Other things to note
Please make sure to have an airbnb profile setup prior to requesting a stay.
We have a special rate for guests at Spa Adagio which is less than 4 blocks away and personally highly recommend. $68 massage (regularly $83) or $138 per couple in The Suite (regularly $166). If interested - let us know and we will provide promo code once your reservation is complete with us.
I don't remember exactly how we came up with the name "The Notel" over 14 years ago, but I know at the time we thought it was funny and it stuck. The name, by no means however, insinuates that we are seeking, encouraging or willing to tolerate nefarious behavior.
If you are eating in the room, please keep crumbs to a minimum as city pests are shrewd opportunists. Leftover food items should be disposed of in the trash cans behind the sauna instead of leaving them in the trash receptacles in the space. We request that you recycle. Wash out containers or secure with lid and store in basket provided. Once full, please empty the basket into the recycling container next to trash can behind the sauna.
Please hang the bathroom rug on the tub after use so that it can dry. Also - always use the fan when using the tub so that the room gets air circulation.
When coming and going, please lock both the Notel9 door as well as the sally port door (sally port is the name of the passage way from the street). Please do not bring people home with you and no smoking in the room. Please treat the space, and its furnishings with TLC. Also - there is a tenant who lives in the main house, so be respectful with the noise level.
When you "check out", please place all used towels in the tub, put recyclables in recycling container behind the sauna, and all dirty dishes in the basket. Please also unplug the electric kettle and small space heater. Don't worry about making the bed as we will be strip the bed to wash sheets.

Although quite the globetrotter up through my mid thirties, when I moved to Baltimore, I began putting down roots while working on a Masters in Social Work. For the past 16 years, I have dedicated my time and energy to home renovations, community organizing, volunteering for Upper Fells Point Improvement Association and social work with women victims of domestic violence, the Latino immigrant community and now in education. I am married to Joe, an amazing artist, and we spend a lot of time putting his creative talent and our personal touches into a couple of old houses here in B-More which we rent out. We love to b-bop around the city, listening to live music and going out for dinner with friends. No kids but there is the amazing canine, Izzy, and feisty feline, Louie.
