An essential escape to panoramic views of the Moon Landscape on the edge of the Namib Desert awaits. The Desert Shack is a stand-alone modern cabin with everything you need to make relaxing your number one priority. Situated 20km from Swakopmund at the River Plots, the space is perfect for couples, professionals and anyone who cherishes solitude. A serene setting and platform for countless activities. It is off-the-grid living place with no curtains to ensure you are one with the desert.

The space
The Desert Shack is on a 10hectare small holding - Lillipoet Farm - where various olives & Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown. It is also the humble abode of the farm owner and host, out of sight of course. Respect for nature, the ecosystem, stillness of the landscape and a zest for a remarkably unique breakaway is a must.
- Stylish, eco-friendly, solar-powered space
- Perfect climate for endless unspoilt stargazing at nights.
- The weather is generally nicer out here (sunnier than Swakopmund!)

Where you’ll be

Swakopmund, Erongo Region, Namibia

Picturesque, untouched and predominantly uninhabited, the River Plots is a short drive away from the iconic town of Swakopmund. But the area offers plenty of experiences that is unique to this desert dwelling. Camel rides, hiking, mountain-biking, desert trips, visits to the local market on Saturdays, but most of all, endless views and quiet nights.
