Located in the heart of Zennor, the Postbox is an easy distance to both St Ives and Penzance and with slightly more coastal road patience, onward to St Just and beyond.

Named the Postbox for it's size, this compact little room provides the perfect space for those travelling light - solo or couples - walkers, climbers, cyclists & bikers, easy 'all weather' folk!

A stones throw from the Tinner's Arms, a saunter to the Moomaid Cafe, minutes from the bus stop and public footpaths a go go.

The space
This compact little space is light and bright situated in both a designated Area of Outstanding Beauty and a World Heritage Site. Perfectly positioned on the North Coast of far West Cornwall, with easy access to the South, discover ancient sites and archaeology, moorland, rugged cliffs, tropical gardens, art galleries, beaches and seascapes.

Both the shower room and mini kitchen provide easy and neat essentials and the window provides a stool seated look out. South West facing onto the village road. Which can be busy through out the day but beautifully quiet at night. The sun rises to the back of the property and benefits from full sun, when out! From midday ish onwards.

If you wish to sit outside, happy to provide outdoor seating which must be put away when not in use.

Kettle, microwave, mini fridge and toaster provide easy options to eating out. Salt, pepper, olive oil and white wine vinegar to hand.

Tea bags, loose leaf tea, instant coffee ( for the real stuff, head to Moomaid ) hot chocolate and sugar provided. For ease, you'll find 1pt of Trewithen Dairy semi-skimmed milk in the fridge.

The sofa bed neatly folds away with a memory foam mattress. The duvet and pillows are wool filled, from The Wool Room and the bed linen 100% organic cotton. Waffle towel and hand towel also 100% organic cotton.

A folding foot stool provided to store bedding and light other, such as bags on top of the shower room.

We are not on mains drainage and therefore kindly ask, that guests take this into consideration when using the loo and general water usage. As tempting as it is to take long showers, please note the 4minute timer - thank you!

You’ll find BIO-D non fragranced sanitising hand wash in both kitchen and bathroom ceramic dispensers.

Ethical BIO-D cleaning products are used throughout, including laundry liquid.

Where you’ll be

St Ives, England, United Kingdom

Zennor is a pretty little village tucked away on one of the most scenic roads in the UK on the north Cornish coast between St Ives & St Just and recognised by many, for its mermaid tales and literary masters.

If being out and about with nature is all you're after, either by foot or by car, perfectly situated. Head east to St Ives and west to the village of St Just & onto Land's End and around to Sennen, to the south coast - Porthcurno, Mousehole, Newlyn and Penzance.

The Moomaid cafe an easy stroll, perfect for breakfasts, morning coffee, and delicious ice cream. Home made cakes for afternoon tea and deli essentials. Opens at 9:00am…

Tucked away behind the cafe, you'll discover the Zennor Wayside gift shop and gallery - masters of laser cutting!

Tinner's Arms a stone's throw and a 5 minute drive or indeed a longer walk, depending on your pace, you'll find the Gurnard's Head. Both enjoy lovely beer gardens.

The village church, St Senara, makes for a peaceful visit with the famous carving from medieval times, of a mermaid on the pew end and Zennor point a close by and beautiful coastal look out…

Happy being social though equally content being quiet.

During your stay

I'm either at the desk, gardening or walking so should you need to be in touch, I'm quietly around and very happy to help.

I live here full time and my son is away at college, returning during holidays. I work for myself from home at the back of the cottage.

Just so you're aware, the path to the side of the postbox is in constant use as this provides access to the back garden, also the main entrance for the cats, to the back door. We won't ever walk directly in front of the Postbox window and only access the side from the road.
