“A great art museum and an even greater building. Mostly classical art, paintings and sculptures. I work here so had to mention it. :D”

“An ambitious contemporary art museum well worth checking out. The unfortunate abbreviation makes many think of sandwich topping made of pork's booty, but the only hunger you'll satisfy here is that for aesthetic revelation. Also admire the architecture of the so-called Tennis Palace housing the museum, as well a gigantic multiplex movie theatre. There was, however, never any tennis played here. Instead it was used as a basketball court in the 1952 Olympic Games. But that's another story. ”

“One of my favorite place in Helsinki. Not so much the museum, but he island in general. Easley accessible by public transport or even walking, this is highly recommendable. Go out for a romantic dinner after a nice walk in this lovely island. Also great for picnics. ”

“Helsinki history for all. Kids will love this as well. After the visit, THE MUST is the Market Place just behind the museum for enjoying a traditional Finnish meat-pie with a cup of coffee in the orange tent. If you are an early bird, then do this opposite way: first the Market Place and its coffee tent, the museum (opens at 11).”
