A generously spacious property with two AIR CONDITIONED bedrooms that
can accommodate up to 11 guests, located in a quiet, peaceful and safe neighborhood in the town center of Laoag City. Our property is also near local restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores and bus terminals.

The space
Built in the late 1940s, our ancestral home is of the locally popular post-war architecture style, but has been updated over the years and just recently been renovated for short term rental on AirBNB.

The Garden

Despite being in the town centre, our property is generously spacious with a tidy lawn and two big 80-year old Spanish mango trees that provide cool shade throughout the day. Our garden also includes a paved dining area where guests can enjoy dining outdoors. Underneath our mango trees is a woven 'Ratan' hammock where guests can relax with a book or simply take a nap in.

Bedroom 1

- sleeps 6 people
- 3 Double sized beds
- 1 split type AC unit
- 6 individual boxes for storage

Our newly renovated bedroom is equipped with a split type air conditioning unit and is surrounded by big windows that let in plenty of natural light during the day. The beds made of sturdy wood 110cm x 191 cm in size can comfortably sleep 2 people.

Bedroom 2

- Sleeps up to 5 people
- 2 double beds, 1 floor mattress
- 1 AC unit

Kitchen

Our small kitchen is equipped with basic utensils, refrigerator & an electric kettle. Unfortunately we don't allow our guests to cook because of past incidents (fire hazard) but we do serve authentic Ilocano meals for our guests upon request.

Bathroom

Where you’ll be

Lungsod ng Laoag, Rehiyong Ilocos, Philippines

Our neighborhood is relatively quiet despite being in the town centre. Being an ancestral home, the residents on the block are families who dwelled here since the 1900s and our families have known each other for generations. We have always maintained a peaceful and respectful neighborhood.

I am a mother of 4 and have a career in community development. I also manage the Salvador's ancestral home in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines which is exclusively listed here on AirBNB.

The Salvadors come from a long lineage of educators & proprietors and have lived on the property since the 1870s. The property is truly a "labor of love" and it bears personal touches from our ancestors. The structure on it today was built in the 1940's which was personally sketched by my father's brother, Pablo, along with some of the furniture you can see in the house today; while the porch and the wooden stairs were designed and built by Sotero's, my father, own hands. He had also planted the mango trees himself in the garden 80 years ago that still bear fruit up to this day. Over the years, we have renovated and updated its furnishings but still kept its homely essence. We have named the house after my grandmother, Ciriaca Salvador, whose name means "belonging to God" in old Greek.

Bearing a simple facade for a humble family of farmers, our home have housed members of our family for many years and its walls were built with the love shared with everyone who have been sheltered here. We gladly share our home to travellers in Ilocos, Philippines so they would not only see the beauty that Ilocos has to offer, but also experience the hospitality of the true Ilocano home.

During your stay

We provide complete privacy to our guests during your stay, but we are nearby just in case you are in need of assistance. In times of extremely dry and hot weather, we might need to access the garden to tend to the lawn. We also may need to water the plants at least once when you are booking us for more than 1 day. However, we make sure we do not enter the house when we have a guest booking except for cases of emergencies.
