard to find a free spot, you might have to park a few hundred meters from the flat.

We have a perfect stay at Derek’s place. In Valletta everything can be reached by foot from the apartment.

Very nice studio-apartment in the heart of Valletta. All places of interest (musea, churches, gardens etc.) are located on walking distance from the apartment. In the surrounding area there are also a lot of very nice restaurants that serve local Maltese food. The apartment itself was very clean and equipped with everything you need. The view from the rooftop terrace is beautiful. Derek was a very kind and helpful host. Would definitely recommend :-)

Derek’s flat is perfectly located in Valletta and also tucked away in a quiet street. There is a great little restaurant at the bottom of the street. The view from the roof terrace is magnificent. It’s a great base for exploring. He is a host who goes out of his way to be helpful and even when my girlfriend forgot her wallet he was very gracious to post it back to us. Zurrieq may not be on every tourists itinerary, but it should be. Spend 2-3 days, walk to Blue Grotto, walk to Pretty Bay, go to Dingli cliffs. And it’s a 15 minute bus ride to the airport. And you should stay at Josette’s. Large house, large room, everything is wonderful. I was welcomed with water, melon & coffee. She & her husband are there to assist you. You will not be disappointed.

Very hospitable host. There was road closed due to a feast. So the bus didn't stop near the house. Someone I met helped me to find the pharmacy which is very near and on the same row of the house. Within walking distance to the village centre where I could take a bus to blue grotto (Once arrive at the last stop, need to buy boat ticket for a ride to Blue grotto). There are buses from the village centre bus stand that stop right in front of the airport but not number 71 or 73 although the bus stop for these two buses is nearer to Josette's house.

Like the personality, the interior is cute and remains the most impressive. They also sent me off by car and prepared meals. Thank you very much

It is a very clean place with a lot of space. A towel is provided and I even got a toast and a cup of tea just to relax after my trip. Definitely recommended!

Excellent hostel Pool, study room, shared rooms, two kitchens, large room, excellent internet, easy access and super central, you find everything within walking distance, from the super market, beach, shopping centers and parks.

I stayed at Theresa’s place for the first week here in Malta and it was amazing. The hospitality that Theresa showed was incredible and I felt welcomed right from the start. The help that I got during the stay was invaluable for me when coming to Malta for the first time in my life and I can recommend her as a host for all that want to stay in Malta. Especially for people that are looking to start a new life here. The apartment is situated near the airport and Theresa actually picked my up there when I arrived in Malta. Here you have an own room with good internet connection and an own terrace. You also have an own entrance to the apartment.

A great stay at Theresa's. His apartment is very spacious and quiet. She is a wonderful person who knows how to receive and care for those she welcomes. She is very attentive and takes time to share with others. In addition the room is well appointed, the bathroom very clean, I really enjoyed spending time at home even if it is not located in a very touristy place or well served by buses (only 2 or 3 buses ), I advise you to spend your entire stay if you are transported because really a place where it is good to live.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Theresa’s place! She gave me many very useful local tips. The location is well-connected with the rest of the island through frequent busses. Theresa is very hospitable and easy to get in touch with if anything comes up. I can definitely recommend this place, and would also certainly come back here on my next visit to Malta! :-)

What a pleasure staying at Simon' s appartment. A kind lift from the airport, kindly give tips about bus or taxi apps and the appartment is for sure really clean and new.

Simon's place is just amazing. it's a place you would like to stay for any kind of tripe in Malta: calm, clean, good connection with the rest of the city through public transportation and just some minutes from the airport. And if course Simon's hospitality will make your comfortable and confident as you might be at your own place. So I fully recommend his place.

Simon was a great host with a nice place to stay before the airport. He helped with anything I need and responding quickly to messages. The room was nice for one night as I just needed a place to sleep to go to the airport in the morning. He gave me a ride to the airport so I didn’t have to catch a taxi and even met my taxi driver to pick me up when coming to his place to help with directions.

I stayed at Simons while working at the airport. It is a handy 20 minute walk. Simons flat is really modern and stylish with everything you need. Simon is really friendly and a thoughtful man and will help in any way that he can. What more could you ask for?

Reuben is someone genuine, and adorable. He did not have time to see our reservation when we arrived, he did not expect to see us. He still welcomed us with open arms and it was a wonderful stay. Its accommodation is located 15-20min bus blue caves and not far from M-dina. He has a very nice dog, and otherwise you must not be crazy.

Ruben is a really nice host, helpful, talkative and interested in other cultures. We had a good time in Siggiewi.

Our last minute trip to Malta would have been a nightmare - as our first Airbnb was cancelled when we were at the airport - if Not by Ruben who accepted our last minute request . Great host, helpful and easy going. We were lost in the middle of the way and Ruben came to pick us up although it was late night. Great value during the Maltese summer when most accommodations are overpriced. I would strongly recommend anyone who comes to Malta to stay at Ruben’s place.

This house is everything you will need for a perfect stay. The location is ideally located with a bus stop just next to the house. John is very helpful in perfecting your trip with some tips. The cats are really cute and they are adding a special flair to the house. If you are planning to come you will have to have breakfast in John's wonderful garden on the roof at least once.

John is very nice person and provides very nice local accomodation. it is experience by itself! his rooftop is WONDERFUL. pls make sure u r cat lover, John has 2 cats 😍

My first visit to Malta was a complete success. There is so much to do and see in such a small area, it is hard to decide what to do. My first, and best decision was to stay at John’s place and base myself in Il- Hamrun. I received a warm welcome from John at the door and was delighted to find his home to be a stylish and comfortable place to stay. Tastefully decorated throughout, this traditional Maltese town house is clean, tidy and well run with plenty of shared spaces, including the fabulous rooftop garden; an oasis from where to plan your trips further afield. John is a genuinely kind and attentive host with great tips about the local and surrounding areas, a mine of information if you catch him when he’s not busy (you’re only allowed 10 questions a day - use them wisely!). My room was light and airy with a cozy comfy bed. The kitchen table was always set in the morning with a good choice of healthy breakfasts., teas and coffee. Try the yoghurt - it’s thick, not runny, you can have it with fruit but it’s best with honey. Hamrun is a busy vibrant place, central to the whole island with easy access via the brilliant public transport service. I could not have landed in a better spot. Thank you, John, a true gentleman.

John's house is a beautiful traditional Maltese house in a good location in Hamrun, close to Valletta. John is a great and kind host with two lovely cats, he is helpful and willing to suggest interesting places. I enjoyed staying at John's place very much and I recommend it to everyone.

The place is wonderful! The communication with the host is 24/7, the location is perfect for any destination. There are many local shops and a massive supermarket nearby (Lidl). You have everything what you need and if there are any problems you can always talk to Angelica! I really recommend it.

Highly recommended. Flat has everything new and was recently remodeled. Comfy bed. Hostess is always accessible and attentive. Definitively I'll return when visiting Malta again.

I stayed at Kristina's place for 40 days while working at the University of Malta (which is ~15-minute walk away). Kristina was a very thoughtful host, e.g. lending me an umbrella (which came in handy because of the sporadic rain) and offering to lend other amenities as needed. My room was a good size for a single-traveler, and I think I paid a good price for it. The location was nice, with a lot of restaurants nearby that were open late. Manoel Island is also a short walk away, and was fun to explore. Penny is a very friendly dog and would greet me at the door most nights, which was an unusual but much-appreciated plus. Captain is shy, but he too is a good dog. Overall, I thought this was a great place. Gżira can be a noisy neighborhood sometimes, so keep that in mind if you're a light sleeper (e.g. bring earplugs). The description of the place indicated that water pressure in the shower was low, and while that's true I never really felt it was much of a problem.

I spent 2 months with Kristina and I loved my stay ! She is a wonderful person and will put you at ease the instant you meet her. The location is also great as it is very central and there are plenty of amenities nearby.

Absolutely lovely place to stay! Made me feel extremely welcome and I felt very safe as a solo female traveller. Would definitely recommend to others. Nick’s mum was super kind and made me food and gave me chocolate when I arrived and I was very thankful! The dog was also super cute and friendly.

It was a really nice trip. I spent 3 months there. Nicholas and his family was super nice, the room is fine for one person. The only downside would have been to have air conditioning. But otherwise everything was perfect and I recommend it :)

I recommend this room to everyone, the landlords are very hospitable and nice. they always provided spare sheets every week and the room is autonomous (has private kitchen and fridge) I will definitely come back to see you. regards Francesco (Italy)

Well located place. The host was very friendly. Although there were no towels for shower, the host washed my towel and clothes at the end. I extremely recommend them.

Nice location, really nice location

Christine was a great host. From the beginning to the end, she was there to make our stay more comfortable and convenient. Communication was flawless. Accommodation: Great location close to the airport, just 5-10 minutes walk. It was the best decision to stay there due to our early flight. The room was specious and the bed was firm and comfortable. The accommodation was clean. There is a shared space where it is nice to "chill". The bathroom is also shared and it was clean. Christine: awesome host! We were able to make everything work and whatever question we had, Christine was open to help us. Thanks for having us!

We was here during our stay in Malta twice and we glad that we choosed Christine's place. It's close to the airport, you can find some food shops pretty close. You could like this place and Christine is aswell really nice person.

Nice and stylish place in the heart of Old Town.

The apartment was amazing and really stylish considering it is in Valletta and its combination or modern and antique style was a great touch...the staff at VBL were extremely helpful and quick to respond to my questions..checkin was really smooth and even check out...it is really close to the heart of Valletta, but it enjoys the quiteness in its area..Thank you for making our first time stay in Valletta a great one 😊

Very central location in beautiful old building. We had a leak in our apartment and the hosts immediately sent someone over and then moved us to another apartment in the same building. Excellent customer service.

Denis is a fabulous host, from a personal note in the room to local recommendations and tips! He also makes the best scrambled eggs for breakfasts! Lovely place to stay!
