Take a trip into the woods and relish in nature at our Rustic Brown Bungalow. The bungalow is located in the woods but is conveniently located close to (5 mins) the interstate, shops, and grocery stores. It is fully equipped with a full kitchen, two bedrooms, a bathroom, a front porch overlooking the neighboring pasture, an outdoor fire pit, and toasty gas logs. Enjoy a coffee or local craft beer while unplugging from everyday life and listening to the native wildlife.

The space
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE SECTION BEFORE BOOKING:

Our bungalow is approximately 700 sqft and fully furnished with all the essentials to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. We use soft linens and towels and also provide a hair dryer. The full kitchen is stocked with a selection of coffee and tea, and basic cooking ingredients and includes an array of dishes, cookware, utensils, and a microwave.
The master bedroom boasts a beautiful view of the woods, with two window walls and a queen bed. The secondary bedroom is furnished with a heavenly double bed. The bathroom is shared between the bedrooms and offers a clawfoot vintage tub with a shower. Due to the nature of the tub/shower - we must have shower curtain liners to keep water in. The shower is still very functional, but some may feel the space to be tight. Please keep this in mind.

Come experience this rustic bungalow hideaway with family or friends and sip on coffee or a craft beer on the porch while listening to the birds, or snuggle up on the sofa in front of the gas fireplace with your pup and a good book. There is also a natural wood-burning fire pit that is wonderful for the cooler months. Spend your evenings listening to the wildlife while enjoying a roasted marshmallow.

The bungalow has a central furnace for the wintertime as well as a gas fireplace (ventless). In the summer there is a window AC unit in the living room and fans in the bedrooms. While the AC is centrally located, it is recommended that you leave bedroom doors open to help cool air circulate. There is no central AC.

Our bungalow is also equipped with unlimited wifi (200mbps) and streaming apps such as Netflix for your enjoyment.

The driveway up to the bungalow is a typical rugged mountain road. It is on an incline and is asphalt and gravel. We recommend guests visiting bring an adequate vehicle when staying at the bungalow. AWD and 4WD are not required in the warm months but are certainly recommended in the winter months - especially when there is snow.

Please be aware that our bungalow is 80 years old, and while have done and continue to do our best to preserve and maintain its originality, it does show some age in areas. If you book with us, expect to see some charming character and historic aging. The bungalow is also set in the woods, and while we make it a top priority to control the insects and bugs (with professional pest control services), there is a chance that you may see one during your stay. Please be sure that you are comfortable with all of these things before deciding to book with us.

***$30 DOG FEE PER DOG! Dog fees are requested separately and charged just before arrival. We DO NOT include our dog fee(s) in guests Airbnb accommodation total.

We allow up to 2 dogs and ask that all dogs be up to date on vaccines and tick and flea preventative. Dogs MUST be crated when you are not with them in the Brown Bungalow. No exceptions.

*Automatic $100 charge for any pet damage found after guests' departure.

We are 5 minutes from downtown Weaverville. There's a Publix, Ingles, Wal-Mart, nature walking trails and a range of casual to fine dining restaurants all within 10 minutes.

Asheville is 15 minutes away and also offers a plethora of additional dining options and entertainment activites.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is a short 20 minute drive from the bungalow with plenty of hiking a lookout points.
