Her host,
as a trained herbalist, I have adapted theoretical and practical knowledge about native wild herbs, which I would also like to share with interested guests of my holiday apartment. That's why I offer the following workshops:
1. Making natural cosmetics
- Making bath chocolates, salves and humidity creams with seasonal wild herbs from my garden
- Make your own herbal architecture - Make
herbal oil puller yourself
2. Herbs in the kitchen
- Cooking a wild herbal
salad - Cooking the "Wild Pizza"
- pickled wild herbs with sheep's cheese
- Herbal tea making - Herbal
salt making
3. Wild herb walks in and around Ueckermünde
4. Kids and Wild Herbs
As a trained educator, work with children is very important to me. I have set the goal of communicating children with old herb knowledge, but also traditional myths about plants.
- So simple is"buttern" !
- Making wild herb butter
- Making of wild
herb quark - Summer drink with
colacraut Depending on the telephone arrangement, I offer the relevant workshop. I ask for your understanding if not all workshops can be offered at all times due to seasonality. There may also be suggestions on your part.
There is also the possibility to make beautiful coasters in the neighboring house with a hobby potter or to glass your own cup. However, you will be asked to sign up early.

Where you’ll be

Ueckermünde, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany

The small, lovingly restored old town invites you to stroll through various cafes, restaurants and shops. Large and small sailing ships can be admired at the port of Ueckermünde. A visit to the new children's playground makes every child's heart beat faster. Whether baking fish or fish rolls, both are part of the harbour visit. From here it is also possible to take a boat trip to Usedom or Swinemünde.
The Ueckermünder Strand can be reached by car, but also wonderfully by bike. Along the beach path are carved wooden fairy-tale tree figures. The beach hall and its park have been lovingly restored in the style of the 20s. The sandy beach with its beach chairs invites you to sunbathe. Here are also 2 smaller children's playgrounds. Part of the beach is monitored by the DLRG. Flat water and shallow waves offer especially younger children a lot of bathing fun.
About 5 minutes from the property is the famous Ueckermünde Zoo, which is located far beyond the city limits. Exotic, but also native animals and much more, make a visit to another highlight.
Not far from the zoo is the climbing forest, which is both challenging and child-friendly.
Ueckermünde is surrounded by idyllic villages, lots of forest, large fields and heathland. Hiking and cycling trails are well developed.
