Places to stay in Eagle Bridge
Welcome to Farmview AirBnB located on our diverse farmette. We are a working farm and you are welcome to tour the grounds to say hello to our chickens, ducks, guinea hens and LT our turkeys. Fernando and his harem (peacocks) will peer in your window to greet you during the day, their a nosey crew. We have beautiful alpaca, curious goats, a fluffy angora bunny, 4 barn cats whom you will probably never see and 5 dogs who will greet you from behind their fence.
During the week this is my massage office. A very calming and serene space. There are 2 futons; 1 queen, 1 twin located in the main room and a twin mattress that we can put in the massage room. A nook to sit and read, or drink your tea and coffee. A very quiet place at night. A peaceful but not necessarily quiet during the day. You'll often hear the guineas, peacocks and roosters chatting it up!
We live in a beautiful rural farm community surrounded by horses, sheep and cows. Down the street is the Buskirk Covered Bridge. It's a 15 min drive to hiking and snowmobiling trails, cross country skiing, Willard Mountain for downhill skiing and tubing, kayaking the Battenkill and many other activities. 20 minutes to Bennington Vt, 40 mins to MassMoca, Saratoga and Albany.
  • Sweet & Savoury Farmette was an Airbnb stay and experience in one package! Nikki was very hospitable and friendly, we really enjoyed meeting the animals on the farm tour. Would definitely visit again.

  • The best cosy spot to roost with the peacocks, hang with the alpacas and chat with Prince the wise Anatolian Shepard.

  • Funky farm stay in a homey comfy studio! Bathroom was awesome and the beds were clean and warm! Hosts were kind and welcoming and the animals were delightful to see! I would definitely stay here again!:-)

  • Nikki's place was pretty great: comfortable, with a convenient kitchenette and really adorable farm animals!

    Donald2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot for families. The girls loved getting to know all the animals and helping out around the farm. Bring games and books and maybe a puzzle, it is a great place to hunker down.

    Liz2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous super comfy cozy unique stay on the cutest sweet and savory farmette.

    Guy2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at this lovely studio apartment on the farm with our two kids on our way from New York to Montreal. Naturally, the animals were a huge hit with the kids, and Nicki was incredibly hospitable in showing us around and telling us about her farming operation. We would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend to others who are interested in checking it out. The kids gave it a rating of 2000 out of 2000, and we couldn’t agree more.

  • If you like the country and know the area you’ll love Sweet and Savory Farmette! Great stay.

Cozy apartment situated on a quite side street in charming Cambridge Village. The second floor apartment is the only unit in the house (downstairs is the owner's art studio). The apartment is completely separate from the art studio; separate entrance, heat, and amenities. Walk to restaurants, coffee shops, antique stores, farmer's market, library, parks, grocery store and more. The village of Cambridge lies within rolling hills, scenic farmland, and historic homes of NY.
The front of the house faces a grocery store parking lot, while the side and back of the house are shady and lush, with a small creek running through the yard. You can hear the babbling brook from the bedroom. It's quite relaxing and peaceful. All living space and bedrooms are on the same second floor level. There are 2 bedrooms and an open kitchen/living room area. The rooms are on the small size and the apartment is just right for up to 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. The main bedroom is 8'x11' and has a full size bed. The bathroom is accessed through the main bedroom. The second bedroom is 7.5' X 9'. It has a twin bed/sofa bed and is suitable for a child or single person. The living room has a sofa/futon if needed. Kitchen has a full size electric stove, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, cookware, dishes and dinnerware. The table seats 4. You'll find complementary coffee, tea, and breakfast items in the kitchen. The apartment has a dishwasher and a full size washer and dryer.
The home is located just off of Main St as you enter the village from the west. It is catty corner to the village's main grocery store and right next to the "New Life Christian Church". The brick Dutch Colonial home sits just at the end of the commercial zone and is the first home as you transition to a lovely tree lined street, with federal style homes, historic markers (Continental Road), Revolutionary war cemetery, and farms. Cambridge is a wonderful location with so much to do. Its also a short drive to Bennington, VT (19 miles), Saratoga Springs (24miles), Manchester VT (24 miles), Williamstown MA (28 miles), state forests, ski areas, and parks. Enjoy the Battenkill River, hiking trails, biking, mountains, museums, covered bridges, and much more. Cambridge is a eclectic and charming village, home to families, retirees, business people, artists, friendly and diverse people. Historic Hubbard Hall (within walking distance) is an education and arts center offering concerts, performances, shows, and classes. Adjacent to Hubbard Hall is Valley Artisan's Market, an art gallery staffed and managed by local artists. Round House Cafe is a favorite coffee shop right next to Hubbard Hall. There are antique stores, shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, library, and parks all within walking distance. We are also fortunate to be a short driving distance from the New Skete Monastry, just down the road. The Monastry is a beautiful and peaceful visit, also very interesting as they are world famous for the raising and training of German Shepherd dogs, and for making the best cheesecake you ever tasted! Cambridge is a very quiet, low key town, the perfect place to rest, relax, enjoy the people, history, and scenery of upstate NY.

  • Carol's airbnb went beyond expectations. She made us feel right at home with complentary drinks and snacks. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean! Even though Carol has a dog and cat, they are very well behaved. Excellent hospitality, I plan on booking again if I am ever in the area!

  • This was a lovely home and Carol and Dominic were really welcoming and friendly. There were some places within walking distance, plus lots relatively nearby if driving. They also have a very friendly dog and cat who love attention but also will leave you alone if you prefer.

  • Carol goes to great lengths to make one's stay as comfortable as possible. The bed is very nice, there are all sorts of treats and water in the room, and coffee in the am! Very friendly host, who provided us eggs on departure. Would definitely stay again, hopefully next time with enough time to explore Hoosick Falls.

This room is on the 2nd floor of a 200 yr old cape farm house. It has a double bed, bedside table and lamp, and a chair for your luggage. This East facing dormered room gets first light in the fall, winter and early spring, but dappled sunlight once the Maple trees leaf out. The room is on a working farm, so you will see chickens, alpacas, and a turkey named Thomas. The bathroom is on the first floor, right at the foot of the stairs, and is shared with the host. Views in every direction!
Just outside your room, in a common area, there is a microwave, minifridge, and an electric teapot. Instant coffee sticks, microwave popcorn, bottled water, and some chocolates are at the ready. Bring your own favorites as well. The space is set up for your morning coffee, and for heating up any leftovers you've brought home with you. If you need something that is not in the common area, the host's kitchen is at the foot of the stairs, feel free to ask for anything missing!
I live in the most beautiful place in the world! I am on a dead-end dirt road. My neighbors live here for the same reasons I do; peace quiet, agriculture, and the pastoral views. Do you know Grandma Moses? Well, what she painted is all around us. Take it in! Also, as a farmer, you're always concerned about,"What if the animals got out?!". Well, if they got out here, they would just stick around. There are no cars to hit them, just some deer and coyotes to haggle them. A llama named Antonio in with the female alpacas helps ensure a degree of protection, but he eats a lot. A fair compromise.
  • Kim is awesome. She has a great place, and provided some local tips on where to visit. Highly recommend.

    Anthony2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • A great get away hideaway out in the middle of nowhere. And yet you’re near all the best upstate New York has to offer. Great and friendly host is eager to help!

    David2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place with lots of lovely animals! Kim is great!

    Daniel2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • When you ride up State Line Road and as I did confusing one end for the other, follow Kim's instructions. She is that rare person who is almost always right. Greetings by Alpaca, Llamas, Chickens and the beautiful mountain range was surreal. Kim and the motley crew of dogs keep you grounded and happy. Her farm and its many moving parts provide function, form and beauty. There's New York maple syrup, homemade apple streudel and quiche--by Kim. Looking out the window in her homey yet tasteful kitchen is like a Currier & Ives scene from long ago. The hot shower and comfy bed are great, and in winter the space heater keeps you toasty. Her guests from every place make it even more interesting. Go and be open to the magical farmlet and enjoy! Grandma Moses, the American painter, homestead is down the road.

    Gigi2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place. An awesome place to take your kids. They will love the animals. Dogs, cats, chickens, roosters, alpacas and a llama! The hospitality was amazing and Kimberly was so extremely helpful when I got lost, she stayed on the line until I could find my way in the dark. We will be back for maple syrup tapping in the spring!

    Donna2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Kimberly was an amazing host. We had super nice breakfast together! The room matches the description and everything was really clean! I recommend it:)

    Isabelle2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic stay we had at Kimberly’s. We left feeling like family, and we were blown away by the extremely high degree of hospitality provided by our host. The time spent with the llama, alpacas, chickens, ducks, turkey, dogs, and cats was a huge bonus. We’ll definitely be back.

    Ethan2019-10-21T00:00:00Z

Camp or stay in cabin on your own 100 acre mountain! The character of our landscape helps define the self-image of the people who inhabit it and gives us a sense of place. The Cambridge Valley is the dynamic backdrop of the New England lifestyle. This easy Colfax Mountaintop escape evokes the essence of our landscape and heritage, allowing one to experience valley farmland, lakes and rivers while witnessing inspirational New England mountain vistas.
This 100 acres estate has a well designed 4x4 road to the top of Colfax Mountain where there is a small cabin. This is carry in carry out camping, you are responsible for all amenities. You are renting 100 acres of nature with mountain top views. All garbage must be brought out with you.
  • This property is a beautiful rustic camping spot with lovely views of the Green Mountains. It is a very peaceful, quiet place to unplug and enjoy nature. It's close to the quaint little town of Cambridge for amenities and there are several local breweries to explore on the NY and Vermont border. The views of the sunrise from the mountaintop are stunning and the stars are very bright because there is very little light pollution. There are several old roads along the property that are fun to explore and hike. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Jan's property, so much so that we are already planning a return trip in the fall. Jan was very quick to respond and communicated helpful hints and local recommendations. Be aware that if you plan to drive to the top of the property (where the best camping spot is) you'll need a trustworthy 4WD vehicle. I highly recommend the property for a rural escape!

    Jacqueline2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. The cabin is very minimal; it is more like a shed with a table and chair. Jan was helpful and available if I needed him. Note that it is a big advantage to bring an AWD vehicle to your stay, that way you can drive all the way up the cabin. If you don't, you will have to lug up your gear like I did.

    Justin2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time staying at Colfax Gold Mine Mountaintop. The property is 100 acres of beauty. We parked at the bottom of the mountain on the property and hauled all of our gear to the top. We could have used the road, but preferred to go as low-tech as possible. We camped in a tent on the top of the mountain and used the cabin to store gear. The spot is perfect for tent camping, or camping in the bed of a truck, or you can even sleep in the cabin, which is outfitted with a small cot, a table, and a chair. The space is beautiful. The sun rises out over the Green Mountain National Forest, which you have a perfect view of from the top of the mountain. It is secluded, yet the roads to the top are well made. Jan was great about checking in with us regularly, and had plenty of recommendations for us of things to do in the area. This site was exactly what we were looking for: A place to camp in a remote, secluded area, yet one that was easy to access. There are other sites on the property where you can camp as well. On one of our last nights, there was a lightning storm, so we set up a camp lower on the mountain, which worked out really well. The location is secluded but at the same time, it is not far to Green Mountain National Forest, or to Saratoga Springs, or to the Battenkill River. Lots to do in the area. We hope to be back soon!!

Welcome to State Line Bunks. We are a working homestead in upstate NY located in White Creek. Please feel free to tour the grounds and say hello to the alpaca, free range chickens and our turkey, Thomas. Well behaved dogs are welcome on the farm but must be on leash or tethered while outside.
Private, cozy bunk house with a queen size bed. Small dining area including a mini fridge, microwave, electric teapot, and filtered water. Bathroom is located in the main house just 50' away.
A peaceful, quiet setting with wonderful views. We are on a well maintained dead end dirt road, right off of the primary route from North Bennington, VT to Cambridge, NY. State Line continues as a seasonal road, so is fabulous for your morning or evening walk! The neighbors are close enough to be handy, but not so close as to be intrusive. It is equally as close to the sports pub and restaurants in North Bennington as it is to the country store in White Creek hence there is good food within 4 miles either direction!
  • This stay was a perfect getaway - the farm life was very exciting and the little house we stayed in was quaint, cozy, and accurate to its description. Definitely recommend this stay!

    Liz2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable and away from noise. The animals are just outside your doors so be prepared for the calls first thing in the morning. *beware of the cat, he is super friendly and will make a move to get inside at the first opportunity*

Enjoy the grace of a historic family farm in the heart of eastern NY. Let the cool, fresh air and sounds of the outdoors start your day. Fill your time with a hike across our 440 acre farm then spend time with the animals and learn more about regenerative farming during a scheduled farm tour. Graceful Acres Farmstay is situated an hour south of the Adirondack State Park and within 35 minutes of Saratoga Springs, Albany, Troy, NY and Bennington, VT.
Each site has a 10X12 canvas tent on a wooden deck large enough to provide a space to relax in a ADK chair under the awning in from of the tent. Inside the tent you will find a queen-sized mattress with luxury linens, drinking water, a woodstove, general cooking utensils including cast iron, tea pot, french press and more. Surrounding the tent is a picnic table, fire pit, grill grate, hammock, solar shower, non-potable water and a compost toilet.
  • Our stay at Elizabeth’s tent was just the highlight of the season! The space was cozy and it was nice to feel secluded on top of the mountain with our own amazing view, yet, never felt totally alone since her and Brad’s communication was so quick. They were also so kind to show us around their farm and let us meet the animals. It was so special to learn about her farming experiences and get to take home some farm goodies to enjoy for months to come. We wish her all her best for future endeavors and expansion, and hope to stay again in the warmer months too! With each stay, she looks for ways to improve, so I’m sure with each visit your experience will be even better.

  • The Graceful Acres Farm Stay is the perfect weekend get away. A beautiful place to unplug and relax, take in the surroundings, and cozy up by the fire(s). I wish we had more time and better weather so we could have utilized the meal baskets!

  • Stop double guessing yourself and book this place!! Words and pictures can’t do this place justice. From the peaceful and magical views of the foliage to all the delicious baskets 🧺 (the baskets are a must). Thank you Elizabeth for being an amazing host! We can’t wait to visit next year!

    Ilham2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was amazing. The view is breathtaking. The tent is spacious. The wood stove was perfect and kept the tent toasty warm on a 33 degree night. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Babcock Lake is located within the Golden Ridge area and is noted for its breathtaking fall foliage This pristine lake is checked frequently for water purity and no gas powered boats are allowed on the lake which is stocked yearly with bass-a fisherman’s/fisherwoman’s heaven Enjoy relaxing on the patio. For those who want to explore the area, Babcock Lake is located near Bennington, VT; Williamstown, MA; Albany and Troy, NY. There's a lot to see and do.
. This is a great area for hiking, horseback riding, antiquing, live theater, wineries, golfing, The Saratoga Horse Races, covered bridge enthusiasts , star gazing, and more. You’ll enjoy visiting the gorgeous Peace Pagoda. Animal lovers really enjoy the Alpaca Shack and the Berkshire Bird Paradise. This is great place to stay. It’s a friendly rural closed community that especially likes and cares about the welfare of children and senior citizens-a kind and peaceful community. You’ll love it here. The cell reception in the house is poor-life in the country! But there's a land phone there where calls can be made and received; you can't make long distant calls. Some types of dogs are allowed as guests (I love dogs). BUT, I'll need info about them before they can be accepted. No cats are allowed. (I love cats too, but have family members who are allergic to them)
  • Everything was as described in the listing. Check-in was seamless even though we arrived very late after driving in from NYC, great amenities in the home and a location that allowed us to explore a lot in a short time.

    Hayley2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying in Marcia’s house. It rained one night and we loved the sound on the tin roof. For dog owners, there is tons of light on the front and side of the house but the road outside has no light whatsoever and it gets dark. We used our phones but will plan to pack a flashlight the next time we come.

    Mary Beth2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for our family weekend getaway. Fantastic host that is responsive and accommodating. Keep a lookout for the cute chipmunk that hangs out near the outdoor sitting area in the mornings!

  • Great place to stay with kids, plenty of space, beautiful setting, lake access, really well equipped place with all you need for a relaxing stay.

    Annette2019-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marcia was so accommodating, my sister and I are so grateful to her kindness and consideration after we told her that we were at Babcock Lake to spread some of our mom's ashes. The place was perfect for us. Roomy, warm and clean. She also provided great local information which was much appreciated. Even without our "mom connection", Babcock Lake is an amazing place, the perfect size lake and # houses. It appears the local community organization does a great job of keeping Babcock a special place. Under different circumstances we would love to have a place here. Enjoy!

    Mark2019-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place, it is located very close to the lake, just cross the beach road and you are there. The house is really cozy, there is everything you need, including a grill and a fire pit on the patio. Marcia is a great host! Definitely recommend.

Picturesque location on farmland with views of the mountains. We are a micro farm. Wake up and watch the sunrise and go for a short hike on the property, and get to know the animals. We are located 35 minutes from Saratoga Springs and Lake George, NY and 45 minutes from Dorset and Manchester, VT. Hike the Adirondack or Green Mountains, paddle the streams or go to a nearby small city for a play, a festival, or a concert. There is a long list of things to do and see within an hour of our tent.
Our adorable tent is situated atop a long hill with a beautiful view. Our animals will be grazing below you, and you will see mountains in the distance. Accommodations include a small cookstove, a picnic table, a queen size air mattress with two twin air mattresses also available upon request, a fire pit, adirondack chairs, a solar shower, a 5 gallon potable water container, and an outdoor toilet. The tent sits on a platform with a deck in front so is never wet or uncomfortable.
We live in a very rural setting, but a 35 minute drive to Saratoga Springs withits museums, horse racing, night life, music and festivals, or Manchester, Vermont for sight seeing, outlet shopping and wonderful food, and short drives to Hiking in the Adirondacks or Green Mountains, fishing on the Battenkill, canoeing and kayak rentals.
  • The tent space was an amazing place to escape and relax. Our host made us feel welcome. It is a great option for those looking for a unique camping experience. It was also perfect for our 2 year old. Bonnie put thought into what you would need whether you were an experienced camper or if it was your first time. Not to mention the views are priceless.

    Nicholas2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at this place at the end of our week long vacation and it was perfect. Even though we never physically met Bonnie, she was a pleasure to communicate with. Her thoughtful touches to the yurt style tent were amazing, including lemon water, beautiful flowers and a delicious chocolate cheesecake. She provides a lot of necessities which was also great. Our favorite part about our stay was how peaceful and relaxing it was. On top of that the views were fantastic! We would highly recommend staying here!

    Brittany2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome experience !!! We will definitely visit this once again. Felt like we were resting at the nature's lap and enjoying beautiful scenery all around. Highly recommend this place

  • Excellent stay 🙂

    Niall2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most picturesque views I’ve had the pleasure of glamping besides! In short, you can easily over pack when coming to Bonnie’s. She has everything you could possibly need (water, firewood, cook stove, outhouse) and the homemade chocolate zucchini bread, iced lemon water and French press coffee really show how much love Bonnie puts into the campsite. The yurt was perfect and foam bed was a nice touch! I usually sleep on air mattresses at other campsites so this was one of my favorites aspects. Did I talk about the view already? Well, you get the picture. Stay at Bonnie’s, you won’t regret it!

The space at Bright Wings is light-filled and serene, a quiet place to base your Vermont adventures. Awake to bird song and spend your days in the outdoors or discovering unique local arts & crafts. Then come back to Bright Wings "nightlife": listen to owls, star gaze, watch deer graze or read one of the many mysteries. Cairo and I enjoy meeting new people and sharing our view. All are welcome here.
Bright Wings is my home on 5 acres off a dirt road in Shaftsbury, Vermont. It's located about 5 minutes from Shaftsbury Lake State Park, 15 minutes from Bennington, 20 minutes from Manchester Center, and less than an hour from ski areas. The former 4+ acre lawn is being converted to a pollinator friendly meadow, gardens, orchard and woods. The guest area has a private entrance and includes a bedroom, private bath, and kitchenette on the first floor. The kitchenette includes a mini-fridge/freezer, electric kettle, coffee maker, and toaster oven, along with a small table and 2 chairs for guest use. It's great for instant meals, snacks or warming leftovers, but it isn't suitable for full meal preparation. Basics are provided: water, coffee, tea, sugar, honey, salt, pepper, and butter. Half & half will be provided on request at no charge. Just outside the Airbnb is a large fenced area for dogs- shared with Cairo, my friendly Belgian Sheepdog. Well mannered, house broken dogs are welcome, but cannot be left alone. Dog sitting is available for an additional fee. Sorry, no cats allowed.
Bright Wings is on a dirt road, off a dirt road, off dirt road, typical Vermont really. There are great "bare tree" views here, and incredible all season views about 1/2 mile up the hill. Wildlife viewing is ongoing. If the deer aren't striking a pose, the turkeys are.
  • Sarah is a wonderful host! I absolutely loved my stay in Shaftsbury thanks to she and her precious dog Cairo! Everything was beyond my expectations, warm, cozy, welcoming, and just perfect! I would definitely come back! I even got to take a soak in the tub which was super needed at this part of my journey across New England. Thanks so much Sarah! Can’t wait to see you next year!

  • We (myself, my fiancee, and our dog) had such a lovely weekend in Vermont, made all the more enjoyable because we stayed with Sarah and Cairo. We loved our mornings, spent wandering Bright Wings, listening to the crickets and the birds, and generally reconnecting with nature. Sarah and Cairo are warm and welcoming, and we'd love to visit again!

    Sarah2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah is a fantastic host and she has her guest area set up with great thought for the comfort and privacy of her guests! The location is beautiful and the bed is very comfortable and cozy. There is a small eating area with a toaster oven, small fridge and coffee maker with plenty of plates and utensils for your use. This is completely separate from her living space. The bathroom is very nice with a deep tub and 2 shower head options. The space is very clean and the separate entrance gives you maximum privacy and independence. The entrance is just a few steps from the parking area and no stairs. Sarah has a great dog, but you would hardly know that he is there as he is very quiet. While there is no television in the room, there is good internet connection and we found that sufficient. We throughly enjoyed our 4 days with Sarah and would happily stay we her whenever we visit the area. She is indeed a “Super Host”!

    Sally A2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful location! The property is very peaceful. I was busy with events at Bennington College and this is only 11 minutes away.

    Tracy2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s place is lovely - and will be even more so when all renovations are complete! The bed is comfy and the space generous. Also, the view is marvelous!

  • Sarah's AirBnB is nestled in a very pretty, quiet and peaceful green area. The room is immaculate and very clean. The comfortable bed. The bathroom is very clean too, the bath products made available to quality and there is a bath. Sarah is a very friendly host, both discreet and welcoming. We recommend warmly.

    François2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's place is wonderful! The space was large, comfortable, and very clean, and Sarah herself was very kind and hospitable. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area.

    Kristin2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s place was perfect! Located in a beautiful area with plenty of fun activities around to enjoy. We brought our dog with us and were able to enjoy some nice hikes during the day and when we went to events at night he was able to stay with Sarah and her dog while we were out. Everything worked out perfectly for us and I wouldn’t hesitate to book another stay with Sarah.

Very clean, well kept, 1 bedroom country cottage with an infrared sauna. Hardwood floors in bedroom and kitchen. Propane heater for winter months and AC in the summer. This a very quiet place, great for a relaxing getaway. There is a fire pit on the property, right near the cottage, for evening fires. We recommend AWD or 4WD or vehicles with snow tires during winter months. The cottage is located on a hill, can be slippery in the winter.
This space best fits 2 people, but can accommodate 4. There is a futon in the living room, which we please ask you to put a sheet on, you will find extra bedding and pillows in the bedroom closet. We have chickens on the property, which we do provide fresh organic eggs with every stay for breakfast.
Wooded and secluded. We live on a well kept gravel road. If you are looking for quiet and peaceful get away this is your place.
  • Beautiful, calm and restful. Great hosts!

  • Brian and Samantha’s cottage was such a nice space. It was close enough to various towns and Saratoga which made it perfect. Response time was great and they were able to assist with any questions we had.

  • This place is lovely! We highly recommend it for a quiet, relaxing get away. The hosts are gracious and accommodating.

  • Brian and Samantha’s guest house is adorable, perfectly clean and cozy. Brian and Samantha were easy to reach, friendly and even turned the lights on for us before we arrived and turned on the wood fireplace/furnace so when we walked in the guest house was cozy and welcoming. It was the perfect place to stop for a night on our way to Boston. Thank you!! Highly recommend!

  • Exactly as I hoped it would be. Very communicative and accommodating hosts. Location is just far enough from establishment while also not being too isolated. Had a great view of the stars and use of the fire pit. The space was very clean and is the perfect size. Would most definitely stay with Brian and Samantha again!

Our Birdhouse Retreat is one of the most sought-after destinations for couples and individuals seeking to reconnect with nature. Nestled in the valley of the Taconic and Green Mountains just 30 minutes from Saratoga Springs, NY, boasting quiet solitude. It sleeps 1-3 people. 1000 acre wetland, easy access, unbelievable wildlife viewing. Fish, Ducks, Geese, Blue Heron, Otter, Bobcat, and beaver may be seen in this environment. Watch National Geographic's Building Wild Video: Float My Cabin!
The cabin is right on a wetland preserve. Inside you'll find all the basics, including camp cooking equipment. Above the cabin is an "eagles nest" perch to gaze at the natural beauty. Just a short walk inland is an out-house. The cabin was built to view the bird life in the area. Because of that, there are birds nests build right into the walls of the cabin. There is a grill provided. ** The Birdhouse is totally off the grid, no electricity, and no wifi. There are also plenty of blankets...
Privacy/seclusion of a wetland environment with easy access by 4 wheel drive or a short walk.
  • The Bird House Retreat is a haven of nature and serenity. The cabin is unique, kitschy and comfy. There are bird nests built right into the cabin walls, where guests can peek at baby birds in the spring and summer. Jan has collected a lot of interesting knickknacks and displays them artfully. The bunks were comfy and brought me back to my days of climbing up to the top bunk. We stayed warm in our sleeping bags and dry when it rained. The grills came in handy for cooking almost everything we brought. Our addition of a backpacking stove helped with boiling water for tea and coffee in the morning. We spent hours watching the ducks, geese and birds fly in an out of the wetlands. Canoe and kayak trips through the marsh allowed us to explore even further into nature. Jan gave us many tips for local hikes and restaurants. This place is not to be missed. Thank you Jan!

    Wendy2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • great place to stay. Cabin is bigger than pictures make it seem.

    Chris2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned from the Birdhouse and are feeling rejuvenated in body and soul. Having arrived at the cabin after dark, our first impression of our “home” was limited to the warm glow of our Coleman lantern. Upon opening our cabin door in the morning, the true magic of the cabin was realized. If you enjoy peaceful canoe paddles in the misty morning sunrise with cowboy coffee in your mug and a warm wool sweater on your back, you will enjoy this stay very much so.

    Mairead2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to relax and falling off the social media grid. The scenery is just as beautiful as seen in the pictures.

    Nathalie2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at Jan's cabin and i must say that it was one of the best experiences I ever had. Jan's hospitality is outstanding and the cabin is everything I ever looked for and more. Already planing my next trip.

    Daniel2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • You will be amazed waking up there each day. It is relaxing, unique and Jan gives great suggestions of how to enjoy the town. It is such a fun place to explore - please see Big Big on the Arlington River and enjoy the chili at Wayside. You will feel rejuvenated and amazed with your time on the creek.

    Liz2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin will take your breath away! An Edenic paradise perched over acres of wetlands, you can sit for hours in weathered grey wooden rocking chair absorbing scene before you, as the still shallow water comes alive with flight of birds butterflies and dragonflies. Watch Otters crisscross the marsh, herons and ducks and geese as well, and listen to bullfrogs in surround sound. No TV or electricity to distract you from the spiritually enriching wilderness. The decor is flea market vintage chic— right out of a stylish magazine. The cabin is adorable in every way and every detail fits with the theme of a birdhouse. I would not only come back but could live here! a true Thoreauvian experience— time slowed down like it must have on Walden Pond. There is a great grill with an extra burner to make pasta or coffee - and lots of flashlights and some cookware. Bring essentials like sleeping bags, toilet paper and plastic cups/silverware and lots of water.. the mosquitoes and wasps are not bad at all and we found NO wasp nests at all. the only thing to watch out for is tics and it’s good to check yourself regularly. One of the best airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed in! Do not miss this phenomenal experience!

    Emily2019-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best time during our short stay at the cabin. Jan thoughtfully provided all the basics. As long as you're used to spending time outdoors and/or camping, you won't be disappointed! Our favorite part: Watching herons, otters, ducks, geese, and swallows from the front porch.

My place is a small mid-century modern glass and wood cabin 300 yards away from a charming small lake. (The house is not on the lake itself, it is surrounded by trees and there is no view of the lake from the house. )The only heat is a wood stove... so please be hearty and ready to stoke a fire if the weather is cold! This is a retreat for couples, solo adventurers, and families.
Wake up surrounded by oak, beech and maple. Lots of glass and no curtains, so don't choose this if you are worried about raccoons and chipmunks seeing you naked. This house is raised about six feet off the ground - my kids call it "The Tree House." (Technically it's not in a tree, but it feels like it.) This is a total escape: there is no internet except what you bring with you. This is a place to unplug.
This lake is a small private community where most people know each other and houses mostly stay in extended families. The lake does not allow motorboats, so it remains clean and quiet.
  • Very cute cabin in the woods. We loved it!

  • From checkin to checkout our stay was amazing. We enjoyed every aspect of the treehouse and it was even better than we expected. We took a walk down by the lake which was picture perfect and enjoyed a fire out back while making s’mores. The place is exactly as shown in the pictures and gives you the feeling of camping while still having running water and electricity. The kitchen was the perfect size to whip up a quick meal so that we didn’t have to leave this adorable space. When it was time to check out none of us wanted to leave! We are already planning our next trip there :)!!

  • Great cabin retreat!!! We had a wonderful time there, the space was beautiful and the huge windows, outdoor shower, fireplace, and lovely woods made for a great stay. Bed was comfy, cabin heated up quickly with a fire :)

Taraden Bed & Breakfast is nestled on 20 acres of southwest Vermont farmland in the beautiful and serene Village of North Bennington. OF NOTE: The Cottage is particularly suited for business travelers. Also, The Cottage is particularly useful and efficient for Parents of Bennington College for visits, picking up and dropping off.

It has a completely new bathroom with bench seat in the glass-enclosed shower and a kitchen area with refrigerator and microwave. French doors in the bedroom exit onto a deck that is perfect for warm weather lounging while enjoying one of the best views at Taraden. • The cottage was very clean, quiet and comfortable. It was a great place to relax after our day trips. Robert was very responsive to any questions we had and greeted us personally upon our arrival. I would recommend staying here.

  • What a gem! The private cottage is peaceful, surrounding by trees and bushes and dropped in the middle of a 1800s farm with pond, farm pets (cats and dogs)... and horses. North Bennington is a cute little (operative word) village, and the farm is a short walk to the middle of it. Bob was a great host, available as needed.

    Scott2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is just gorgeous.... spotless.. in a lovely setting. The hosts are so accommodating and just nice people! I’m planning my next stay!

    Mary2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage faces a lovely pond and a swing that showcases gorgeous views of the sunset. Rob and Nan are extremely kind and gave us recommendations for where to go. Conveniently located near the college and right next to the historic Park-McCullough house, the cottage was the perfect venue for a long weekend away. Look out for the beautiful horses trotting nearby and the artistic history of the property (previously owned by painter Kenneth Noland). Definitely recommend.

    William2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Paul is a fabulous host and took care of all our needs. Through Paul, we had an opportunity to learn about the area as well and he gave us tips about places to visit in Albany which were very helpful. We were there for only one night and it rained/snowed the next day morning when we left, so we were not able to see the beautiful scenic views the countryside area is known for. I would visit Paul's place again.

His hospitality was over the top and his first job was to always make sure his guests were taken care of. I had access to the kitchen and washer/dryer as well as wifi. Do know that you're not staying in the city but it's totally worth it. The scenery is fantastic and the people are nice. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to.

In the center of downtown Shaftsbury, don’t blink you’ll miss it. Our historic home built by Dr. Dean in 1904 has been a place of community ever since. A separate entrance and private back yard gives you the opportunity grill meals and toast marshmallows. Just minutes from hiking trails, lakes to fish and swim, mini golf & go-carts, historical landmarks, Art Centers, local theater and local cuisine. 15 minutes to downtown Bennington, and 25min. to downtown Manchester.
The front of our house has 2 porches. The smaller porch on the North end is the AirB&B entrance. The door will be unlocked with the key on the dining room table. Come on in :) Just leave the key on the table on checkout.

  • This was by far the best air b n b we have stayed at! Super clean! Very friendly hosts who offered us good places to eat and great directions to places.. very yummy breakfast and super comfy and warm bed! Hope to be back soon!

    Morgan2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Mark & Uschi’s place is clean, spacious, and has a rustic feel that matches the beautiful, wooded surroundings of their listing. The hosts were very communicative and flexible with our late check-in time (we arrived around midnight) and were up early in the morning with us to offer coffee on our way out the door. We also found our drive to Mount Snow - a little less than an hour from their listing - to be a pleasant drive. Their listing is a good deal for the price, especially compared to listings closer to Mt Snow. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend Mark & Uschi’s place of you are in the Bennington/Mt Snow area.

Authentic log cabin on 70 private acres of pristine Vermont forest with walking/hiking/show shoe/ski trails, river & mountain stream. Enjoy coffee on the large rocking porch while stargazing or taking in the woodland & mountain views. Skip rocks on the river and marvel at the abundant wildlife & majestic maples. The cabin is adorned with vintage decor & cozy braided rugs. Enjoy making meals in the large kitchen with gas range, full size fridge, dishwasher, Keurig coffee & double sinks.
We searched for 7 years to find the perfect place to move to from Colorado, and the moment we saw this cabin, we knew this was it! It is THE dream cabin. It has all of the modern amenities you could want, but with the rustic coziness you dream of for a cabin getaway in the woods. The bedroom is in the upstairs loft that is open to the main floor. It does not have its own door. It has a very comfy queen mattress and space for an additional floor mattress, if needed. The sofa folds out into a memory foam queen bed. There is a dining table that seats 4-5, as well as an island with 2 stools. Our private 70 acres also backs to hundreds of undeveloped acres for abundant hiking and outdoor opportunities. Snow shoeing and cross country skiing are wonderful activities for the trails. The cabin is private and secluded, yet only 15 minutes from our favorite restaurant and coffee shop in Hoosick Falls, and 20 minutes to everything in Bennington, 35 min. to Manchester. The WIFI is dual bonded DSL, but it may not be the speeds you are used to. It is typically fast enough to stream Netflix or Hulu without any problems, but it can be inconsistent. There is usually no cell reception on the property at all, but you may use WIFI calling if your phone has that option. There is a large TV and blu-ray/DVD player with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon apps that you may use your own account with, as well as several local channels. There are also some board games and books available for your enjoyment. The kitchen has both a Keurig and regular coffee maker, as well as lots of kitchen items like muffin tins, baking sheets, and cookware. There is a bathroom with a shower, soap, and shampoo. Coffee, tea, sugar, flour, spices, and condiments are provided. Fresh linens and towels, extra pillows, and cozy blankets are provided. There is an additional guest cabin available for rent for lager groups that sleeps 2 (plus a floor mattress, if needed). It has a bathroom and mini fridge & microwave. Laundry may be available by request, but not guaranteed, for longer stays. Please inquire.
The cabin sits on 70 private acres with hundreds of acres beyond that are undeveloped. There are endless places to explore on and around the property. There are also many activities and attractions nearby such as fishing or boating at Shaftsbury Lake State Park, visiting the Bennington Museum, Battle Monument, the Chocolate Barn, Cheese House, Dairy Bar in Arlington and Billy T's Northside Dairy Bar in Bennington, Manchester Village and the Northshire Bookstore & outlet shopping, Lincoln's Hildene, Orivs, Mount Equinox, Grandma Moses' Farm and gallery, Iron Coffee in Hoosick Falls, endless farmstands and antique shops, Vermont covered bridges, Cambridge NY and the New Skete monastery (where you can purchase their famous cheesecake), berry and apple picking, farms, and the list goes on. In wintertime, there are excellent places to snowshoe and cross country ski on the property.
  • This place exceeded our expectations A LOT! Not only because of how beautiful the cabin is, how neat it is, how everything is thoughtfully prepared, but also because Christine and Bryce were just amazing hosts. Before the trip we had some questions and they responded very quickly with all the information. We've never had an Airbnb experience this good and we've stayed at quite a lot of Airbnb places by now. So we would 100% recommend this place to our family, friends and everyone online thinking about booking this cabin. We also want to go back!

We can’t wait to come back!

    Cammie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We could not be happier about our stay in the CozyCabin! We were able to enjoy some snowshoeing on the 70 acres around the cabin. Thank you Christine and Bryce

    Mark2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

    Bobby2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • If anyone is looking for a cabin getaway in Vermont this is the perfect place. Christine and Bryce have thought everything you would need to have a home away from home. We will be booking again in the future.

  • Amy’s place is very quaint and has everything you’ll need. The isn’t a microwave which would of been nice for heating up drinks and leftovers. I’m a farm girl and live in the city now so it was so much fun having the chickens turkeys and ducks wandering around. Only about 5 miles to Bennington! Amy is always available to answer questions and give suggestions. This is a warm comfortable cozy place!

    Rebecca2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful New Years stay! Amy was incredibly thoughtful and left fresh eggs and dog treats! Loved all the chickens, turkeys, and ducks! We skied Magic Mountain on New Years Eve and was just close enough for a good day trip. We will be returning to the Cloud Compound!

    Robert2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Easy access, full kitchen, great host

    Ebrahim2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is rustic and adorable. Amy is a wonderful host, available and responsive. We had fresh eggs from her farm and other wonderful stuff in the fridge. My grandchildren stayed with us and Amy prepared their pull out beds. The kids loved seeing the chickens and ducks and especially the turkey. It was raining so we didn't pet the rabbits, even though Amy was willing to do that in the rain. I recommend the cottage for a really nice farm experience. By the way, Amy rescues chickens. She definitely has our vote!

  • Relaxation. Enjoyment of animals. Close to Church, Bank. Grocery store, Restaurant. bank, gas, food church

    Esther2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • A quintessential country cottage, complete with reliable rooster "alarm clocks!" The cottage is on the rustic side, which is to be expected, and quite charming. Our host provided plenty of nice touches (muffins, snacks, bottled water, Coke, lots of coffee for the coffee maker, etc.), made sure to give us lots of ideas about things to do and see in the area, and made herself available for any questions or concerns we might have. The WiFi, Netflix and Hulu streaming services, and AC were very much appreciated as well! The Bennington area is beautiful at any time of year, and you can rely on Amy to give you some great pointers about it.

    Paul2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's artfully decorated farm cottage and Amy's kindness made our stay and Vermont special. We would 100% stay again without hesitation. We loved it so much we purchased some of Amy's art, which adorns the walls.

  • This is a charming loft style space with possibly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! Close to everything, especially the delicious restaurant downstairs & Iron Coffee (which is amazing). We really enjoyed our stay!

    Cassandra2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is such an inspiring space! From the studio loft itself, to the restaurant and bar (Byte) downstairs, to Yucel’s gallery and Yucel himself, I constantly found myself feeling welcome and creative. This is the perfect space for a getaway. Hoosick Falls is in close proximity to so many beautiful locales including Bennington, Williamstown, and North Adams (Mass MoCA!). Once you’re done exploring and feeling ready to create, the loft is a beautiful space to cozy up and do just that! The bed is SO comfortable and the space was nice and clean. I didn’t want to leave but alas, here I am back home writing this review! Do yourself a favor and check out this space!

    Jonathan2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and in a great location, right near the local Walgreens and a bunch of new businesses that have opened up over the past few years. I grew up in Hoosick Falls and it was nice to not to have to crash with family and still be able to stay in town.

    Jess2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, and comfortable stay

    Charlene2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was an absolutely gorgeous space! When you walk in from the outside there is this common area/art gallery with several doors and other spaces. You can walk downstairs if you are there on a weekend and get amazing pizza (or i can recommend the veggie calzone) and beer. The bed in our space was one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept on and I loved climbing up and hanging out there above the rest of the space!

    Jessica2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy and artistic Perfect

    Patricia2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet loft in a small town. Everything is right around the corner, including a coffee shop called Iron Coffee that has amazing options! BYTE is a pizza place located right below the loft, and a “Stewart’s shops” sits across the street offering everything from toothbrushes to sandwiches. The loft had a really cool entrance into a hallway filled with other Airbnb’s. Highly recommend!

    Rachel2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here. I was working in Bennington for an extended period and needed a nice crash pad. Was great to have such a nice place to go home to each night and sure beats the standard Airbnb or hotel room. Ilze and Yucel have decorated beautifully with a mix of antiques, industrial items and their own artwork. I enjoyed hanging out and working evenings in the studio (internet access is really good/fast) and the bedding was very comfortable. Highest recommendation.

Welcome to beautiful Southern VT! This is a private cottage located in Bennington, VT. The setting is picturesque, on a private lake with diverse wildlife, waterfall and covered bridge. Full kitchen, covered porch, loft bedroom and additional sofa bed. We provide every conceivable amenity for a comfortable stay. A unique retreat for a cozy and peaceful getaway. There is no other vacation property of this quality and character in southern Vermont. Enjoy mornings on your own private lake.
We designed and built this cottage personally in 2013 to be a beautiful retreat for friends and family to come visit. In the times that we are not personally hosting, we thought that others might enjoy the use of our cottage. It is a romantic and private place. It has a front porch that overlooks the lake and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the evening with friends.
We fell in love with this location because while it is located close to Bennington town it is also private and quiet. The property is beautiful, featuring a large pond stocked with trout and frequented by eagles and blue herons. The outlet stream features a covered bridge and waterfall. There is a vibrant wildlife community that makes a home of the pond and adjacent wetlands. We are walking distance from Bennington College, 3 miles from Bennington, and about 20 miles from Williamstown and the Manchester Center outlets. Bennington is the historical center of Vermont with easy access to the Bennington Monument - the tallest structure in the state - as well as the historic Bennington Battlefield. Mount Equinox is the tallest peak in southern Vermont and is about 20 miles away from the cottage. We are within a short driving distance to the Green Mountain National Forest for hiking and there are many large lakes in the area for water activities.
  • Awesome place for a weekend getaway. Had a great stay in this cozy cabin, which was exactly the secluded spot we were hoping for while still close by to local trails. Would stay again!

  • We loved this cabin! It was so nice being able to bring our dog with us. She had a great time playing in the snow. We didn’t want to go out to eat a lot so we utilized the many cooking amenities in the cabin - it was much appreciated that there was so much available. Would highly recommend for a nice getaway!

Our tent is situated atop a hill in a pasture with a beautiful view. Our animals will be grazing below you, and you will see mountains in the distance. Accommodations include a small cook stove, a picnic table, a full size air mattress. Available outside is a fire pit, Adirondack chairs, a solar shower, a 5 gallon potable water container, and an outdoor toilet. The tent sits on a platform with a deck in front so is never wet or uncomfortable.
We live in a very rural setting, but a 35 minute drive to Saratoga Springs with museums, horse racing, night life, music and festivals or Manchester, Vermont for sightseeing, outlet shopping, and wonderful food. We are also a short drive to hiking in the Adirondacks or Green Mountains, fishing on the Batten kill River, canoeing and kayak rentals.
  • Bonnie is an absolutely fantastic host. You will not be disappointed whatsoever booking a stay at Runamuk Farms. From the incredible views, to every attention to detail on the glamping site, you are more than taken care of. We loved that fact that we could bring our 2 dogs with us. They LOVED being there. It was such a relaxing weekend and the surrounding area, Cambridge included, is so beautiful. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway...this is it. We took a few walks around the property and it just felt great not being in a rush to be anywhere... and just take it all in. Thank you so much again, Bonnie! We hope to be back soon!

    Anna2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The tent was located on a peaceful farm, surrounded by grazing cows with gorgeous views. The bed/bedding was very comfortable and stylish. Bonnie was a lovely host who provided lots of extra touches. Inside the tent, she had lemon water, glasses, mugs, coffee and a French press. Both the outside and inside fires were “set” and ready to go. The outdoor washroom was clean and convenient. Our 2 young daughters (2 & 3) loved our stay and didn’t want leave! Highly recommend a stay at Bonnie’s place!!!

  • Two Octobers ago, I stumbled upon Runamuk and was blown away by the view and all the little touches Bonnie adds to make it feel like home. I've returned every October and just finished my 3rd stay, this time in the new Tent #2, which I think I like a little more than Tent #1 (and I love Tent #1). This is truly a magical place.

  • This is by far the most scenic and pleasant experience I’ve had on Airbnb. The pictures don’t do justice to the feeling you get when waking up with such a beautiful view, hearing, smelling, and felling nature at its best. It’s a magical spot and Bonnie was an exceptional host, taking time out of her morning to allow my children to meet with her farm animals and start the day off right. Thank you.

  • Very thoughtful host. Beautiful views. Very comfortable bunk beds.

  • This was our second time staying on Runamuck Farm, and we loved it just as much as the first! There was actually a bit of a mix up with the tent and other guests, so we ended up staying in Tent #1, but a tent’s a tent and Bonnie was so quick to respond and resolved the issue seamlessly. We cooked over the fire before heading to bed under the stars, and awoke in the morning to a magical fog sitting atop the rolling hills. We loved the thoughtful touches of flowers, coffee and a sweet homemade treat waiting for us when we got there. Will definitely be staying again if we find ourselves in the area!

  • What a great place for our family to stay. Very private! Great for our dog. My two girls loved it!! The amazing bed, the nice place to eat. We really enjoyed our night at Bonnie’s place!!

  • We had a great time at Runamuck. Beautiful. Private. Camping in style. Thank you Bonnie!

My home is a renovated one room school house built in the late 1800's, located on a country road just outside the Village of North Bennington. It's an easy walk into the village, to some awesome restaurants, the wonderful Lake Paran and the historic Park McCullough House which is surrounded by beautiful gardens and miles of walking trails. My house is close to Bennington College and Southern Vermont College, 5 miles into Bennington and a 30 minute drive to Manchester or Williamstown, MA.
My home was originally a one room schoolhouse and was renovated in the 1960's into a residence. It is comfortably furnished. The 2 guest rooms are located on the first floor. (This is not a full house rental--it is one or two bedrooms in my home and I will on most occasions also be there.) Both bedrooms full size beds (brand new mattresses). The guests have full access to the living/dining and kitchen areas. Cable TV is available in the living room and wi-fi throughout the house. The full bathroom is located next to the bedrooms and is designated for guest use. I am charging $75 for the first guest and then an extra $30 per guest for up to 3 additional guests. I only book one party at a time--so if you are a one person or a four person party--you will be my only guests on the dates that you book.
You can take an easy walk to the village or stroll down a country road with views of the Green Mountains.
  • I am a frequent guest at Rachel's. I visit Vermont several times a year. My first choice of places to stay is here. You have two separate bedrooms with a bathroom between the rooms. Very comfortable.

  • Perfect for our family weekend getaway! Normally I do not like to do private room rentals with my 2 young kids, but she had such great reviews that I figured I would give it a shot and I'm glad we did! Rachel was very accommodating along with giving us our space/privacy. Location was great. My daughter loved seeing the horses outside her window at the neighboring stable. Highly recommend to stay here if you are looking for a great Vermont experience! Rachel was also very quick to respond and gave us great suggestions on where to eat. Very family friendly as well!

  • Great place to stay in southern VT. Nice host.

    Bill2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • One of the better shared spaces. Rachel was a friendly host and open to chatting. As a guest in her home, we felt comfortable and a sense of privacy rarely experienced in other places where you have a room and common spaces. Rachel was very accommodating and allowed us to take full advantage of her lovely kitchen. Her place is in a quiet rural setting but very close to town. Beds were warm and comfortable. The shower was perfect.

  • Lovely home. Very comfortable bed!

  • Rachel is a superb hostess.. Her home is so cozy and welcoming. She offered local tips on where to eat and a little history of the area. I will definitely come and stay again at the schoolhouse!

  • Emily and Jeff are great hosts. They are quick to respond and very accommodating. The space was very clean and cozy. It was perfect for my guest and I. We were in Vermont to spend a few days at Mt. Snow so the location worked out well. It was an easy ~45 minute ride with some nice views. Overall, a great stay!

  • Beautiful clean Cute place!! I loved it!!! Close to a town with food, but further feom Stratton then I had thought. Still a great stay.

  • An excellent stay, with wonderful amenities and accommodating hosts. Our travel plans got interrupted due to weather but Emily was accommodating to our situation. We greatly appreciated the small touches and the quick responses. We would definitely stay here again if back in the area, and would definitely recommend to a friend.

  • The apartment was spotless, spacious, and check-in was very easy. We stayed here while skiing Mount Snow so the location was extremely convenient. Emily responded to our question right away. I highly recommend this listing and plan to stay here again when we go back—what a steal!

  • This second floor apartment is lovely and has a nice rural serenity. We thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay. Emily was prompt in responding to our text messages. Jeff answered some questions we had, to our satisfaction. The rates were excellent, making our stay even more enjoyable! We give a genuine, wholeheartedly positive recommendation!

This room is on the 2nd floor of a 200 yr old cape farm house. It has two single beds, bedside table and lamp, and a dresser. This south-facing room has a view out to the Hoosick Valley. The room is on a working farm, so you will see chickens, alpacas, and a turkey named Thomas. The bathroom is shared with the host, and coffee and microwave are available outside your room or down in the kitchen. Lovely views in every direction!
The bathroom is downstairs from the your room, but right at the bottom of the stairs. Just outside your room you will find a microwave, mini-fridge and electric teapot as well as water, instant coffee stix and some snacks.
State Line Bunks is on a quiet dead end dirt road. Neighbors are close enough to help, but far enough to ensure privacy. The road continues as a seasonal road, not traveled by car, so it makes an excellent choice for walks in morning or evening! This is a most peaceful environment with serene views in every direction.
  • Farmhouse with adorable animals! The stay is comfortable

    Lynn2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kimberly is a great host and is extremely flexible and understanding. The farm was gorgeous and we loved seeing the alpacas and hearing the natural sounds. Thanks so much!

    Ness2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Kimberlys place was very relaxing and clean! Her animals on the farm are really cute and we enjoyed our stay!

    Marissa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Kimberly was awesome. She was a kind host and fun to visit with. I would recommend staying with her.

    Corbin2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in Kimberly's place was amazing expirience. I wish we could stay longer. Kim couldn't be there when we arrived but she arranged very nice welcoming for us including adorable dogs, hen and wonderful people. In the morning view of alpacas grazing in the yard was incredible. Very peaceful, calm, full of nature place, where even with a very low temperature it's warm and cordial. I'd definietly go there again and for longer! Thank you Kimberly for your paradise!

    Agnieszka2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kimberly is welcoming, offers a special fam stay and is a wonderful cook! Our regret is we only had one night to stay and visit!! We will come back to this off the beaten path piece of paradise!

    Katherine2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great stay. The setting is beautiful, the alpacas are adorable, and the dogs are super friendly. There is a coffee machine and microwave right outside the room, but we had coffee in the kitchen with Kimberley. She even introduced us to having maple syrup in our coffee (sounds awful, totally delicious). After spending some time getting to know the alpacas (totally adorable), Kimberley surprised us by offering to make us breakfast - bacon, eggs, and pancakes. It was a great stay and if we ever find ourselves up that way again, we will absolutely book another stay there. OH, we also got a really interesting lesson on maple trees and syrup making and were able to purchase some maple syrup, maple candy, and maple cream (SO GOOD). Really, stay here, you will love it.

    Ann-Marie2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • I loved all the animals and the view from the cream room waking up was an awesome surprise after showing up in the dark. Beautiful farm, beautiful animals, I only stayed for a night but I'll remember it forever

  • Jennifer’s place is spacious with many places to sleep. Everything was clean and easy to find. The kitchen had all appliances and many spices and beverages. She was very nice and responsive! Would definitely come back or recommend this place. 1 hour from Mt. snow and very close to a couple little places like a donut kart and pizza place.

    Bailey2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's house was truly amazing, pictures don't tell the whole tale. Sparkling clean, with tons of little details that make you feel at home. Her attention and prompt responses to any question ensures a smooth stay. She even accommodated an additional guest by setting up an extra bed for us. I'd definitely recommend it for any kind of trips, I'm sure I'll try to be back!

    Juan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This house was a perfect fit for my two children, my older parents and I to use as our home away from home. It was cozy and very welcoming, we felt very at home and comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom on the first floor was very convenient for my parents and the 3 beds upstairs let myself and the kids have all the space we needed. It was great having the extra bathroom up there also. We enjoyed the living room and fireplace together after a long day of traveling and visiting with extended family in the area. We will definitely try and book again in warmer months, for a longer stay to utilize the yard and the proximity to our family and friends on that side of the state and into Vermont! Jennifer was very helpful and considerate with the inclement weather we had over the weekend and the access to and from the house was great. Wonderful host, house and experience.
