This cabin is located on and rented by Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort. In the 1960's my great grandpa was able to buy this ranch and began sharing it with people from all over the world. With thousands of acres bordering on the east side of Zion National Park its hard to put into words the setting. Come enjoy our property as others have for decades. Explore Zion, take Canyoneering adventure or enjoy a Jeep Tour to some of southern Utah's most incredible views. Enjoy our pool and free breakfast too!

The space
This Cowboy Cabin is offered by the family owned resort Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort. This is a one room cabin that provides a rustic setting and memorable experience beyond the typical hotel room. Really, when is the last time you stayed in a log cabin? Its probably been too long. Experience Zion and the great outdoors the way it is supposed to be!
This cabin is simply one room which includes a queen over queen bunk bed. There is also a queen pull out sofa bed. Cabins have a fan and base board heaters. Outside of each cabin is a outdoor picnic table, fire pit with grill grate for cooking and a couple of porch chairs. Bathroom access is at the near by shower house which is located central to other similar lodging types without attached bathrooms. There are private closed door shower rooms and large public bathrooms at this shower house.
The resort in general will provide to you a feeling of family friendly and relaxed atmosphere. For decades my family has been gathering at the ranch. Most of us spent our days building forts, catching lizards and exploring the canyons around. Today we try to invite a feeling where others can enjoy some of what we always have. We provide many great options for fun recreation. Some of the activities available include, pools, hot tubs, rock wall climbing, canyoneering, ziplining, jeep tours, horseback rides, guided hikes in Zion, paint balling, bunjee trampoline, skeet shooting, mini golf, pond paddle boards, basketball, tennis, pickle ball courts and dutch oven wagon ride dinners.

When asked about what makes our area truly so special it is easy to say Zion National Park. What I would hope you find is that there is so much more to our area then just the main stream visit to Zion Canyon. Here are some of my personal favorites. Here on the east side of the park we are a little farther from the visitor center of the park, but has its major benefits. As a local if I was planning my own trip to explore Zion it would first start with finding a place to book on the east side. There is access to more "secret" hikes that are not in the main stream crowded areas of the park. Two hikes I could recommend to any hiker are Observation Point (top out version, not bottom up) and Cable Mountain. Each of these have trailheads that start just a couple miles from the cabin. Being on the resort property means you will meet other guests also enjoying the area from all over the world. Best place to eat is of course at one of the several dining options on the resort property. The main restaurant is called Rays and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Your breakfast is included with your stay. They have other options such as coffee bar, and seasonal offerings. Also many recreational adventures are available for booking right on property. My top recommendations are a guided Canyoneering trip, and a East Zion Jeep Tour. Truly some unforgettable experiences to be had. For many they are once in a life time and not to be missed. Book ahead of time as they do fill up.
