Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Ruby Bay

Helen Margaret had a lovely home. It was very spacious and well furnished. Kitchen had all the appliances and tools needed to have some home cooked meals. We enjoyed coming home each evening to just relax after a day of adventure. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

This is a fabulous, quiet location (but close to shops etc) for anyone wanting to visit Motueka or the lovely surrounding area. The property has heaps of added extras - we really appreciated having a fully functioning, well-appointed kitchen - plenty of lovely crockery, glasses, decent sized mugs!, pots, pans, mixing and serving bowls, utensils etc. Comfortable beds, lovely dining space plus relaxing lounge. The heat pump plus fire place were a real bonus as it was freezing cold outside during our visit. We are keen to stay again.

Jamie was a wonderful host. She was very informative it was always available if we had any questions. We absolutely loved this place. We had kids with us that loved the chickens and enjoy the patio out back. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed for our stay. very impressed! For us in New Zealand this has been our favorite place to stay! would definitely recommend!

Such an amazing stay. Wonderful things of note: swimming hole in the river, beautiful surroundings, giant bath, amazing stars, cosy fires, really cosy beds and kind and friendly hosts. Thoroughly recommend 😊

A wonderful home in a beautiful location with stunning views. We particularly enjoyed the pool, spa and being able to walk to amazing restaurants and wine bar. Sally and Wayne were friendly helpful hosts. Highly recommend staying

A really cute, quiet little space tucked away down a laneway that’s still very walkable into town. Olivia was super responsive and helpful.

Valerie and Ewan were very friendly and a highlight was their spectacular garden. We were very lucky to be able to help ourselves to the abundant veggie patch. Lots of yummy treats left for us on arrival. Good small supermarket, a couple of pubs and the amazing bakery. We had a very peaceful Xmas/New Year here.

Really nice place to stay, my English work mate said it reminded him of the home he grew up in in the Billericay, England with the style, particularly the living room and kitchen.

We found the Clifftop Retreat cabin suited our needs perfectly and Bob provided an excellent level of communication, service and local tips. He also ensured the pantry and wines were stocked with high quality local products. The accomodation was very good with comfortable bed, terrific functional kitchen and amazing clifftop views of the surrounding bay and local area. The location was perfect for our walking trips up into the Abel Tasman National Park and also fantastic local restaurants and wineries. Bob also organised a pick up from the airport for us as we arrived late at night. Overall a fantastic stay and would certainly recommend Clifftop Retreats very highly.

We loved our stay. The house was beautiful and we felt right at home. It had everything that we needed and was located close to town. We would love to stay here again the next time we’re in Nelson!

We had a great time staying here. The place is huge and very cozy! It’s a real hidden gem and definitely worth the money. It’s super clean the kitchen was well equipped, the bed was comfortable and it’s very bright inside during the day which was nice. The living area was perfect to just relax in and have a movie night! Heather is very nice, gave us clear instructions and responded quickly. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great place to stay. We were a group of 9 and we all had plenty of space. The location is a short walk to a Four Square and the Māpua wharf where there are plenty of eateries to choose from and lovely artisan and gift stores. Jane was a great host who communicated well and provided local recommendations. Would happily stay here again.

It is a lovely house equipped with everything needed for a family vacation. We had an incredible time, highly recommended.

It felt like home very quickly. Comfy beds. Beautiful period rural house in a large garden with mature trees. Easy to find a quiet spot under a tree to read a book. Plenty of parking. A good kitchen and laundry. Fresh plums and heaps more in a welcome hamper. The cats were adorable. They called by for some food and a pat a few times a day and then disappeared into the garden. Too many pluses to mention (and we stay in a lot of airbnbs). Negatives which are hardly worth mentioning would be road noise - not too bad and you don't notice it after day 1 - and the kitchen knives were not terribly sharp.

Very well equipped house for a family holiday, had everything we needed. Gorgeous location close to beach, national park and the shops we needed. All 7 of us had a great stay!

Fantastic historical home in a quiet area, walking distance to many parks, restaurants, and shops. Clean and comfortable and full of character. Everything you need for a lovely stay plus some special touches that really made it feel like a home away from home. Cozy bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, and lovely outdoor areas to enjoy too. Perfect base for exploring Nelson!

Our stay at Diane’s place was fantastic. The home is beautiful, very cute and had everything we needed. Diane is super responsive, helpful and friendly. Couldn’t recommend more.
