Antoine, thanks for your review. We sincerely apologise for disturbance due to the construction - you absolutely should not have had to deal with that and we will be taking it up with the builder - it is a pity because they have been brilliant up to now.
The annual Esala Festival is a significant Buddhist event that brings in thousands for markets, ceremonies and the perehara (parade). It's certainly a lively event and we are happy to be back up on the hill rather than down on the beach where all the action is! To be honest we enjoy the festive air, but understand that it may not appeal to everyone, so following your comment have added a notification about the festival and its potential for disturbance in our listing. We are sorry it impacted your stay and thank you for your constructive feedback.
