Aquarium
“One of the best aquariums in the country, the Georgia Aquarium is well worth the visit. Our favorite stop is the dolphin show, which runs on a schedule, so you may want to plan your visit around it. The architecturally magnificent building allows you to explore one of the largest aquariums in the world without making it feel overwhelming. We recommend eating beforehand as the food inside isn’t the best and is pricey. ”

Art Museum
“The High Museum is fun to visit for its architecture as well as its collections. Designed by several world famous Master architects, it is one of the leading art museums in the Southern USA. Located in Midtown, it is a convenient place to start or end your day exploring the city and spend a few hours exploring their varied exhibits and enjoying the wondrous design of the building. It is also notable for being in quite a few movies, including Black Panther and the Divergent movies. We keep going for their special exhibits and enjoy that the second Sunday of each month has free admission for all from 1-4pm and Bank of America account holders can get free admission the first weekend of the month. ”

“Located at Centennial Olympic Park, the World of Coca Cola is one of the most unique stops in a visit to Atlanta. Coca Cola world is a lot of fun and shares some fascinating history about marketing and branding as well as its influence in pop art. It is a haven for soda fans as there is nowhere else you will get to try over a hundred Coke products from around the world. Make sure to come thirsty and prepared for the sugar rush. ”

Park
“We love this serene spot in the center of the city. The north side is more woody, natural and less crowded , a great place to hike. The south side offers a big sports field , BBQ site, dog parks, event meadow and a beautiful lake. There are always so many things happening in the park, but it always has a spot for everyone. ”

Market
“Ponce City Market’s little sibling, Krog Street market is a short walk down the beltline from Ponce and features a number of restaurants and a calmer, less-crowded atmosphere. Specializing as a place for newer concepts and developing restaurants, Krog has been touted as one of the world’s best food halls and you will find the options change frequently and you will always have something new to try. ”

“Little Five Points is one of Atlanta’s hippest neighborhoods. Check out the indie stores for offbeat vintage clothing, vinyl and cool gifts, or hang out at the dive bars lining the streets. The Vortex, for example, is known for their burgers and unique atmosphere. The Variety Playhouse, a live music venue in a converted 1940s cinema, hosts an eclectic range of local and national acts. The Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum is also not too far away and could be worth adding as a stop.”

Garden
“Located at the north end of Piedmont Park, the Botanic gardens are an oasis in the city. With rotating exhibits, the gardens are always updating and changing, providing a fascinating opportunity to come back and enjoy over and over again. The orchid gardens provide an escape from the city into the jungle and a chance to explore a large variety of this unique flower. We like to go for their special events, such as the Chihuly exhibit or the Holiday Nights where they do special art and lighting and open the gardens at night. ”
