The space
Welcome to Pyrgos 1750'Cavehouse!
My family acquired this house back in 1979 when Santorini was considered to be “terra incognita”. My best summers, my most vivid memories are connected to this house. I can still recall how eager I was to finish school and get there for our summer holidays...
It would be my pleasure to spend your holidays there, to have fun and to enjoy…
To feel the way I do…

Recharge at Pyrgos 1750'Cavehouse, an old authentic Cycladic home in the Castle of the medieval village of Pyrgos, which offers panoramic views over the Aegean Sea and the Kamari village.
Elegantly simple, though fully equipped with everything that you migh need for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, kitchen utensils, boiler, coffee machine, blender, espresso machine, dishes and cookware.
There is also a washing machine, steam iron, hairdryers, towels, bed linens and cotton blankets, soap, shampoo, etc., everything at your disposal. The house is sunny in the morning (there is an umbrella) and cool in the evening.
Forming part of the Castle, this old house is situated at the highest point of the settlement, about a 6'-8' walk from Pyrgos Central Square.

Location

Pyrgos Kallistis, Santorini, Cyclades, Greece

Pyrgos is an inland settlement, located at the highest point of Santorini. It is the only "untouched" village of the island, especially the Castle area (Kasteli) at the top of the hill, is under the supervision of the Archeological Service and is protected as a Traditional Settlement.

Cars stop at the central square. From that point, where cars cannot go any further, you will have to walk for about 6'-8' to get to the house.

During your stay
Pyrgos village is the perfect example of Cycladic architecture with narrow cobblestone pathways, and, because of this unique structure, there are no addresses or street names.

The meeting point will be at Pyrgos Central square. Once you get there, from the airport or the Port, Fotini will be waiting for you there, to accompany you to the house, show you around and give you the keys. Along with Fotini, there will be definitely someone to help you with your luggage!
