Where you’ll be

Herne Hill, Victoria, Australia

Close to Geelong’s CBD & an Ideal jump off location for The Great Ocean Road, You Yangs, Otway Rainforest exploring Geelong, Surfcoast & The Bellarine Peninsula or just needing a place to stay while working away from home.

Conveniently located at the top end of Church Street in Herne Hill and one street back from spectacular sunsets & overlooking the Moorabool river, market gardens, and the surrounding hills.
Our quiet and established neighbourhood is dotted with walking tracks and is a short distance to Fyansford Common, Moorabool River Reserve & the Geelong Ring Road.

It’s 5km to the Geelong Waterfront & town centre and only 2.5kms to the renowned Pakington Street.
Within walking distance we have Provenance Winery, the historic Fyansford Hotel, Truffleduck, Vallis IGA supermarket, takeaway food outlets, 3 cafes, a pharmacy, post office, and 2 bottle-O’s. Coles, Woolies and Aldi are all on Shannon Avenue and just 5 minutes by car.

The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race (cycling) carves through nearby Minerva Rd without affecting access to our property.

If you're keen to jump on your bike to explore, you can park it securely next to the pod and take one of the many bike paths. A bike path runs along the Barwon River, starting from the Fyansford Common, it will take you on a stunning 20km riverside circuit if you complete the whole thing, or you can park up at the Barwon Edge Boathouse for coffee or lunch.

Should you like to kayak or SUP the Barwon River is picturesque and
has a number of launch areas.
Queens Park, Torquay & Barwon Heads all have golf courses, why not pack your clubs & have a hit?

The Route 25 bus stop is on McCurdy Rd (Bakewell stop), its only 50 metres away and the “milk bar” only 80 metres. Minerva Road & Vines Road strip shops are walking distance. The Geelong ring road is easily accessed from either Hamilton Hwy or Ballarat Rd, take your pick, we are smack in the middle!

I present our beach house how I would like to find it, carefully cleaned and stocked with just what you need for a break (minus the food)

The Little Garden Pod is my latest Air BnB property, hosted since July 2021. I take great pride in presenting a spotlessly clean & welcoming home away from home for my guests.
