The name "yori-toko" is based on the owner's desire for this place to continue to be a warm place where people can gather, just as it was once a popular "place to gather". The villa also serves as a convenient base for day trips to places like Nagasaki City, Unzen, Ureshino, Sasebo, Hirado, and Huis Ten Bosch.
