The space
Welcome to our peaceful and roomy one-bedroom cottage, perfectly located in the heart of Seatoun — one of Wellington’s most beautiful seaside suburbs. Just 100 metres from local cafés, shops, and the beach, and close to stunning coastal walks, it’s a great base whether you’re here for work, visiting family, or between homes.

This isn’t a studio — you’ll have a separate bedroom, bathroom, full kitchen, and a spacious living area with plenty of room to stretch out and unwind. The cottage is surrounded by greenery, creating a sense of calm and privacy. Enjoy your morning coffee on the sunny front deck, or relax out back in the private garden with seating and a washing line.

Set well back from the road, the cottage is quiet and perfect for a restful night’s sleep. It’s warm, well insulated, and fully equipped for longer stays — including its own washing machine and fast, reliable Wi-Fi.

We’re close to the airport but separated by a hill, so there’s little flight noise. It’s a scenic 15-minute drive into the city along the coast, or an easy bus ride with the nearest stop just 100 metres away.

We’ve kept the cottage deliberately affordable to provide a comfortable, self-contained option for people looking for longer-term or short-term stays with a bit of space, peace, and character.

Guest access
The cottage is located behind our main house in Seatoun, set back from the road and surrounded by greenery. Guests have full access to the entire cottage which is not shared with anyone else - including the separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living area, sunny front deck, and private garden with outdoor seating and washing line.

Seatoun is a beautiful seaside suburb of Wellington. The village is 200m away with a great cafe, small pub with excellent craft beer, mini supermarket, a good fish and chips shop, hairdresser and stationery shop. The beach is a two minute stroll down a tree-lined street. There are excellent walks in the area, including the well know Eastern Walkway.

The neighbouring suburb of Miramar hosts the Weta cave (5 minutes drive or a 25 minute walk), the Roxy Cinema and a whole host of cafes and bars.

The CBD is a 15 minute drive, about 25 minutes in the bus (direct connection with a stop about 100m away) or 20 minutes by ferry.
