The space
“Fellowhouse” is located in historical neighborhood Boston Edison, quiet tree lined street, yet very close to all the fun Detroit has to offer (8mins drive to Midtown for Museums, concerts etc, and Dowtown for sports, bars, convention centers..)

It was built in 1917, home of the famous cigars manufacter Bernard Swartz).
I bought it in 2015, renovated it from basement to roof, and I am happy to share it’s lovely architectural details mixed with European style and comfort (I am French) with you.
The house has an open floor plan on first floor, huge living room with original fireplace, family room with 65’ screen smart tv, beautiful dining room, cosy kitchen, half bathroom.
Orientation East/South/West, huge windows, sunny all day long. Beautiful maple tree in front of the house.
Second floor offers 4 very comfortable bedrooms, one full bathroom, one half bathroom. The master bedroom has a king size incredibly comfy bed and cute half bath. The en-suite red/grey double room has it s own Sony tv.

3 toilets: 1 on first floor, 2 on second floor.

Second floor laundry with washer and dryer.

I am waiting for spring to seed new lawn and build garage. In the meantime you can park safely in the newly fenced yard, on the driveway.

This house is not a professional rental, it is my home when I am in Detroit (I am a historian and a novelist, I live part time in Paris, part time in Detroit). It is beautiful, very comfortable, with a lot of personality. I love it and hope you will take very good care of it.

Please no jumping/eating/sleeping on the couches. Nothing warm on the dining table (use sets). No metal in the microwave.

I keep my personal things in the butler s pantry. Please don t open the butler s pantry closets, everything you need you will find in the kitchen s closets. I always leave pasta, rice, tea etc in the kitchen. Help yourself if but please replace.

“Fellowhouse” is “no shoes in”. Please respect that...you will find 6 pairs of flippers by the door!

Guest access
You can access first and second floor, and the fenced backyard.

Other things to note
No shoes in. No smoking. No partying. No eating/drinking in the living room/family room/bedrooms. Please respect the rules.
