This is our 100+ year old shotgun bungalow located in the historic and vibrant Volker neighborhood. We called this home for better than 10 years. During that time, we completely renovated it, while keeping the historic charm. Two kids later..... we're now offering it to you. You get the place all to yourself. No noise annoyances above, or below. Just a nice, quiet, and peaceful home to call your own. The home has one bedroom with a Queen size bed, as well as a sleeper couch in the front room/library. A library of books and movies. A bicycle, helmet, and lock. Even a sewing machine. The Brick Barn Studio is a sweet and peaceful private space on the first floor of a late 19th century Carriage House. Guests enjoy private entry to their accommodation, mini kitchen, shower/bathroom, and laundry, king mattress on a unique built-in bench platform, and a convertible sofa for another guest or two. When my husband & I first saw this house, I knew it was the perfect place to escape to do my favorite thing - read. I designed it with that in mind. I could see myself reading in front of the wood-burning stove. Reading on the martini deck with coffee in hand. Reading in the afternoon light in the loft or outside on the deck. Located in the heart of Waldo, walking distance to restaurants, bakeries and bars. Brookside/Plaza are minutes away. I hope you love it as much as I do, I know you will.
