Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Newly refurbished, luxury cottage in a unique setting midway between iconic Loch Ness and the City of Inverness ( 5 minutes either way) This luxury cottage sits in the middle of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location has extensive, fully fenced gardens offering direct access to and beautiful views of the hill and woods and is yet only minutes from all the amenities of a major town and the wilderness of the Highlands. The hot tub is now up and running.

The space
This very secluded cottage is set in a large, fully fenced garden with direct access and beautiful views and walks on to the hill and forest. The outdoor space also has plenty of seating and dining areas with a fire pit, bbq and wood fired hot tub. Decking and pagoda are being added to the Hot tub area in Mid November but it is already up and running. Please note that this is a working farm so there is often livestock around in addition to a plethora of wildlife including deer, pine martins, red squirrels and birds of all description.

Up to two dogs are welcome, but please keep in mind the wildlife - so keep gates shut. I have supplied an eco dog poo composter in the ground by the shed so please use the supplied poo picker and put in the dog loo.

The cosy sitting room has a wood burning stove, books, games and TV with free view, netflix, amazon prime etc. It also has beautiful views both sides of the room.

The extensive kitchen/diner is fully equipped with an integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, electric oven and every amenity you could wish for. The dining section has a table with seating for up to 5 and has an electric wood burner and a sound docking system.

There is a separate Utility room complete with integrated washing machine and tumble dryer, out door equipment and plenty of storage.

Two comfortable bedrooms with King sized beds - ONE OF THESE ZIP & LINK CAN BE DIVIDED INTO 2 SINGLES, as required. Both bedrooms have direct access outside via french windows and have their own seating areas.

All linen and bedding is high quality Egyptian cotton from Tielle Loves Luxury as recommended by House and Garden Magazine and Country Life and is also used by many 5* hotels. The bedding is hypoallergenic

By request and by separate arrangement we can also provide a cot or small child's bed.

All soaps and shampoos are organic and sourced from the Highland Soap Company.

There is one large shower room and one large bathroom with a beautiful view to the hills.

I have supplied a comprehensive house manual in which you will also find suggestions for day trips, visitor attractions, shops, restaurants etc - in addition I have also included all the required emergency numbers that you might need during your stay.

The cottage is exactly midway between the city of Inverness and iconic Loch Ness (5 minutes either way) and despite its remote location is only 25 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the nearest train station. Local pubs, restaurants and shops are a 5 minute drive away. This will take you into Inverness or up to Dochgarroch which is the gateway to Loch Ness. Jacobite cruises depart from Dochgarroch up the Loch several times a day and you will find there the award winning An Talla shop and restaurant. A short 10 minute drive into town on the same road will take you to another award winning, but affordable, restaurant, The Rocpool. Nearby you will be able to rock and party at Jonny Foxes and Hootenanny to name but two of Inverness's live music venues. There are of course 100s of restaurants to choose from in Inverness offering a wide range of local and international cuisine. There are several famous golf courses within a ½ hour drive and of course the area abounds with historic castles, whiskey distilleries and fabulous walks and cycle paths not only along the canal, but also on the Great Glen Way which runs behind the property. Canoeing, leisure cruises, horse riding and many other amenities are also right on the doorstep. In addition, to the more retail minded, woollen mills, tweed and cashmere shops are all over the area. The house is an ideal point to explore the rest of the Highlands and Islands
