Let's have a great experience in My grandmother's house! It is the way you stay nice and the local's life in Kyoto. It is easy to transfer from Kyoto Station and it takes 2 mins by walk from the nearest station. It is convenient you go around sightseeing in Kyoto! This is the perfect place for your stay in Kyoto.

The space
This house is traditional Japanese house which is really close from the station.
The house is 2 stores.there are 3bed rooms(included one of Japanese style room) and one living room with kitchen.
It just renovated 2014.
So it's totally clean even if it's traditional style of Japanese.
I'm sure you can enjoy Japanese taste in comfortable.

This house is originally 80 years old Machi-ya(Japanese traditional wooden townhouses). Many families had lived since 1930 since this house was made.
If you are looking for a traditional Kyoto style accommodation, this is your place.
You can enjoy an authentic Japanese atmosphere in this house.

7 elements which I certainly recommend to you!!

1. Cozy Japanese traditional style house which was loved by my grand mother.
Wooden townhouse of Kyoto that does not change from past.
I redecorated the house which my grandmother lived in. It has the history of 80 years.
Here, you can experience the true Japanese culture.

2. Convenience and comfort
It takes only 2-minutes by walk from the nearest station(JR Hanazono Station).
It's about 10 minutes from Kyoto station to Hanazonio station by JR train.

I don't recommend to stay in downtown.because Kyoto downtown is east of Kyoto where is far from any stations.if you book a hotels or guest house in downtown, you may have to walk for a long time with a big luggage.
It must make you tired.

3. Temple and Shrine
Myoshin-ji Temple(妙心寺)which is the biggest in Japan Zen temple is near by the house.
It takes only 1 minute by walk.
The ceiling picture of a big dragon is in Myoshin-ji Temple.
It's the one of the most famous thing in Kyoto.
The Taizou-in Temple(退蔵院) is also in Myoshin-ji Temple. The Japanese garden is a very beautiful weeping cherry tree in spring.

In addition,Hou-Kongou-in temple(法金剛院) is famous for the lotus which is beautiful. That's why we call it the temple of the flower.
It was built by the aristocratic1,000 years ago.
You can also go to Kinkaku-ji Temple(金閣寺), Ninna-Ji Temple(仁和寺), Ryoan-j Templei (竜安寺) which is world heritages by walk!

There are many special historical place near the house which you must visit in Kyoto.

4. About the Hanazono station
There are many place to get lunch and dinner(Cafe, Restaurant,Convenience store and Super market and so on).
For example,Yakitori chicken, Yakiniku BBQ , Gyuudon beef bowl,Tonkatsu pork cutlet, Curry rice,Udon,Soba and so on.
It's not only Japanese food but also Italian food and Chinese food.
In addition, there are Big supermarket and 100-yen shop,Bookstore, Appliance store, Drugstore,Hospital. You can get any souvenirs in near the house!

The house is very convenience because of just in front of the station.
It's not downtown.
So it all good price.

Special recommendation is the Taketori which is the next door it,a fresh chicken (Yakitori)restaurant with good drink.
The staff is very friendly and price is perfect!

5. Please feel realistic Kyoto
You can feel like you LIVE in Kyoto in here.many Japanese who live in Kyoto use those restaurant and store.
It's not like downtown.
Actually downtown is almost for tourist in Kyoto.
So everything is expensive and i can't say everything is nice.Even if you stand in long line for lunch which in the guide book, sometime it's not very nice restaurant.
This area is not downtown.
So you don't need to wait for eat good food as downtown. And also it's not crowded with tourists.
That's why it's perfect for long stay.
We call this aria for Hanazono. That mean is paradise.Originally this aria was governed by noble 1,200 years ago.
Now days there are common place where is many traditional Japanese house.
Actually it the real Kyoto landscape for now.

6. Any family is welcomed!!
The house has all necessary facilities.
2 bedrooms and 1 large Japanese style room.Max10 people can stay in this house.

There is a Mac available.And of course,it's available Wi-Fi.
Shower, hot tub and ToTo washlet is good standard.(with warm water)
There is a washing machine is in the small artium-garden.And a line for drying your cloth.(usually Japanese don't use drying machine for the cloth after washing machine. We just dry under the sun)try it as Japanese!
