This grand residence, circa 1885, has been meticulously restored and updated. Features original hardwood floors, 9" high ceiling, detailed woodwork and much more.
This is a private suite, cozy and comfortable, with it's own terrace & patio doors - feels just like a boutique hotel but with a kitchen!
Historically, The Durand neighbourhood of Hamilton was the most prestigious area of the city. Although rapid development in the 1970's eliminated many Grand Mansions, some did survive and have been converted to multi units. This house was built in 1885 in an area known at the time as Knob Hill. Stroll south past Aberdeen Avenue to see some of Canada's most spectacular grand homes.

  • Very homey place!! This place is absolutely perfect for a solo traveler (like I was) and I felt very comfortable here! Very nice touches like the fireplace, bookshelf, and TV where you can watch Netflix + other streaming services. The only thing I would mention is it is a shared apartment building, so people will be walking outside the door in the morning, although this was no problem for me. It probably only lasted a few minutes. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Loved my stay!

    This living space is very bright (surrounded by windows) and offers the traveller a location which is 45 minutes to Pearson Airport in Toronto & is within 1/2 hour to Hamilton, Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener Waterloo and Milton. The living room area has a pull out couch ( converts to a single bed), kitchenette with fridge, countertop stove, microwave, toaster oven, large table with 3 chairs, TV with satellite TV access. The bedroom is compact & features a Queen bed & chest of drawers. The bathroom is 3 piece with a toilet, sink and shower. These areas are private for the traveller/guest. The deck area with BBQ and the courtyard area with the hottub (open and available all year round) are private to you during your stay. The pool is a fenced area, accessible to you and is shared with the owner, occasionally, in the summer months. Beyond the deck is a large grassy backyard with a soccer wall. There are a variety of spots to relax: deck-under the canopy or in full sun, courtyard, patio around the pool. There is parking for your car(s) and/or motorcycle(s) in the parking lane between the road and the sidewalk (not in the driveway). The birds, squirrels and chipmunks that frequent the property will amuse you. A lovely rural residential feel, in the Village of Morriston, Township of Puslinch, County of Wellington.
    Morriston is a great family oriented rural subdivision located 10 minutes south of Guelph Ontario, 20 minutes north of Hamilton Ontario and 45 minutes to Pearson international Airport in Toronto. There is a baseball diamond which the local amateur teams use, two parks, rolling fields (for cross country skiing), a local family restaurant known as "A Change of Pace", open daily until 3 pm and an excellent Chinese food restaurant known as "The Great Wall", open every day except Tuesday's. Just north of Morriston is Aberfoyle (about 5 minutes north) which has a wine bar and fine dining restaurant "The Aberfoyle Mill". Between Morriston and Aberfoyle you will find 3 convenience stores and 3 fast food restaurants: A &W Restaurant, Pizza Pizza, and Subway Sandwiches. Pizza delivery from GUELPH is through Twice The Deal Pizza which delivers to The Airbnb. If you prefer to take public transportation to Toronto, Hamilton or Kitchener Waterloo, the Go Bus Station is located in Aberfoyle. Ian can give someone great instructions on the use of public transit here-he is the expert!

    My home was built in 1915. Lots of charm and warmth. Enjoy the quite of the private backyard and hot tub or sit on the front pourch and watch life pass by. Lots happening in the downtown core of Hamilton. Gage park is a 1 km walk. If you enjoy walking in nature, or are a fitness enthusiast try climbing the Steeltown mountain stairs 1,875 of them! Hamilton has lots of green space to enjoy and explore. If you like more action I am located within the downtown core. There is Hess Street, Locke and Ottawa Street, antique stores, pubs and restaurants.
    I am locate on a small dead end street. It is an older neighborhood with mature trees and lots of nature. Great for a peaceful walk or at the end of street you can rent a bike and go exploring. Its a small home but very calm and cozy place to lay your head....

    Durand contains some of the finest examples of residential architecture in Hamilton. It is bounded by Queen Street to the west, Main Street to the north, James Street South to the east and the Niagara Escarpment the South. "The Durand neighbourhood began in 1791 as 274 acres owned by a few wealthy speculators, including George Hamilton who founded the city. Interestingly, James Durand, for whom the neighbourhood is named never actually owned any of this property. (Peace, 1996) From the 1840s to the mid 1870s the population of the Durand exploded from just a few buildings to being over fifty percent developed by the mid 1870s and fully developed by the end of the 19th century. (Peace, 1996; Peace, 2012) Of course, during this time the use of the land moved out of the hands of only wealthy speculators and the trend of Durand being a very economically diverse area began. This continues today as you walk from Main Street West toward the base of the escarpment, the single family homes grow exponentially in size, as do the pocket books of their owners. Hamilton is also conveniently located between Niagara Falls and Toronto so my apartment is an excellent base for exploring Southern Ontario.
    My apartment is the upper unit in a two-family home. It's a bright, clean space with charming beamed ceilings accommodating up to 4 people. There are 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. There is a spot in the driveway for 1 vehicle and free street parking is available just around the corner, steps away from my apartment for any additional vehicles. Please be aware there are approx. 20 stairs that lead to my apartment.

    This new 1 bedroom unit is exactly what you need to enjoy this wonderful city without having to get in your car. The living room has two futons so that you can bring extra guests with you as well. The kitchen has all your essentials to cook yourself breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Along with complimentary K-Cups to enjoy your morning coffee. As well with access to my Netflix account to watch your favourite shows and movies.
    With Hamilton having the most waterfalls and trails compared to any surrounding city put your hiking boots on and enjoy the fresh air and everything this city has to offer. If you are coming on business terms or for a special event the Convention Centre and First Ontario Place are a quick 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive away.

    Best possible location in Hamilton. Has a walking score of 95 making it 'Walkers Paradise' with everything you could possibly need within walking distance. Some of the places that are close by; FirstOntario Centre, Jackson Square Mall (Nations grocery), Locke St. (restaurants and boutiques), Hess Village (nightlife), James St. North (restaurants), around the corner from GO station and HSR terminal, several parks and gyms in the area. Also just a short drive from both McMaster and Mohawk Schools.
    The private room is located at the back of a 3 bedroom apartment. Guests can access the room via the private back entrance but have full access to the front entrance as well. I live in the front room with my girlfriend Michelle. And there are sometimes other guests in the room beside mine.
    Despite being located downtown, the neighbourhood has a welcoming residential feel. Walking distance to restaurants, nightlife and transportation.

Voices from the next unit carry well, but they were quiet by the time I was going to sleep (and I'm sure Isaac would have dealt with it if I'd asked). Overall a great stay. Our place is well suited for students, couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers, includes Wifi.     The bedroom is a well sized room in the second floor with a Double bed, a closet with hangers, a desk with a small chair and additional furniture. Also includes Wifi, clean and soft sheets, bed covers, additional pillows, 1 white large fresh towel and 1 white fresh face towel. If you need it, you can use the iron and iron table (shared). Also if you stay at least 5 days then you can also use the laundry room (bring your own laundry soap please).

  • I lived in the house from October 10 to 24. The apartment is located on the 1st floor of a house, which is located in a quiet location, nearby are bus stops, shops and a park. The apartment is very clean and comfortable with all the things necessary for life, the kitchen has all the necessary accessories for cooking, the bathroom also has towels and care products, the room has a TV and Apple TV. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. I will be happy to come to this house again!

They were thoughtful, easygoing, charming and even helped me find something to do during my stay in Hamilton. The place was impeccable with a very comfortable mattress and solid bedding.   • If you’re coming to Hamilton, look no further for a great spot with a great price. I’ve stayed at Tutsirai’s place before and it’s always a pleasurable experience. First of all, the place is super clean! She’s very quick with communication, providing you with tips and locations to visit when you’re in the town. Even though her Airbnb is located close to a Main Street, it’s very quiet at night. Love the big tv as well! The kitchen has everything you need to cook a quick or gourmet meal (my favourite is Steak with a side of veggies - check out 50 Point Butcher for amazing cuts). Even the pans she provides for you are great stainless steel pans! Love it here and will always choose this spot when I’m in Hamilton!

The room has a closet with a few hangers that you may use at any time. This room has a locked key door, you will receive this key on arrival, this will ensure maximum privacy. There is carpet throughout the room which is cleaned daily. We have a large kitchen and dining area for our guests to use. Our kitchen is equipped with refrigerator/freezer combo, a small conventional oven, a toaster, a microwave and a kettle to warm up water for tea/coffee. Our kitchens also are equipped with plates, cup, glasses, bowls, spoons, forks. Other dishes and utensils can be provided at request. Some of the common areas include a dining area. This is where you may visit with your guests and host company. The dining room has a table that can seat up to 4 people at a time. Please note we do not provide snacks or meals, we also DO NOT have a stove as this poses a significant risk of fires. Please remember common areas are under video surveillance to help us serve our guests better. Your room has full air conditioning / heating - be hot, be cool (most likely one at a time). Also to make your stay with us more comfortable we can provide you a fan or a heater, just give us a little ring and we will make it happen. We have laundry available on site, which can be used from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM and anytime during the weekends if your length of stay is 3 or more days. If you have a car you would need to park on a nearby street. It would be 2 minute walk to the house. The city allows up to 12 hour parking on the street.     Our cool and comfortable private room has a wash room access besides the room conveniently. Room is located in the second floor. Guest can use unlimited free WiFi internet. I have a home office setup with very comfortable computer desk with executive chair. I have a wall mounted smart TV with Netflix access and local HD channels. Guest can watch the tv comfortably from bed. The room fully furnished with big computer desk and coffee machine with compliment variety different coffees and teas.
    This is room is located in second floor so that it's fully private with convenient wash room access. Shared kitchen in the main floor could be accessible as well. If you need more space. We have a fully furnished basement with furniture and TV. It could be used as a relaxing space.

  • They were very quick to accommodate me on an out of town work trip. It was as described and pretty much what you would expect when renting a room. Was a bit noisy with children running around in the evening but it was quiet enough around bed time where I had managed to get a great night of sleep out in the Hammer. Best part was being able to have a cup of Keurig in the morning straight from the room. Their internet connection was also super fast, perfect for the evening streams before bed. I also had forgotten something in the fridge but they were kind enough to give me a chance to get it back later in the day. All in all, a great stay for the value~ Another smooth AirBnB experience to add to the books :)

    Welcome to Jenn’s Place, a newly renovated 500 square foot basement apartment located in the charming town Ancaster, Ontario. Our home is close to a major highway (403), shops and restaurants. Just 10 minutes from the Hamilton Airport, this modern space is bright and cheery, decorated in neutral greys and whites. A fully equipped kitchen will allow you to cook your own meals. A light breakfast will be waiting for you the morning after you arrive.
    This lovely 1 bedroom apartment is fully equipped to meet all your needs whether you are here for one night or a week or more. A private entrance on the back of the house allows you to come and go as you please. This door has a key pad for easy access. The door to the basement apartment is equipped with a key so you can lock up your space for a worry free stay. Wifi is unlimited and an access code will be provided. The kitchen is equipped with the basics (dishes, cutlery, frying pan, salt and pepper, sugar, and coffee/tea). A kuerig, coffee maker and kettle are located in the lower cupboard. The bathroom has shampoo and soap, a hairdryer and other toiletries. The living space has comfortable love-seats, a breakfast bar and a desk. The bedroom has a very comfy bed, lots of pillows, a dresser and wardrobe to hang your clothes. The outside space of apartment is still under light construction but the apartment is 100% complete.
    The town of Ancaster is quaint and quiet. Downtown is just a few minutes away (25 min walk) with a library, some quaint shops and restaurants. A drug store is close by as are grocery stores, the wine shop and beer store. Located just 10 min from the Hamilton airport and 45 min from Toronto airport, we are close to the 403 for easy access to Hamilton and other tourist hotspots. Take the Linc to the QEW and you will get to Niagara Falls and the USA border in just under an hour. The area is close to many waterfalls that the Niagara Escarpment is known for. The Hamilton Golf and Country Club is just 5 minutes away.

  • We spent one night at Trish’s place for my husband’s birthday just to get away from hustle and bustle of the big city and we absolutely loved it there! Such a cute and cozy place! Trish’s house is very spacious, clean and well maintained. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, same goes for the bathroom. The highlight for us was definitely the outdoor hot tub. The water was hot and clean and we really enjoyed drinking champagne in the hot tub and appreciating the beautiful nature around us. The area around the house is very peaceful and it truly gives you a feeling of serenity. Trish and her husband have a small farm and you can enjoy watching their horse and pony roaming around, plus they have 2 super friendly dogs. Very charming small farm feel. Overall we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend Trish’s place if you just want to get away from it all and enjoy some romantic and peaceful time :)

  • It was indeed quite a pleasant stay, our initial agreement was for two months period but we had to leave after the first month due to urgent situations. The owner was quite friendly and thoroughly understood our situation and changed our stay plan to one month instead of two after a few minutes from my phone call. We didn’t expect him to do that since he didn’t have to and secondly because that might cause him a loss Needless to say that whenever we needed him for anything he was quite responsive and always helping, he even got us a gift for our new born! You'll find good sized, and some flowering trees, larger properties and close proximity to parks - such as Bronte Harbour, boasting a marina, waterfront seating and walkways with shops, great restaurants and an Italian ice cream shop across from it. Tuesday evening in the summer, there are concerts in the bandshell at the park near the water as well. Our home is also close enough to shopping etc. to be convenient but in an area which is an escape from the hustle and bustle of a big city! We will give you some recommendations for restaurants and take out if you wish!

  • I had a wonderful time staying at Glenna' s place. Glenna is very kind and hospitable. She made sure that I had everything I needed to feel comfortable in her home (refreshments, supplies, privacy, etc.) The room was exactly as advertised. It has a spacious bathroom and closet. There is also tv/rec room in the basement for guests to use. It's very comfortable there. Thank you Glenna! I will be back soon:)

  • Not the first time staying at this great place and once again, very much impressed!!! Don and Glenna give you a feeling of staying in high end bed and breakfast place with beautiful bedroom, comfortable huge Victorian style bed and lots of space... Great private bathroom, huge den with big screen TV, morning breakfast.., nice conversations and kind, beautiful hosts... Will come back again... Спасибо!
