It is a renovated, room-only, private house surrounded by trees, located on a stone wall where rivers converge. There are no buildings in sight, and you can enjoy the sound of the river, the sound of birds, and a sense of unity with nature. The water is spring water (water quality has been inspected). Depending on the season, people come and go on the river next to the inn to play in the river and go to Kappa Falls. If the weather is good, you can play in the river, BBQ with the ingredients you bring, You can also enjoy a fire. (Please be careful when handling fire.) When it rains, you can enjoy the ingredients you brought over the charcoal fire in the Irori fireplace in the room, or cook while listening to the sound of the river, as we also provide cooking utensils, a range, and dishes. If you go up the promenade along the river, there is also "Kappa Falls" about 150 meters away. Please prepare food and beverages for dinner, etc. before check-in. This is a private rental property close to the hot spring town of Kikuchi. About 60 minutes by car from Kumamoto Station and about 30 minutes from Kumamoto Airport (Aso Kumamoto Airport). We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. While it is an 8-minute drive to Kumamoto Castle, it is a cottage where you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home.
