National Park
“This national Park is a must see while here on Maui. It’s about an hour drive from our cottage a lot of people like to reserve a spot for viewing the sunrise. But I don’t find that totally necessary going there anytime of day is beautiful and you don’t have to make a reservation to go for the afternoon or sunset. You can hit up the lavender farm while you’re up there as well.”

Shopping Mall

“ The Shops at Wailea is an upscale mall located in the Wailea Resort. This luxurious, open air mall features some of the top names in the fashion industry, as well as local favorites. There are also art galleries and restaurants. Prada, Gucci, Tiffany & Co., Tori Richard and Honolulu Cookie Company are just a small sample of some of the fabulous stores located at the mall. Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar is the perfect place to grab a Mai Tai and just relax. Not only are there plenty of shopping opportunities, but The Shops at Wailea mall holds free events and activities, and offers live entertainment. Consult their website for the most current schedule.”

Aquarium
“The Maui Ocean Center has a number of exhibits that allow you to learn more about the sea life that you will see if you snorkel or scuba dive during your trip, in addition to other marine life you may not be so eager to bump into in the ocean. We recommend getting the behind the scenes tour to learn more about what the Center does to help restore and preserve the ocean habitats that sustain sea life. You also get to help feed the marine animals during the tour. ”

General Entertainment

“ One of the most exciting activities for families is a luau! Hands down, the best luau in all of Maui (and all of Hawaii for that matter) is the Old Lahaina Luau. The Old Lahaina Luau has received numerous awards, and is considered to be unrivaled by tourists and locals alike. The show`s fame and talent even put them in the Macy`s Day parade. This luau sells out very quickly! When you book your vacation, the next step should be to call and make a reservation for a night you will never forget. The Old Lahaina Luau has it all! Situated on gorgeous, lush tropical grounds next to the water in Lahaina, guests will enjoy views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai`, and, of breathtaking sunsets. Guests are greeting with fresh floral leis and island cocktails upon entering the luau. Before the entertainment begins, take a walk around the beautiful grounds; enjoy the Hawaii arts and crafts that are available for purchase. Be sure to stand near the imu as the Kalua Pig is dug up for the night`s main course! The Old Lahaina Luau features an open bar, award winning food, and, the best traditional luau you will ever see! If there is just one activity you take in during your vacation, this should be it!”

“Amazing Happy Hour Specials! If you like fish, you will love this restaurant. There is also a Fish Market in Kihei if you don't feel like driving to Paia. During Happy Hour, you can get a fish taco and a beer for around $6. The third location is in Lahaina.”

Beach
“While we love the close proximity to Charles Young beach, there are two other great beaches in walking distance from our unit. Of the three, we really enjoy Kam III for its soft sand and swimmer-friendly waters. It's also the largest of the Kihei beaches and is nearby lots of great shops and restaurants.”
