Fabulous home, fully equipped, very private, exacting what a family needs for a perfect weekend, we played all day and came home to a comfortable home, hot tub and a bbq ready to go !! We were quite happy, A+ !!

Our family stayed at the Log Cabin while visiting our oldest son at New England Music Camp. The cabin was further away from camp than we thought, but was absolutely worth the extra drive. Everything was sparkling clean - and the cabin is adorable, comfortable, and spacious. We cooked several meals during our stay and appreciated the gas grill and the extra propane tank. We brought kayaks and loved David Pond just up the road. We hope to make the Log Cabin our home away from home next time we are in Maine!

The spaced was as advertised. Clean, comfortable, very inviting. Kathie provided detailed instructions about the property, things to do and see in the area. It was easy to reach her with questions. I highly recommend this space.

We had a very nice Columbus Day weekend at Sky's place. The home is spacious and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. We used the canoe and kayaks for exploring the pond and the bass fishing was outstanding! The fire pit was perfect for cooking those Maine red hot dogs and relaxing with a few drinks at night. Sky was very responsive and I would definitely return.

Hosts are SO thoughtful and really set up some perfect baby items for us knowing we would bring in a baby. Really nice to have w & d and all the kitchen ammenities you need! We would definitely stay here again.

We had such a great long weekend here! The house was bigger than expected and very clean and comfortable. We love to cook and Sky's place is perfect for preparing family meals in the kitchen or on the propane grill. The waterfront is sandy and stays shallow for quite a distance, perfect for young kids, and the kayaks and canoe are in great shape as well. Location was just what we were looking for: off the beaten path but still a quick drive to the supermarket. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was clean and exactly as pictured. The area is peaceful, quite remote and everything is at least 30 minutes away but if you are looking for a place to relax, this is the place for you. (no cell service but the house has WiFi). Thank you!

This was a beautiful place to visit . The home was much more spacious then we though it would be . The pictures do not give it justice. It had a great yard for kids too. We unfortunately had a little more rain then I would have liked but had a wonderful stay still. There is a market about 10/15 minutes away with almost anything you need if you forget it or need it. Everyone that worked there was very nice and friendly. We went canoeing and kayaking these were things included with the home . We also had a fire one night . The water is shallow by the house so you can’t jump off . I would recommend getting a dock further out to swim to like many of the other house had . Just because we have small children and they want to jump off and it would have kept them more occupied . Also, not going to lie I would have enjoyed it . We did bring tubes so I would recommend doing that to float around. We were able to float around and swim and the water was beautiful . Our kids also fished didn’t catch anything to big but it was perfect. Is would recommend it and I would stay there again I would even purchase a place there. Thank you for a wonderful vacation !

We enjoyed the peaceful location of the house. David Pond was beautiful and quiet. We loved kayaking around the pond which was larger than expected. We saw that you needed life jackets to kayak but couldn’t find adult sized ones. We enjoyed sitting on the screen porch in the morning drinking coffee and tea. In the evening we had a fire in the pit and roasted marshmallows. We could not find the wood pile under the trap so we ended up buying wood. We did swim in the lake and it was nice, except for the drop off after the rocks. That was unexpected and our nephew went to grab his football and slipped off the rocks and needed help getting to the shallow area.

Sky’s place is a hidden gem! A vacation on David Pond was exactly what the doctor ordered. Only about an hour and 15 min from Portland, this was such a quiet respite from everyday hustle and bustle. Nothing beats having a coffee by the pond in the morning and bird watching. The area in general (Fayette) is so secluded. The two kayaks were great to have as well and we explored the rest of the pond (it’s quite big!). Swimming was so easy, there’s no muck when you walk in (mostly sandy) and warm as ever. Sky’s house is adorable with all the amenities you need and cute decor touches to boot! The screened in porch was a lovely way to eat breakfast and end our day by all getting together and having dinner. I would definitely stay here again and recommend Sky’s place to others! I can’t rave about it more - we had such a peaceful and relaxing time here. Do yourself a favor and take a relaxing vacation at Sky’s place on beautiful David Pond.

Janes apartment was much more spacious than I expected. It was an amazing value for a weekend getaway or an easy drive into Augusta. The temp was set at 68 and it’s perfect for us, we prefer a cooler sleeping temperature. Everything you need for preparing a quick meal and there were English muffins for us and half and half for our coffee. My only negative is that the train came thru at 3:30 am and it blows its horn a couple of times. Get up and Pee....If you have no problem getting back to sleep - this is a great place to stay! Our bed was very comfy with plenty of blankets -on the firm side. Jane made sure to meet us before departing in the morning. I appreciated the maple syrup bottle and the beautiful daffodils that greeted us on arrival.

Andrea was great with communication. He made sure I reach his place without any hiccups.

Andrea has great attention to detail and goes out of the way to make sure that you have everything you need. The amount of amenities provided coupled with the low cost create substantial value. I will go out of my way to stay here again if available in the future.

Wonderful place

Room E is cozy, but has everything you need for an easy overnight. TV, Desk, Comfortable armchair and bed, you feel like you're getting a lot out of this private space than just a bed. Also, Andrea left thoughtful touches like a chocolate by the bed and a glass of wine for me.

I’m not sure words do justice to how nice this location is. I selected it due to its perfect location (the perfect spot for the night before Acadia), and its amazing price. When arriving, I was relieved at the ease of check in and condition of the house, absolutely immaculate. The room had every single thing we needed and more, including bathrobes! The bed was comfortable and the view from the porch was incredible. We are already planning our way back north again, however plan on staying in Hallowell for the entire stay for we never even got to try out kayaking and bike riding in the area, or to explore all of the small shops that it has to offer! Thank you so much for everything, we will be back soon!

Andrea's place is lovely! I stayed there as a quick layover on a trip en route to Canada, and it was just what I needed. I'd love to return in the future for a longer stay. Andrea's kindness and hospitality are noteworthy!

My bed was so comfortable! I arrived late and left early, so I didn’t actually get to meet Andrea. But I felt so welcomed by the extra touches that went above and beyond what I expected...the water filter, coffee, chocolate and so much more! Thanks again Andrea!

Andrea’s place is TOP NOTCH!! Beautiful home, great location, amazing amenities. Cleanliness is a big deal for me so I was a little worried but from the moment I walked through the door I had to take off my shoes (just like home!) my room was spotless and Andrea was cleaning the common areas ALL the time. She was super friendly, full of recommendations but also was very respectful of personal space and my need for alone time. I could write an entire page of how lovely this home and Andrea were, I definitely will be returning!!

Super clean, great place to stay!

This home is beautiful! It was very clean and homey, and we loved the special little touches around the house. We had a wonderful winter getaway experience. It looks like this would be a great warm weather stay, as well! We hope to be back sometime!

My husband and I stayed at Karla's place for a weekend and really enjoyed it. The kitchen is well equipped, the house is huge, and it is in a good location to explore some nice forests and state parks. Be sure to bring your own firewood if you want to have a fire.

Couldn’t believe the amount of amenities! From full sets of pots and pans, dishes, Bluetooth speakers throughout the home, and tons of linens. The place is decorated perfectly, very home-y! Literally only needed to bring clothes and food, everything else was there! Great place!

This place is an amazing find. If you’re looking for a quiet and cozy getaway this is the place for you. The house itself is beautiful with plenty of space to relax and have fun. This cabin is a must! The location was perfect when we stayed in the summer — pond access with 4 kayaks, tube, life vests etc. The pond is Big & beautiful! The cabin is spacious, spotless, and wonderfully appointed! You will love staying here, especially if you have a big family. We recently stayed after Christmas and the house was decorated with lights, tree, and sweet holiday decor. We felt right at home. House heated immediately and we bought wood for fireplace. Winter activities are limited around cabin area, but the house is so cozy to cook & relax in. Karla is very responsive and has left us thoughtful treats. Book this cabin! Any month! Although I love the kayaking so warm months are my favorite.

Elizabeth’s place was a great if you’re looking to stay at a place that’s between camping and glamping. When walking in, the radio was playing and the musical instruments were a very nice touch! The bed that’s up on the loft is comfortable, and I slept well. I didn’t use the appliance though. Elizabeth was really friendly and even offered fresh peaches. Thanks!

This is a great place if you need a good night's sleep on a tight travel budget. There is a clean bed or a sofa to sleep on. Sheets and blankets are provided. The host is very friendly. The rooster will wake you in the morning if you forgot your alarm clock!

Beautiful camp on a pristine lake. We enjoyed the dock and fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped.

Beautiful location. Our entire family had a wonderful time kayaking and fishing on the lake and hiking nearby trails. Lovely clean house and host David couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

This was our second stay at David's Lake house and just like the first time it was amazing. We had a very relaxing weekend hiking and just sitting by the fire, playing board games, and enjoying the company of family and friends. We were lucky to have had a full moon during our stay which was just spectacular rising over the lake. We hope to return again soon!

This cabin is incredibly charming and David was as welcoming and hospitable as could be. We found the place to be even nicer than the photos, and the location couldn’t have been any better. We highly recommend this place for a comfortable and relaxing weekend. We’ll definitely be back.

Great place, great views, great location

Everything about this listing looked and sounded amazing but I still wasn’t prepared for how beautiful it truly is in person. It greatly exceeded my expectations. This was my first Airbnb experience and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. The location is very private, peaceful, and expansive, with something for everyone. My family spent most of our time on the dock and the screened in porch, and when it rained we enjoyed the fireplace indoors. The house was bigger than I expected, while also being incredibly cozy. The beds were comfortable, the chairs perfect for curling up with a book, and we loved having different seating options for our meals together—on the porch when the weather was nice and inside next to the large picture window when it was chilly outside. My favorite part was keeping all of the windows open for the duration of our stay, waking up to birds chirping and rain falling through the trees. It was my paradise. David was quick to respond to my many questions and was incredibly accommodating. I can’t thank him enough for opening his family home to strangers so that we could have this amazing experience. I hope to return soon.

Wonderful Maine retreat. Screened in porch is fabulous, swimming off the new dock is great, and rooms are spacious. Kayaks were a nice amenity! David is a great guy, and was happy to assist us with any requests. Very responsive both prior to our stay and during. We will be back!

David is truly a SUPER host! He made my birthday trip extra special. His cabin is so cute and was exactly what we needed! The view is incredible, and it is just far enough from the hustle and bustle of big roads and stores. David was super accessible, he was super helpful anytime we asked. It was so nice to have a fully stocked kitchen, and there were no unnecessary toxic products or artificial smells. We went out on his kayaks; a highlight of the trip! We will definitely be back again, next time for more than just two nights.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at David’s cabin for our anniversary. Everything was as described. We loved how he maintained the originality of the cabin with modern updates. Great kitchen and bathroom. The view from the cabin was amazing, and it was very private. No neighbors to the right, and Davids other cabin to the left (barely visible) but all you could see from the dock was the water and trees. We spent most of our time outdoors- taking walks along the beautiful woods (we saw a few deer 🦌 at night), coffee on the dock, fishing, fire pits and stargazing at night. The screened in porch was awesome- you had a view of the lake from every angle. Fires on the wood stove on the white area rug were amazing at night. David was an awesome host- very attentive and great communication. Overall peaceful, secluded long weekend getaway—looking forward to staying again! PS: He recommended a local farm down the street called Elvins—very fresh veggies (cash only)

David’s cottage was absolutely lovely. He was very accommodating and his cottage was pristine. It was an amazing weekend of reading books, eating comfort food, and drinking delicious beverages.

Amazing stay in the woods

If you’re looking to book a perfect lake house, this is it. The location can’t be beat, the home is stylish and comfortable, and David is an excellent host. Above and beyond one of my best experiences using AirBnB after years on the platform. You’re going to leave wishing you lived in it full-time. Side bonus from a couple who loves cooking: the kitchen is great to cook in, with great pots, pans, and utensils, so you won’t find yourself running out to eat. This is a huge benefit since you’re not going to want to leave. Buy some groceries and stay in and enjoy the cabin and the lake- you’ll be happy you did.

A perfect cabin on a lake. It could not be better. The lake is beautiful. The cabin is comfortable and exceptionally well appointed. Lots of fun places to visit in the area. The best is just hanging out at the camp, paddling and swimming on the lake and just enjoying a Maine summer outside. Heaven!

Charming home, cozy room with wonderful heater. Very close to coastal hotspots and easy access to I 95 . Sylvia is arguably the most charming host and makes a breakfast that is worthy of visiting for its own sake. Strongly recommend.

This is a remarkable airbnb-- outstanding for its service, especially for the economical price. It is a small room in a small house, so you need to be comfortable with the comings and goings of the small family and the two big friendly dogs...or if you wish to spend a lot of alone time in your cozy room with heater, Sylvia will respect that as well. The really outstanding part of it is your hostess sylvia, who is more sensitive and attentive to the needs of her guests than practically any airbnb hostess I've seen. She is a native French canadian, speaks fluent french and italian and english,

Sylvia is a very nice host. We had some funny talks and shared our travelling experiences. The room is spacious and homey. The heater is pretty strong and hot. The only thing is the address that means you need to focus on the road and carefully see the intersection. Very easy to drive over the place. Anyway, five stars. Highly recommend！

Such an amazing tiny home to experience a few nights in. Lon and his team are great hosts who communicate fast. The drive into the area was magical as the first snow had just fallen- out of a novel. The walk up to the home is not bad at all, feels like a tiny adventure hike. Really enjoyed the small touches such as board games and an “emergency” draw in case you forgot toothpaste, face wipes, etc. Very sweet space and glad it is also dog friendly! Our German Shepherd enjoined searching around the surrounding woods. Thank you!

What an incredible experience! We loved every moment at Lon’s tiny house. We were looking to get away from the city and slow down for the weekend. This was the perfect place! We played board games, walked the woods (along the clearly marked Loop Trail on the property), took out the paddle boat, and worked on a puzzle. We brought our own meals so we could stay in and relax. The cook stove works great. And spices, pots, pans, and utensils were all ready for us to use. Washing dishes was like camping, if you’re used to that, it’s no biggie at all. November nights are getting colder, but the propane heater worked great! The heat definitely rises to the sleeping loft. It was so warm we ended up turning the heater off/low at night. The mattress is comfortable! We brought our own sheets, pillows, and an extra comforter so we felt right at home (though pillows and a comforter were provided). The outhouse is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen (hahaha, but really!) and not a big deal. It’s a composting toilet with very clear directions. It is super clean and a short walk from the tiny house. A bit cold at night, but part of the charm! Every little detail was perfect in the tiny house. Beautiful esthetically and also thoughtfully practical. All drawers were clearly labeled and thoughtfully stocked. We even built a small campfire and made s’mores. Such a highlight for us!!

Great place to stay!

We can’t say enough great things about Wendy’s place- from the beautiful views of the lake to the quiet and peaceful surroundings, you won’t be sorry if you decide to stay here! We have never been so relaxed and enjoyed our escape from the city sitting on the deck with our morning coffee, dipping our feet in the lake and grilling dinner and eating outside on the patio. The fresh baked scones on the first morning there were an added bonus- Wendy is very responsive to all of your needs and her home is sparkling clean. Hope to stay again next summer!

We were looking for a relaxing, quiet place to spend the week with our toddler, and that is exactly what we got. We loved the private beach, kayaks, grill, porch, deck, and the quick walk to a playground and local brewery. Winthrop isn’t a really touristy place, but that’s what we liked!

Wendy was an incredible host, her home offers great waterfront views and fun! Wendy made us feel at home and provided us with delicious strawberry scones in the morning! We would definitely stay here again!

Wendy's home is absolutely beautiful! It has a lovely, bright, cheerful vibe with not only direct access to a pristine lake, but views from every window. We love how the space is decorated, from the sunny yellow four poster bed to the breakfast nook to the airy, bright furnished sun room. And, the delicious, hot, homemade blueberry lemon scones were such a welcome treat. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Wendy's house is magnificent. It is right on the beach of a beautiful lake; within steps of the front door of the apartment. It is only a few minutes from the charming town of Winthrop. Wendy has furnished this beautiful apartment with great care and taste, even to the Ralph Lauren pillows. It is quiet and restful, yet has all of the accutrements one would expect being on the lake. Book this fabulous home early, as I am sure it goes very rapidly each season. Oh, yes, and the blueberry scones she leaves at your door the first morning are without equal ANYWHERE in the world!

A very quite and peaceful place to stay, hearing rain drops hit the roof, acorns falling and watching the turkeys. The perfect get away. The owner is very nice and helpful, she recommended many places to eat.

The hummingbird hut and land surrounded by it were even better than expected! The area is beautiful and the perfect getaway to unplug. We will definitely be coming back again!

The hummingbird hut is a perfect escape for solo travelers or couples. The hut is cozy, peaceful, and secluded. The property is stunning, the views and amenities can’t be beat for the value. Mary was a great host, very kind and communicative. I would most definitely stay here again!

This little cottage was better than advertised. It’s a comfy alternative to camping, and is in the context of a larger camp. It was incredibly peaceful and private. Don’t miss the lake!

Perfect hidden cozy place to get away from the nouse

We loved every moment of our stay! I don't think I have ever been more relaxed. You'll be surrounded by trees and water and wont see a soul while you're there. The nightly train, the acorns dropping, the call of the loons, the hissing & popping of the wood stove and fire pit are some of the coziest sounds ever. The propane camp stove worked like a champ. We brought it outside on the deck railing for some outdoor cooking. The water access is very private so we ended up skinny dipping. We did yoga on the deck, bush whacked through the woods, explored the train tracks and just breathed in the clean open air. We drove a Chevy Volt and were just fine on the road. We went 5mph and carefully maneuvered the car over the roots. This is a tranquil spot to relax and expand into nature if that is your cup of tea. It was definitely ours.

This was my second visit to John's cabin and it was even better than what I remembered from my first! I arrived a bit later than anticipated and ran out of sunlight before finding the road in, John was super quick to respond to ensure all was well when I reached out to him. The driving trail had a few sticky spots and ground clearance would have been helpful, but I just took it easy in my car and didn't have any issues. Everything is exactly as listed and described (minus the gas grill in the pics— bring charcoal!) so there shouldn't be any surprises. I would agree with the suggestion of bringing whatever you think you'll want and need as if on a camping trip and you should be golden. Pro Tip: A strand of battery-powered LED lights adds a lovely ambiance when it gets dark. Or just let the stars do the work! :) I find John's place to be a great balance of quiet and secluded while still having the convenience of anything you may need within a close driving distance if necessary. I would highly recommend it if you're looking to comfortably step back from civilization for a bit and spend some time in nature.

UNBELIEVABLE stay at this beautiful cabin. My boyfriend and I got a nice little getaway to unwind and relax. He was skeptical with the no electric or actual bathroom but that ended up being our favorite part. You're really forced to switch up your daily routine. The road to the cabin comes up quick so you really need to keep your eyes open but when you find it you’ll know. Will 100% be back. Enjoy your stay!

Great place! I’m not sure how people could find anything to complain about. If you’re careful driving down the dirt road, you’ll arrive at an awesome little cabin overlooking the water. Great fire pit and deck to relax on. 5 stars!

Cant beat this place.. sparkling clean, much privacy, and the price is un heard of for your own place with air conditioning and 2 tvs! Gary is a perfect gentleman and very helpful towards his guests. I actually booked his place the day of arrival and showed up un expected, Gary dropped everything he was doing to get the place ready and make sure he could accomodate me my wife and the dog. A+ rating deffintely reccomend the place, also perfect for dogs

It was so comfortable for the two of us. Had its cute oddities that made it interesting and enjoyable. The Hosts were amazing and did not seem to be bothered when we bothered them. Had information for the area and offered info as they found out our interests. The internet service was very good and not slow. Very clean. Had all the utensils needed for cooking on the stove or out on the grill. I would definitely go back.

The house was great - right on the lake, comfy beds, nice amount of space and kitchen. The huge window looking at the lake was perfect for breakfast. The neighbors were also friendly. The host was very communicative and made checking in/out and the stay in general very easy.

This was a lovely place. Becky is a very responsive host, and the accommodations were as described -- a little better than I expected, actually. The place is simple, but was very clean and Becky provided a bunch of small touches, like some provided food items, that made us feel very welcome. The spot is quite nice as well. Beautiful lake, nice to have boats provided, lots of loons and other wildlife to view. All in all we had a very nice stay.

We stayed at Becky’s place and it was great! Plenty of space for 4 people, was very clean, right on the water with lots of local recommendations. We had sandwiches from the Wayne general store that were fabulous. Beautiful fire pit to enjoy at night. Easy to find and great location. Everything was as expected once we arrived and Becky was great at getting back to us quickly. Would definitely recommend!

This was a truly amazing stay. As we drove in we knew this was a truly amazing stay. We parked we could see the lake within feet of the cabin. At night we would just stop by the fire as a family and relax. In the morning we would do the same thing just open the door and enjoy the views and sounds. Everything was well above what we were expecting. This is such an amazing experience that we made it a spot we would like to go back to every few years. I highly recommend this stay to anyone who wants to relax, get away, or just unwind.

Cozy, lakefront cabin. Perfect place for a couple to get away. Enjoyed the fire pit every night and dined at the picnic table inside the screen house. Had everything we need & more.

Just returning from camp. We had a great time, the weather was beyond fantastic, and the camp was perfect for 3 adults. Becky was always available for any questions. My only concern was the hill down to the beach, I wish there were stairs, but I do understand that would be a big investment. We hope to return soon! Thanks Becky!

I had a great time with my 5 years old and my husband. We enjoyed swimming because the pond is beatiful and the water very clean. They have a little island in front and is great for fishing. We loved wait for the sunset. Amazing sunset. The cabine is warm and you can find everything you need to cook, watching Netflix, play a board game, read a book or just look at the lake. I really recommend this place if you are looking peace and have a great time with friends and family.

Our stay at the cottage was fantastic. The views were amazing and being able to wake up and explore the pond was relaxing, quiet, and private. It was just the vacation that we needed.

This cabin was so fun! Our family swam every day, enjoyed the waterfront fireworks over 4th of July and in general had the most wonderful time! Our kids described it as “the best life ever” :) highly recommend this cabin if you want some fabulous family time on the water!

This was a wonderful place for me and my kids (grown kids) The place is quiet (neighbors on the one side that is close weren't there, apparently rarely there) and the owners family cottage nearby but not really visible so a pleasant sense of privacy and for me, needed solitude. The lake was very clean and the view from the cabin wonderful - including a nice view from larger bedroom. The water very swimmable, easy clean frontage and kayaks easily put in water and a lot to explore on the boats. Nice hiking trails within short walk from cabin. The cabin itself is a work in progress with many new features and construction and some older more rustic features. None of this was important to me as the place felt clean and comfortable. We had a great time and I look forward to returning The owner, his family and Lauren herself - quite responsive and pleasant but also gave us a sense of privacy. I think the rental was new for them so there were questions that arose but all issues were attended to immediately and all resolved without any problems. (The app difficult to use, so I can't really see what I am typing so forgive my writing)

This is such a beautiful place to stay that makes you feel at home and cozy and very comfortable. The sweet touches of things to make you feel comfortable and also Andrea is so kind and very quick to reply and know you personally by knowing our names. When we were leaving she greeted us so warmly and asked how our night was. We will be back again. She is such a wonderful host! You will not go wrong with booking a stay here! 💙

The rooms are tiny but really comfortable. They have everything that a larger room would have, except empty space. Bed was super comfortable! Location is one street up from the riverfront historic district. I would stay again for sure.

Audrey’s lake home is spectacular. We were a group of six adults, and we were quite comfortable in the space. It is incredibly clean and well kept and has a great access to the pond. We did not have the dock during our stay (leaf peeping season), but it was still fairly easy to get into and out of our kayaks. We got some great use out of the propane fire pit too. All around the experience was great - I highly recommend!

Excellent stay

We’ve visited the Fayette area annually for years and have stayed at several places - this is, by far, our favorite. Serene, beautiful, private...with the fun of swimming and kayaking and floating on the lake. It’s definitely one of the best AirBnbs we’ve stayed at.

Audrey was a great host, with very good communication, and she had a house that exceeded our expectations! All of the amenities you could think of (and forgot to bring) in the kitchen. Well laid out open design living area with great view of the water. We took advantage of the calm water with very little in the way of motor boats and used her kayaks to explore the pond. One and a half bathrooms comes in handy for 4+ people, and entire home was well lit inside and out, including ceiling fans in master bedroom downstairs and in living room. Her caretaker next door was super helpful in getting us acquainted with the house and even helped us pump up one of the water floats.

Great quiet spot with a simple and clean house right on the pond. Plenty of things included that may or may not be listed, worth asking if you have any questions, owner incredibly responsive. Closer to neighbor than expected but they’re the one that will help you check in and otherwise you’d forget anyone else was there. Gets a lot of morning sun, grab a coffee in the Adirondack chairs as recommended. Things like kayaks, chairs, other furniture, tv etc all good quality which sometimes isn’t the case on Airbnb when you see it all in person. Thoughtful setup with everything you might need

We had a lovely time at Audrey's place! Great spot for fishing, reading a book, kayaking, sitting by the fire ...I could go on. Theresa and John next door were so helpful with answering any questions we had. :) We hope to be back soon to enjoy this spot again.

Cindy's space was lovely, she is an amazing host, and the access to the beautiful lake made the stay more than we could expect. The only warning I would give is: if you are much over 6'2ish the ceilings might be a bit cramped. But, Cindy welcomed us and provided food, drinks, and even a bottle of wine. She offered thoughtful suggestions for the area, and was quickly available for all communications. She also built a fire and allowed us use of her firepit and provided a s'mores kit. All of her kindness and her beautiful space made for a truly wonderful weekend. If you're looking in the area, book her now. Simply amazing - 6 stars.

This was a lovely vacation rental. We had a view of the lake which was incredibly quiet and peaceful. It was so beautiful. When we come back we will definitely stay here again. Hopefully in the Fall season. Cindy’s thoughtfulness in providing everything we could possibly need from coffee/tea to great snacks was really appreciated. The space was great. There was a couch, small table and chairs for eating or writing, a kitchen space was more than adequate for our needs, all bathroom amenities were provided. This was one of the nicest rentals we stayed in during our visit. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Cindy should be rated as a Super Duper host! She thought of everything that we could possibly need. I had some questions about the area prior to our trip and she went out of her way to get them answered for me. The place is immaculate and the location is lovely!

I can't say enough about how great Cindy's place is. We arrived to find a sparkling clean space, stocked with anything and everything you could think of.. even a smores kit! We spent the weekend on the deck admiring the view and amazing sunsets, swimming in the lake, listening to the loons and sitting by the fire. Cindy and her Husband went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. I hope to be back one day.

The cottage is situated right on Lake Maranacook and was filled with beautiful, homey touches. The hosts were so helpful and we had an amazing 3 days! I would recommend it to anyone!!

Cannot say enough how great this place was. As Michelle had mentioned, it's a great jumping off point for a variety if hiking and day trips. The town of Mount Vernon was absolutely charming and peaceful. Would 100% stay again.

Michelle's place was great. Everything was clean and organized with plenty of beach towels, bath towels, games, and dishes. The bed was comfy and the decor was cute. We really enjoyed the large screened in porch and the little floating dock on the water. It was nice to play cards, read, or have a couple drinks on the porch without getting bothered by bugs. We saw quite a few loons and enjoyed hearing them in the evening. Sandy and Jeff were very nice and helpful fixing one problem we had quickly. Suggestions... bring water shoes as there are leaves, rocks, pine needles and such when entering the water. If you have kayaks/paddle boardsbring them too. The lake was so peaceful and calm!

The home came with amazing detail and tips. The property was absolutely perfect for a getaway. The lake it is on had great fishing and little traffic. Would recommend.

The pictures don’t do this place justice! We really enjoyed staying here. It’s nice and kid-friendly, and the hosts were very thoughtful in the amenities they provided. We enjoyed swimming off the dock most every day, and the screened in porch was perfect for relaxing in the evenings. We definitely recommend this place! My only suggestion is make sure to print or screenshot the important information, like address, WiFi password, etc, because you may not have phone service once you arrive at the cabin to look the information up!

Great cabin tucked into the woods. The views of the pond and surrounding woods are breathtaking. The host is very flexible and helpful. Check in/out was painless as well. We had a great trip and hope to be back again!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 months and Cue was extremely accommodating from the beginning to the end. If we had any issue it was taken care of immediately. Cue has provided everything you will need for a short or long stay. Very short walk (50 yards) to the beach. We came in October and enjoyed kayaking (which were provided) and later in January walking on the frozen lake. We would recommend this to anyone coming through the area.

Amazing lake house! So peaceful and quiet! The house was clean and had plenty of room and all the amenities we needed during our stay! Our host was great and quick to respond! 5 stars!

Absolutely wonderful place! One of the best-appointed places we have stayed! They even have a griddle and a crockpot, which was great! Linens are provided as are more towels than you could ever need! PLUS there is a washer and a dryer! Great, safe place for our dogs, only steps to the lake, use of a canoe, a paddle boat, and some floats as well! Very clean and Cue is super responsive. He replies right away with any answers to questions you may have. Wonderful experience! We will be back!! Quick note on the shower pressure - the issue is that there is a shut-off valve on the shower head that turns off every time the water is turned off. You just have to know to turn the switch on the head each time you shower and it will be fine! Shower works great!

So quiet and relaxing, water was warm view at water is great. The house is spacious and clean. Best view of the stars I have ever seen. Hope to return. Thanks again for having us.

I wish I could give Rondi and The Nest a thousand stars!!! Rondi is such a kind and hospitable host. From local recommendations, to personal accommodations like directions and making fresh muffins in the morning, she really goes above and beyond to make every guest feel unbelievably welcome! The campground is also fantastic and has every possible amenity you could need for outside fun. As for the Nest, it was great! I came to the cabin to get a lot of writing done and it was perfect. Cozy, clean and a fabulous place to cuddle up and work in the peaceful Maine wilderness. I highly recommend!

It’s a beautiful place! I was looking for a nice relaxing break and it was perfect. You’re next to a lake and there are also mountains around and nice little hikes around. Rondi made sure that check in was smooth and it was truly a pleasure. I’m already trying to plan my next time here!

A hidden gem! This cabin is located in a quaint little Maine town right on Echo Lake. You have access to kayaks, pedal boats, canoes and plenty of short hiking trails around the area. By far the most beautiful backdrop is at dusk when the sun sets directly over the lake. Thank you Rondi for a peaceful stay!

Rondi’s little ‘Nest’ was perfect for me. Was in area to visit son. He wasn’t available every day, so, I got to be on my own. I felt VERY safe and comfortable in the little world of Camp Skoglund! Such pleasant, inclusive, vacationers staying in little cabins throughout. Many of them with wonderful histories of being young campers of the original all boys camp and the larger than life director ‘Uncle Will’. After a most relaxing day, all to myself, on Echo Lake, I enjoyed the , very unexpected, invite to ‘happy hour’ around the campfire with some wonderful folk!

This place is amazing. The extra touches were very nice. We were given a list of popular things to do and see. The lake access was a huge bonus. It is very beautiful.

This was my first stay in Maine and it exceeded my expectations! The rooms are very cute and cozy. Across the street is a beautiful historic church and it's also walking distance to the downtown district and the Kennebec River. Great food options in downtown Hallowell and the little tavern stays open pretty late so you have have a drink and listen to the band at night. Perfect place for a solo traveler!

Perfect stop to stay overnight between Maryland and Prince Edward Island. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer to enjoy everything offered. The house was more than clean and very quaint yet modern with a large and inviting kitchen. Shared bathroom worked out well and we had lots of privacy but other guests were kind when we encountered them. Host was helpful too about local spots. A great spot off of the highway!

Great place!

Alex's camp is a terrific family stay for the budget minded traveler! Spectacular views of Lake Annabessacook, especially during the Fall foliage change during our stay. Just a short drive of Rt. 202 and only 5 minutes form the center of downtown Winthrop. Alex has thoughtfully provided a great selection of family games and movies for cozy evenings that we truly enjoyed. Simple, clean and inviting with a recently renovated kitchen and living space. We had all we needed to prepare a family dinner of lobsters and burgers and enjoyed them on the picnic table off the deck. A lake side fire pit and chairs made for two great evenings of sitting by the lake and making s'mores! We were only there for 3 nights but made great family memories and we would definitely come back and recommend to other guests. Thank you, Alex!

I booked this for a friend of mine coming to Maine to visit. She loved it. She had friends over, and thoroughly enjoyed the space. It is perfectly placed on the lake. We had two choices - put her up in a hotel in Lewiston or this.... which was actually cheaper than the crappy one room hotel. Gracias!! Mille Mercis!

Sarah's house was beautiful! Everything felt very comfortable like I was staying in my own home! If you want privacy this is a great place. We had a great time fishing on Long Pond, caught tons of sunfish right from the dock! Also caught some large mouth bass and a couple of perch! The dock was very convenient for our boat and Long Pond is gorgeous! Right from your dock is nearly 20 feet deep perfect for jumping in! It is a bit far to your nearest grocery store but Flyingpond Variety has alot of stuff! We enjoyed Days Store in Belgrade which has an ice cream parlor that you can boat to as well! All around this was a great vacation and would return in the future!

This is a beautiful cabin in a quiet, serene location on Ling Pond. If you want to get away from it all, this is it. The cabin is nicely furnished and very clean. The sunrises from the 2nd floor deck are lovely! Large open living area on second floor and 3 bedrooms & bathroom on first floor as described. A truly awesome place.

This is a beautiful home, I wouldn't describe it as a "camp". Everything you could possible want or need is in the kitchen. The host even left some k-cups and snacks for us. The home is very open with high ceilings and just lovely! There are some views of the water from the deck, but this home does sit up high on a mountain. The pathway down is long and steep and you will get your daily exercise coming back up, but once down by the dock the view is spectacular and the lake/pond is just amazing. We hated to leave this little bit of paradise. You can rent a small boat with engine across the water at Castle Island Camps which we did for 3 days, which allows you to go to Days store in just a few minutes.

Beautiful views, peaceful surroundings, kind neighbors and the locals are extremely friendly and helpful. Our favorite was the Old Post Office Cafe (Breakfast & lunch) and for a fabulous meal The Village Inn & Tavern in Belgrade Lakes! We shopped at the Flying Pond Variety Store. Their bakery had great breads & pizza!

Stay was perfect. The house is on a hill providing a perfect of the sunrise. The hike to the private dock is steep however Sarah informed us of this prior to our booking which we appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked and left us needing nothing. Sarah was very accommodating and quick to respond any questions that arose during our stay. Thank you for some amazing memories!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is nicely furnished and very comfortable. Excellent dining facilities. Comfortable table and seating and every cooking utensil you might need. Beds have nice linens and are comfortable. We hope to stay again soon.

Came from New York to visit family nearby. The lake is beautiful when you walk down to the small sandy beach area. Kris and Pete were wonderful hosts and allowed us to check in a little earlier than check in time.

This cabin was perfection! The outdoor areas are what really make it special, as the chairs at the point provide such a neat little spot, and the beach is wonderfully private as it is set back in its own little cove. The lake is clean and was very quiet throughout our stay (no jet skis allowed on this lake!). The cabin itself had plenty of room for all of our stuff, including an entire empty closet, and many shelves in the bathroom. The snacks and coffee were perfect and we especially loved the choco chip cookies. We never heard a peep out of Pete & Kris's home, which is very close to the cabin, and we loved being in the quiet of the woods and lake. We could not have been happier. Thank you!
