Linda's studio apartment was delightful, very comfortable and excellent value for money.
Located in a gleaming, marble and glass adorned building, the unit is bright and spacious with the added benefit of a large balcony, a full-size dine-in kitchen and strong wi-fi signal.
Both business and leisure travellers will likely be thrilled by the presence of a large branch of a well-known local grocery chain (Choithrams) on the ground floor just past the lobby/security desk. The store is open 24/7, has a bakery, a Tim Hortons coffee bar, freshly prepared hot and cold food and anything else that one could possibly need.
For those arriving by or using a car during their stay in Dubai, Linda is able to offer the use of her private parking bay in the underground garage - which also gives direct lift access to all floors of the building.
With regard to public transportation, it is very straightforward and easy to get to Jumeirah Lake Towers (the nearest subway stop to the property) from the airport. Essentially, you get on the subway at the airport and get off at JLT. There is a taxi rank of sorts right outside the subway and it is 5 minute drive to the apartment. Just be aware though that certain carriages of the mass transit trains are designated as "female only". Men who knowingly or inadvertently flout the gender rules face the prospect of significant fines.
In conclusion, Linda's studio apartment offers - at her current price point - what is arguably, the best deal in Dubai.
