Belukar was built in 2014 and is located in the peaceful coconut fields of Gili Trawangan. We have 14 luxury rooms and a restaurant providing a range of meals, snacks, tapas and drinks, all set around a 25m swimming pool.

In recent years numerous travel books, guides and newspaper supplements have sung Gili Trawangan’s praises. Indeed, many have given the small island a “must visit” recommendation and still regard it as Indonesia’s best kept secret...a paradise only a short distance from the more strident and crowded Bali.

The writers all acknowledge the charming appeal of an archetypal tropical coral island with bath-warm seas, teeming with turtles and a fabulous array of colourful tropical fish. But they also recognise the modernisation which has brought the island the amenities and facilities now deemed essential for an outstanding modern holiday whilst still resisting motorised transport of any sort.

On Gili Trawangan the new now sits easily alongside the traditional. Unchanged Indonesian village life, local markets, and cattle grazing in shaded palm groves coexist with international restaurants, cafes and bars with vibrant nightlife, ATMs, craft shops and the watersports and other activities which give Gili Trawangan its extra dimension and attraction. Gili Trawangan may be known as a “party island” but retains the opportunity for nature and tranquillity too.
