Welcome to Moor Cottage, A beautifully presented 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom end terrace house in Bishop Auckland, County Durham. The property has three bedrooms and a double sofa bed sleeping 5 adult guests. The house has a number of communal areas ideal for families or groups of friends looking to enjoy the area or for contractors looking for a comfortable base to relax when working in the region.
The space
The property has been recently refurbished and makes an exceptional place to stay and explore all that beautiful County Durham has to offer.
Communal areas are plentiful and our south facing garden is a real sun trap, catching the sun until late afternoon. The Garden includes use of a pizza oven and garden room.
The main living area is open plan with a sitting area for sharing quality time together as a family, whether that be playing one of the house board games or enjoying popcorn and your favourite movie on Netflix. The sitting area leads onto to a dining area with extendable dining table seating up to 8 people.
The kitchen comes equipped with a full array of utensils, dinner sets, drinking glasses and cutlery. It has refrigerator/freezer; microwave; range oven; hob; and washer/dryer machine. You will also find a kettle and toaster, as well as a coffee machine. In the cupboards you will also find a hand mixer and hand blender.
Venturing upstairs, you’ll find the home’s three bedrooms. The first is the master suite with King sized bed ,room for a travel cot if needed and en-suite facilities. The second has a king bed that can be easily split into twin bed to fit your requirements; and the third bedroom is a single. There is lots of storage in the bedroom to store your luggage. There is also a double sofa bed available in the living room to sleep another 2 guests
Bishop Auckland is known as the gateway to Weardale which has many beautiful cycling and walking paths and is known for having numerous market towns to enjoy. There are also many local attractions close by including: Kyren (2.3miles), Auckland Castle (2 miles), Binchester Roman Fort (2.9 miles), Shildon Railway Museum (4.9 miles), Hamsterley Forest (13.5miles), Durham Cathedral (14 miles) Raby Castle (7.2miles) and Beamish the living Museum of the north (25.5 miles).

We are delighted to give all our guests full and exclusive use of the house for the duration of their booking.
The property has off road parking for 2 vehicles in a private car park to the rear.
A welcome pack will be provided complementary containing necessities and bedding, towels and WIFI will be provided for use during your stay.

Guests are free to use the whole house however please note that when booking the property if guests sleep in more beds than people booked the additional guest charges will be applied.
Other things to note
No parties or events should be held in the house. Please find somewhere else if you’re planning something big and noisy.
Please note this house is located in a residential area, so for the sake of our neighbours, we politely ask all guests to keep the noise down at all times, but especially between 10PM and 7AM.
We do not allow pets at Moor Cottage.
