  • What a lovely part of the world. Lovely property and great hosts

    Angela2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very short stay here (only 8 hours) as we arrived late and left early. The hospitality we received from Kim & Bimbi was amazing. They were there to greet us at 9:30pm and had freshly made bread ready for us too. We travelled with three Samoyed’s and they were very accommodating. Short but sweet stay. Very happy

  • A lovely spot on route between Sydney and Melbourne. Kim and Bimbi are lovely and very welcoming. Our lab enjoyed stretching his legs around the area on a walk. The recommended Bowning pub has fantastic food.

  • Kim and Bimbi were fantastic hosts. They were there to welcome us, assist with questions and made us feel right at home. We were able to wander their property to exercise our dog after a long days drive. Bimbi added thoughtful touches to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend them as hosts.

The Cottage is ideal as a writer’s retreat. And a regular bus service to Canberra means daily driving isn’t necessary. Fluffy towels, crisp sheets and the makings of a light healthy breakfast are supplied. The location is excellent, being in the heart of the Yass town centre. Walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants. The Picasso exhibition is on in Canberra, also hot air ballooning.
Old world furnishings in a turn of the century brick duplex, with an extremely convenient location close to grocery shops and cafes with off street parking.
This little unit is close to the Yass information centre, a lovely park and many cafes. There is also a riverside park with paths for cycling and walking.

About Yass: This region (Yass Valley) has many wonderful things to see and do: local wineries, arts and crafts, shopping, restaurants and surrounding small towns to visit. Yass is under an hours drive to Canberra and is between Melbourne and Sydney just off the Highway.

Glenview Alpaca Farm is a 25 acre working property located in Bango, NSW approximately 10 Kms from Yass in the Southern Tablelands. The Property has the permanent Derringullen Creek as a boundry, we are surrounded by green rolling hills and adjoining sheep farms. We currently have 25 Alpacas, Dorper Sheep, Mini Goats, Bee Hives using the Flow Hive Method, Free Range Hens and Ducks. Guests will be welcome to help with feeding the animals, note there is currently birds nesting near the Cottage.
Glenview was only purchased in 2019 and is a work in progress with a newly installed SUNBOOST solar power system which contains 11,275 kwatts of panels. This means using appliances during the daylight hours such as the washing machine will consume less energy off the the grid due to using the sun's natural light, and any excess energy made will be stored on the energy grid. Sleeping arrangements include one Queen Size Bed, a Double Sofa Bed, fold out Single Bed and a portable cot on request. The Farm has installed a Solar Opening Security Gate which has a push button code panel for access. Guests will be provided the security code prior to arrival and will be given a remote to open the gate whilst a guest. Glenview is a working farm and aiming to be Eco Friendly, small changes with the use of stainless steel clothing pegs over plastic pegs. All products used in the Cottage for cleaning will be Eco Friendly. Guests are very welcome to help Joy and Kerry with the daily chores of collecting the Free Range Eggs, feeding the animals, the Miniature Goats require brushing and going for a walk on their lead and changing the various waters etc. Please join our Facebook Page "Glenview Alpaca Farm" to view more information about our farm and animals. Throughout the year general animal husbandry will be on going such as shearing, tagging the sheep, fencing and general chores. Please make contact and we will be able to provide you with any upcoming activities.
Yass is a town in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales. The name appears to have been derived from an Aboriginal word, "Yarrh", said to mean 'running water'. Yass is located 280 km south-west of Sydney on the Hume Highway. The Yass River, which is a tributary of the Murrumbidgee River, flows past the town. Yass is 59 km from Canberra; lying at an altitude of 505 m AMSL. Yass has an impressive and historic main street, with well-preserved 19th century verandah post pubs. It is popular with tourists, some from Canberra and others taking a break from the Hume Highway. The Yass Show is held in March, The Turning Wave Festival in September, and the Yass Arts-and-Crafts Festival in November, along with numerous other festivals and events throughout the year.
  • This place goes above and beyond. The hosts, Joy and Kerry, are amazing and you feel at home from the moment you enter the gate. Joy is a wealth of knowledge and has even convinced my youngest son to become a farmer. Our stay was only one night (which was not enough) but we will definitely be returning!

Under cover parking for a small SUV or sedan. If you have a copy drop by and Greg will sign your copy :)

Great water views overlooking Murrumbidgee River and exclusive use of swimming pool. Break your trip with your four legged friend/s, or stay a few days and relax in our clean country fresh air. See the stars, and hear the silence.
The space consists of a queen size bed with 100% cotton air dried sheets, and a modern ensuite bathroom. A sitting area with a sink, refrigerator, microwave and stove. The cooking space is quite small and best for fairly basic food preparation. Also included is a TV. (32" flat screen) and a DVD player. We are very pleased to announce that we have just installed reverse cycle heating and air conditioning for your added comfort. There are ceiling fans if required and gas heating for the cooler weather. A 'Tastic' heater is in the bathroom for extra comfort. Enjoy exclusive use of our 10m pool, BBQ and deck. We will take children, over 5 yrs old, who are able to swim, but would insist that parents supervise at all times. A fold up bed is available as an extra bed, and the charge for extras per night is $30.00, to cover costs with extra laundry, cleaning etc. You will find some up to date magazines to relax with while here, DVDs and complimentary chocolate. The nearest shop/food outlet is in Yass, so I advise guests to bring dinner with them, or to book a home cooked meal to be served in the BnB.
This is a peaceful rural working property, 20 minutes drive from the town of Yass, with great views of Burrinjuck Dam. It is within easy reach of Canberra for sight seeing. Ie The National Gallery of Australia, Australia Museum, The Arboretum, High Court of Australia, The National War Memorial, National Capital Zoo and Aquarium, Floriade to name a few. Yass has its very own wine bar Yazzbar, (open Thurs to Sat) and Farmers Market on the first and third Saturdays of every month, a great selection of coffee shops and restaurants. A good place to stay to break a long journey and see more than just a motel room.

More history on the town is available through our information centre

  • Our stay at Old Linton was lovely thanks to the historic character of the place and the hospitality of Aiden and Stephe. The location was easy to find and close to the main shops/restaurants. Beautiful room and excellent DVD selection! Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway.

  • Lovely place, as described. My parents has such a lovely time!

    Angelique2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was excellent and Aiden and family made us feel very welcome and included. Bed was possibly the most comfortable thing I've slept on. Aiden conveniently runs a restaurant out of the manor (the Vieux) which has great food, well worth visiting. If you have time, make sure you take a tour around the manor, it has plenty of history that Stephe knows all about. This place was ideal for our lazy, relaxing long weekend away.

  • Jane's place was absolutely wonderful. Stylish but homely it had all the right touches. Who would want to stay in a hotel when you could stay here where you can enjoy the fresh country air, meet the spunky highland cows and just enjoy the thoughtful comfort space provided to you by Jane and Phil

    Gabriella2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this beautiful house is perfect. We arrived to fresh eggs, milk and juice in the fridge, along with a thoughtful bottle of sparkling for Valentines Day. The place itself is cosy (but spacious) and tasteful with a well stocked kitchen (including some delicious T2 teas and pantry items for cooking) and an extremely comfy bed. The view from the chairs on the patio was stunning - I think we spent most of our time just staring into the distance. Jane and Phil were really welcoming and were happy to show us around the farm and answer all our questions about living off the grid/more sustainably. We also loved getting to know the two dogs and of course the cows. The backyard is set up beautifully so you can have your new best friends Penny and Alice around if you want, or have a dog free stay if that suits you better. We also got to take a peek at the new tiny house and can’t wait to stay there next time! We will be back very soon!

    Liesl2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Completely stunning Airbnb on a small farm - perfect in every way. Jane and Phil were absolutely lovely hosts - super welcoming and attentive, yet the accommodation was very private and completely seperate from the house. Full of thoughtful touches, the interior is beautifully decorated in a country style with a slight eclectic/boho mix which all ties together wonderfully. The guest suite is full of gorgeous Persian rugs, books and many other thoughtful touches. The sofa is super comfortable and the king bed and linen is just lovely. We especially appreciated the dog-proof yard for our poodles and super friendly resident dogs who quickly became our new best friends. Foxtel channels, coffee machine, fresh bread, eggs and milk were all lovely extra touches. Couldn’t recommend enough!

    Gemma2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Luxurious, relaxing, romantic, what more can we say! We loved our stay on the farm and will definitely be back.

  • I was in Murrembateman for a birthday dinner, and decided to book somewhere to stay nearby, as to not have to drive. I booked a room at Janice and Neil’s place, and was only hoping for a cosy bed for the night. When I drove into the yard, I was amazed at how awesome the place was, super stylish and definitely loaded with character. The photos certainly don’t do it justice. The home is gorgeous, really warm in winter. It has two main sections... living and sleeping, connected by a conservatory. The floors are concrete, but heated, the place is immaculately styled. The bedroom was super quiet and very warm, the bed is firm (not too firm!) and very comfy... just how I like it. The bathroom was stunning with plenty of hot water and everything you needed to wash. I look forward to going to more dinners around the corner just so I can stay here again. It was the best nights sleep I’ve had in months! This place really sums up what Airbnb should be.

  • This is a great location for a nice relaxing holiday. We enjoyed kayaking, walks and relaxing. The complex has a lovely swimming pool to take a dip when you need to cool down. Tennis courts if you fancy a game or two. Also great views of the river from your bedroom window. Liz and Don were at reception to greet us and directed us to the cottage. Both very friendly and happy to help. The cottage had everything you need and was clean and new inside. (the pictures don't do it justice). Plenty of room for a family or a couple to enjoy a holiday in the country. Liz left the air con on for us when we arrived and a bottle of bubbles in the fridge. It's only 15 mins drive to Yass which you have a choice of cafes, bars and restaurants. We enjoyed the yass Bar which plays live music at the weekend. We would love to come back next year and do it all again.

Visit Historic Dalton " . . . the haunt of cattle duffers, bushrangers and robbery under arms" This charming village just 11 km from Gunning on the Hume Highway was settled in 1847. It retains much of its historic character and serves as a quiet reminder of gentler times past. When in Dalton visit: - The Dalton Shearing and Farm Co-op - The Royal Hotel - The Dalton Fossil Leaf Deposit - The Dalton Common - Ned Kelly's Last Stand - (a cleverly welded sculpture scene depicting Ned’s last stand) The Dalton Shearing and Farm Co-op The Co-operative was first opened in 1840 and was an important centre for people who settled in the Dalton area. No-one at this stage had their own shearing sheds or equipment, and so they paid the Co-op to shear their sheep and make chaff. They also hired equipment such as ploughs and horses. There was a Board of Directors who supervised the running of the centre. Robert Dowling, who owned the Co-op, also owned the flour mill. Jacob Stone arrived in Sydney from England in 1887 and was appointed as flour miller. He also became a Co-op Director in 1890. The centre was closed in 1920. The land was sold to Jacob Stone and has been owned by the Stone family since that time. Over the decades the Co-op Building was used for many different purposes and while it served many uses throughout this time it still retains its original old charm and image to this very day. In the 1980s Brett Stone, Jacob's great grandson, opened the co-op as a public museum and for many years was well known for the displays on show. The museum closed when Brett left the district and for 20 years the Co-op was left to the ravages of time, the elements and termites. In 2012 the Co-op was in a terrible state of disrepair and in danger of collapsing. Mike Stone purchased the property and set about restoring the shed to its former glory, but at the same time adding a slightly modern twist. The Co-op, as it stands today forms part of Mikes private residential property. Many of the displays and machinery still remain and Mike is always happy to show visitors through the Co-op and share with you its rich history. Other Places of Interest in Dalton Dalton Public School in Jobson Street was built in 1878 and remains an important education centre for Daltons young residents. A cork Oak was planted in the grounds during Arbour Day celebrations in 1890 and remains as a living symbol of individuality, strength and growth. A Police Station was established in Dalton in 1880 and a Senior police Constable appointed to maintain order in a sometimes lawless area. A substantial brick Police Station was built in 1886, with a residence, a cell with office, exercise yard and stable. The station and police cell closed in 1943 but still remain today. The building is now a private residence. The Uniting Church in Chapel Street was opened in 1860. One of the oldest buildings in Dalton, it has been in continuous use since it was opened. At that time Dalton was called "Wesley Vale" but the name was subsequently changed to Dalton after objections over the religious nature of the name. St. Mathews Anglican Church (Gunning Street) was built in 1878 and consecrated in 1883. A beautiful stone building originally had with a shingle roof, later replaced with slate. the bell in the belfry is dated 1859 and comes from the original wooden church located near the Jerrawa Creek bridge. The Dalton Common - Native flora and fauna abound in this quiet bush retreat located at the corner of Jobson and Brown Streets. The common, renown for its wild flowers is visited regularly by ACT and NSW Australia Flora clubs who keep its unique beauty a closely guarded secret. Please take care when visiting the Common. Not all our native wild life are furry and friendly. If you happen to stumble upon a snake or a big kangaroo give them the space they need. The Dalton Fossil Leaf Deposit - Early in the 1880s Mr J K Hume of Yass collected plant fossils from a deposit of conglomerate at Dalton. This unique and significant exhibit remains on display at the village tennis court, sporting and camping facility next to Oolong Creek running through the centre of the settlement. The Royal Hotel – The original part of the Royal Hotel was built in 1865 by Robert Dowling. At the time Dalton was a thriving township, with a tannery, a boot and shoe factory, wheelwright's shop, a general store, coach factory, winery, post office, school and chapel. The hotel soon enjoyed the support of the town residents and the many local farmers. The discovery of gold in the foothills surrounding the town resulted in even more thirsty patrons for the publican. Take time to stop at the Pub for a cold beer and to soak up some history and talk to our local history enthusiast Lisa Wiseman. You might even meet a few colorful locals who are always ready to spin a yarn or to. Dalton Services: Dalton Garage and Mechanical Services: Mon - Fri and Saturday mornings. Post Office: Open 5 days a week from 1pm Dining out: If you are planning to eat out the nearest eateries are a 10 minute drive away at Gunning. The Gunning Telegraph Hotel serves dinner and lunch in the pub bistro. Gunning has 2 reasonably priced cafe/coffee shops. Shops: The Gunning Service Station has a well stocked mini grocery section. A wonderful butchery shop is also at Gunning.
  • Michael’s place was very convenient stop on a trip from Melbourne to the NSW coast to break up the long drive. It was very clean, spacious, well appointed and we got a great night’s sleep as it was quiet and comfortable. Just 10 minutes drive off the highway gets away from the noise and lights.

  • Michael's place was a really relaxing place for us to stop on our roadtrip to Melbourne. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was so lovely to wake up to the sound of the birds and see the sun come up over the beautiful scenery. We would love to stay again in the future!

    Jessica2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place is a wonderful oasis between where we were coming from and where we were going. It was far bigger and better than we expected. The garden/yard is a wonderful mix, very interesting and also just being able to see around the area from the place was good too. The dogs were super friendly and obedient and the actual accommodation wonderfully spacious with everything included that one would ever want. It includes the biggest kitchen I've used in a Airbnb and much nicer than the one I have. It was an enjoyable and happy place to stay and we definitely hope to come again.

  • Such a great little spot. Watching the sun set. The stars were bright and the bird life abundant! We enjoyed walking to the neighbours farm to meet the cow and goats. Kids loved it. Mike is awesome to deal with and his two dogs so gentle and sweet. Will stay again!

As an added bonus your furry friends are also welcome... Michael was a great host and always responded to my enquires super efficiently

  • Arrived at the cabin just before sunset, after a long drive in heavy rain. Checkin was as seamless as it had been on our first visit, and after cooking dinner in the well-equipped kitchen we enjoyed a sound sleep, secure in the supremely comfortable bed while the storm raged outside. We were travelling with our two dogs and Mike went out of his way to make them welcome. Excellent hosting and a wonderful stay!

  • My dog Zeus and I had the best time:) he made quick fast friends with Cora and Tom... I’m pretty sure if I gave it a day Zeus would learn how to properly give you the ball back.. he had such a great time when it came time to leave he didn’t want to go and crawled under Michael’s porch when I was saying goodbye... passed up a pigs ear... only lured out on the 2nd throw of the ball. Stunning little off the grid home, really comfortable bed, great shower, awesome kitchen, little stunner:)

  • Dalton woodshed cottage is stylish and comfortable and perfectly set up for travelling with well-behaved dogs. Mike is a friendly and helpful host. I think we have found the perfect place to stay on our trips between Sydney and Melbourne. The cabin is also conveniently close to Canberra, in a charming rural setting. Enjoyed sunset on a hot summer day on the cool shady lawn.

  • The cottage is the perfect combination of stylish and practical. Every corner you turn towards there is something beautiful to see - but also an abundance of cushions and rugs and baskets to stay comfortable while you are there. A generous and delicious hamper waiting on arrival - fresh crispy bread, wonderful local eggs, and other treats besides. A very easy escape from Canberra; I hope to visit again soon! Thank you.

There is nothing they haven't thought of to make this place feel just like the perfect country cottage to relax and feel like home. From the keep cups to the welcome hamper, every single element of this cottage was exquisite. They have created a beautiful space and added so many thoughtful touches. It has the charm of old but with all the modern comforts you need. Very well equipped and the breakfast supplies were a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place. Great value for money.

My place is a wonderful historic Australian homestead. You’ll love the open fires in winter and the shade of the tall old trees in the summer, the homesteads high ceilings, the views and verandahs from every room, and the beautiful location. My place is a great experience for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families. There are 4 separate bedrooms for 4 separate guests available.
Our beds are very comfy with wool topping inside the mattresses. You can have king size to stretch out or long singles. There's verandahs to relax on and paddocks to stroll.
We even have the Hume'n Hovell Walking Track come by our door. The Goodradigbee River and Lake Burrinjuck are just 500 meters across the paddock and Carey's Cave is a short walk. Wee Jasper is definitely a great place to experience the diversity of the Australian bush.
  • This is an amazing property with a fabulous homestead. We would definitely go back there. Helen is such an experienced host, so helpful and a fabulous chef. Our room was so lovely and had a great bed and lovely pillows. We slept so well and enjoyed all the visiting wildlife including many kangaroos and parrots. Ian was so interesting telling us about the property and the amazing fossils found there. A perfect stop on our way from Sydney to Melbourne.

    Jennifer2019-12-23T00:00:00Z

  • Staying at Cooradigbee is very special - Helen and Ian are wonderful hosts, tolerant of boisterous and curious children, Helen is a fantastic chef, Ian is a great guide to the fossils and the Aboriginal artefacts on their property. The surroundings are spectacular - with plenty of space to roam and explore. The caves are an easy walk from the homestead and well worth a visit. What a luxury to explore the area all day and then return to a warm house, with food about to be served. We'll return, and probably stay even longer next time!

    Elisa2019-07-16T00:00:00Z

Come and relax in the Old House which has loads of character, only 45 minutes from Canberra. Sit outside in what I call the 'Tuscany' area overlooking the garden whilst you enjoy your breakfast in the mornings or a nice glass of wine in the evenings.
I have two guest rooms. One queen size room and one double room. The house does have a lovely big garden you can sit out in and watch the chooks scratching around. It's especially beautiful in spring and summer.
Gunning is a nice wee country town for a perfect over night stop if you are travelling between Sydney and Melbourne as it is only a few minutes off the Hume Highway. We do not have a local supermarket, but our local service station has a huge range of items. Gunning has the local Telegraph Hotel and they serve lunch and dinner. Gunning also has two gorgeous cafes, the Merino and the Hume. There are a few craft shops and a couple of Antique shops, (one in particular, a little Aladdin's Cave, just full of lots of intriguing Bric a Brac, a must visit). Also, we have the local market day on the last Sunday of the month. Gunning hosts a huge fireworks display once a year in September which attracts a big crowd and well worth a visit. Canberra is only 45-50 minutes from Gunning and the trip takes you through Gundaroo which has The Royal Hotel restaurant called (Grazing)with gorgeous food, the Crowes Wine bar and restaurant which is delightful to visit, and the Cork Street Pizza Place. Gunning has a great history - loads of Bush Ranger stories.

  • Carol's place is charming and homely, easy to find and the 1860s style is a welcome sight with beautiful timbers throughout, especially the incredibly wide old floorboards which you just don't see anywhere. My border collie Basil enjoyed exploring the yard and Carol was very friendly and great to talk with. We stayed while travelling Melbourne to Sydney

Merryville is one of Australia's best known pastoral properties made famous world wide by the late Sir Walter Merriman. The original part of the homestead was built in 1903 and in the mid 1930's the East wing and West wing were added. We offer an opportunity to experience rural living when wool was king. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of an old country garden and the history of the homestead and the farm.
We offer the two guest bedrooms in our historic bluestone homestead located next to the magnificent old billiard room/library. The cost for one bedroom is $195/per night. Additional adjacent queen size bedroom is $120 per night (good for 2 people). The lovely extensive garden and farm are available for walks, native birds and farm livestock. By arrangement we can show you around the farm and the wool shed. Continental breakfast is included. We have a large lake within walking distance of the homestead, there are kayaks available for your use and a pontoon anchored in the middle of the lake. We have a porta cot and a high chair available. We are also offering now our garden for venue hire for any events or weddings. Please hop on to our website for more details. Thank you.
Our district is renowned as the Wool, wine and waterways area - "cool climate wine country" which includes numerous restaurants, wine tasting, truffiers, water activities at Burrinjuck dam etc. Our gourmet food and wine activities are legendary.
  • A perfect mini-getaway from Canberra for a night or two.

    Anna2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing place to stay- one of a kind- imagine stepping back into the Golden days of pastoral history! The house itself is incredible, fantastic deco architecture. From the moment you drive through the gates you feel like you are entering another world. Settle by the fire for wine and great yarns with your hosts. The decor is both eclectic and fabulous. The rooms are inviting and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was an altogether wonderful experience - a gorgeous long dining table set with Royal Albert china and a feast of delicious food- Rob and Ning go our of their way to make you feel at home. I can't wait to get back and enjoy their 5-star hospitality.

    Deborah2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely old homestead, and Rob and Ning are great hosts - thoughtful and kind upon arrival, and then left us to settle in. The heaters on for our arrival, and electric blankets on the bed helped counteract the Yass Valley winter - but I'm sure the property is gorgeous in spring when its warm enough to enjoy the beautiful verandah and surrounding trees. The continental breakfast was generous and a great start to the day. Thanks

    Amy2019-07-12T00:00:00Z

Our host Rob and Ning were very welcoming and attentive to our needs. They gave us the privacy we needed and they out did themselves with the little touches to make us feel welcome. We would recommend this beautiful homestead to everybody. Thank you Rob and Ning for opening your beautiful place to us.

    Greg2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing experience. Rob and Ning are excellent hosts, I don't know where to start. I have traveled with my 2 kids ( 10 and 12). Rob has taken us in his car through the entire property, we have seen the sheering sheds, the sheep in the fields, the water wells and much more. Ning has created the most beautiful gardens surrounding the majestic historical homestead. We all had a drink at the front porch admiring the scenery. The entire house has great charm from the times gone by, fantastic architectural details, it feels like stepping into another time. The owners have great spirited dog called Chocolate, who became the best entertainment with my children. They have bonded instantly and became best friends. The property has magnificent billiard room which we have enjoyed very much. Great breakfast in the morning- fresh eggs from the farm, bacon, beans and tomatoes. I can't but absolutely recommend this amazing historical homestead! Beyond 5 stars!!!

The Murrumabeman Tavern or Pub provides substantial tasty meals which are good value for money. Olleyville (refer to Guidebook) is a new upmarket restaurant located at the Shaw Vineyard Estate. And is popular with locals and those from Canberra. There is a Saturday morning farmers market every 2nd weekend from 8am-1pm. It is close to several wineries and you also have the option of Canberra for Museums, Shopping Malls, Sight Seeing, Look Outs and Night Life.
  • If you wanna stay away from the main city in a peaceful surrounding then this is the place to be, it's not that far from the city/airport but really beautiful.

  • Loved my stay! We fed the mini horses, I saw wild kangaroos, enjoyed interesting conversation, loved the big bath tub— comfy and easy all around. Yes!

  • A welcoming and relaxing property and amenities

  • I have just spent 2 nights at Louise's house. It is a great place to chill out and relax in the country surrounded by many wineries to explore and enjoy. The nearest one Murrumbateman Winery is a 15 min walk well worth a visit. Although the room is in the family home which may not suit every traveller you have your own bathroom and lounge area. Louise and her family are very welcoming and hospitable but they also respect your privacy. The bed was so comfortable and there was plenty hot water for the shower/bath. All in all an enjoyable stay.

  • Highly recommend Winterwood. Good value, very clean, comfortable beds, lovely old house, great feel, attentive host. We were happy with everything.

  • Leanne was an unobtrusive and thoughtful host. Because of its age, the cottage was quirky in its layout but this was a positive. The cottage was clean and had good facilities, and Leanne left little touches to make our stay more comfortable. As promised, there was a good pile of wood to last our trip.

  • I am so thankful for the genuine warmth and generosity that my daughter and I received upon arrival from Catherine, Stuart and their family. We have had a harrowing month of bushfires dislocation and our short stay overnight during our long journey back home was a huge comfort. The house was easy to find, parking easy, our dog Chester was welcomed and all communication with the hosts was clear and easy. Fantastic hospitality. Thank you

Cathrine was most helpful with everything we needed to feel comfortable and happy with our three kids and our dog. We are so grateful for their generosity and hospitality. Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
