A gem of an Airbnb! The hosts truly thought of everything and this was the perfect place to stay with two young kids; in fact, my son loved the bunkbed and toys so much he refused to go to bed every night! From the tonies box and kids toys, to all the beach and baby gear, there wasn’t one thing they lacked. The place was clean and organized and felt so cozy. I highly highly recommend this place, especially for families! The hosts were so friendly and accommodating as well.

Lovely one night stay at this sweet little cottage! Grounds are well-kept, enjoyed morning coffee on the front porch. AC kept it nice and cool. Convenient location close to a great donut shop- Congdon’s and our favorite ice scream spot- Scoop Deck. Chloe is a gracious host and even granted us a late check-out!

Very clean and cute, small cottage. We had 4 adults was a great weekend for a girls trip. We could have used more bath, kitchen towels. Also a sponge and dish soap were missing. But does have a dishwasher. But over all was a great place to stay and hot tub was great too!

Wow! What a beautiful place to stay. We visited all the surrounding cities we came to Maine for. The beds were so comfy! The towels smelled so fresh. The washer and dryer were so nice to have- so thoughtful that detergent was provided! We appreciated all the cute details the cottage had to offer. My girls loved the ride on the golf cart! 10/10 stay. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely place with us!

Very comfortable for my family of 4. Enjoyed all the seafood within a short drive. The shore is beautiful and near by. The pool and jacuzzi were beautiful.

Great clean air bnb. Accurately as described.. looks good in photos but even better in-person. Bed was comfortable. Would rent their properties again.

The house was clean and well maintained. The view was gorgeous, too bad Mother Nature didn’t cooperate. It was cold and rainy. Used the fire pit nightly and it was nice. Linens were clean, towels were soft and fluffy and smelled freshly laundered. Kitchen was spotless and well stocked with pot/pans and dishes. Having a dishwasher was nice too. Two grocery stores (Hannaford and Market Basket) were close by and plenty of restaurants too. We came with the intention of doing nothing and just changing scenery for the weekend. This place was perfect.

We stayed at this property for 6 weeks with our dog and loved it. The neighborhood is gorgeous, walkable, and has the perfect beach for pup play. Owners are on-site, friendly, and quick to respond. The carriage house was very clean and as beautiful as pictured. We would certainly stay here again.

Stayed here for two nights to enjoy the area. Susan was very communicative, proactive, and was flexible with check in. Place matched the photos, great location, lots to do. Will come again to this Airbnb.

This is just a lovely Airbnb. I took my mother for a Mother's Day weekend, and this was a great getaway. It is an easy drive to lots of hotspots in Boston or Salem, but just enough off the beaten path to offer a real lakeside retreat. Ana was incredibly helpful and responsive, and left a lovely welcome gift that Mom really appreciated. The cottage is so pretty, and the views and total relaxation factor are exceptional. Even the dog gives it four paws up!

The cottage is private yet close to a variety of places to visit. I highly recommend staying here! This Airbnb is an absolute hidden gem! It is a peaceful spot surrounded by nature in an convenient location. Inside, it's cozy and feels just like home. It’s very clean, the bed is extremely comfortable, and it’s very quiet. The spacious outdoor area is a dream, offering so many spots to sit with loved ones right by the water, from the fire pit to the dock and deck. The photos don't even begin to capture its beauty. We made lifelong memories in the backyard. The surrounding towns are packed with natural beauty and history, there is so much to do and so many lobster rolls to be eaten (I probably gained a few pounds exploring all the delicious food in Portsmouth). Andrew was an incredibly responsive and helpful host, full of good recs and making the whole experience seamless. The check out process was especially easy compared to some of my recent Airbnb’s, it was really nice being able to check out of an without having to do a laundry list of chores first 😅

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We were in Hampton to attend the Seafood Festival and had wanted to get a place closer to all the action. But this turned out to be better. We liked staying up North where it's quieter and less crowded. And we had two cars so having a driveway was a big plus. It was only 2 miles to the festival (we even walked there along the beach) and after a fun busy day it was nice to go back to the quieter neighborhood. The house was as expected. It is small but that was fine for our purposes. It is decorated nicely and it was clean and comfortable. There were lots of plush bath towels. The beach chairs in the shed and the cozy throws on the porch were useful when we watched the fireworks at the beach at night. The instructions for the house were clear and complete. Brenden was very responsive and helpful . We would definitely stay there again.

Colby was communicating since we booked and answered all our questions. He provided information we didn’t know we needed. The cottage is true to its name, very cozy! Although small and compact, it had everything we needed, the entire layout is meticulously thought out to provide everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. The high bed frames allow for ultimate storage, the coffee station was superb, the hooks on the walls, lighting, and the ample linens and cozy blankets made the mixed cold and warm weather manageable. Myself, my partner (6ft 4inch), and two kiddos all fit perfectly. The high ceilings and shower head helped! The outside covered porch and backyard fire pit provided a haven we needed to get away from the noise. Best of all, the location was unbeatable. One block walking from the beach, on a dead end street away from the noise. My daughter enjoyed riding her bike and scooter on the street when she needed some air. We want to come again soon! This was our second stay at River Rose. We absolutely love how quiet and welcoming it is. Jen makes check in a breeze and communicates well. The cottage has everything you need and the small touches are always thoughtful and tastefully done. We can’t wait to come back.

The view is even more stunning in person! Spent the weekend here with my family and it was breathtaking to say the least. Half of our time was spent just admiring the view because it’s that good. Cozy decor and open floor plan made it easy to settle in and feel right at home. Peaceful private neighborhood with great foliage. Perfect place for getting out on the water in kayaks, making s’mores, stargazing, and creating life long memories. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!!

The cottage is absolutely lovely and Laura and Jean are such warm & thoughtful hosts. The location is great - under 10 minutes by car from beaches & cute downtowns, 5 minutes by car from the excellent Seaside Trolley Museum, and 5 minutes by car from a parking site for the Eastern Trail for running/biking. A perfect destination for a long weekend - we hope to return!
