A 1 bedroom property offering a high standard of contemporary, light, living accommodation. The property sleeps up to a maximum of 4 guests, with spectacular sea and mountain views. The apartment is situated on a beautiful wooded hillside on the exclusive LaVanta resort, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and mountains.

The space
The open plan living area is furnished in a beautiful contemporary style and comprises a fully fitted kitchen (with dishware, pots and pans, and cooking utensils). Alongside, there is a dining table with four chairs and the living area is equipped with a flat screen TV and a large comfortable sofa which converts to a double sofa bed; extending the guest capacity to a maximum of four. The king sized bed is situated alongside a juliette balcony which allows you to also take in the sunrise and sea views in the morning. From the living area, glass doors lead out from the living area to a furnished balcony with spectacular uninterrupted panoramic sea views.

The bedroom has ample storage space. Full length glass double doors flood light into the room and lead to a balcony complete with stunning views of the Mediterranean, mountains and islands beyond. There is a tiled shower room with a corner shower, heated towel rail and beautiful marble mosaic flooring.

All properties on LaVanta are fully air-conditioned.

KALKAN
As a retreat from the rigours of modern life, Kalkan is little short of idyllic!

Nestled around a sheltered natural harbour at the foot of the majestic Taurus Mountains, this unspoilt historic town overlooks a bay of breathtaking beauty.

A thriving Greek fishing village called Kalamaki until the 1920s; Kalkan is now largely devoted to high-end tourism.

Look out for Kalkan's charms in the compact old town including the picturesque harbour, shops, and various eateries including cafés, bars and fine dining restaurants.

The town is well served by banks and supermarkets. There is a large Thursday market in town and a smaller local market in the neighbouring village of Akbel on a Sunday.

The harbour area caters for all, including a small pebble beach, beach clubs (many of which can be reached by a frequent boat shuttle service); watersports clubs; and not forgetting the very popular past-time of a day at sea.

If you wish to venture beyond Kalkan, a visit to Kas (20min drive) would be highly recommended or to Fethiye, which is very popular for shopping.

LAVANTA
The gated complex that is LaVanta is set within beautiful landscaped gardens overlooking Kalkan and the Mediterranean Sea on Turkey's Turquoise coast.

It is a 5-minute drive (or an energetic 20 minute walk) to the centre of town. Its height above sea level means that it benefits from cooling breezes in the height of the summer. There is a large 25m communal infinity pool, plunge pool (for the kids), and a selection of sun loungers and parasols. Sat alongside the pool is the LaVanta Clubhouse which includes a café and bar offer throughout the day. It is unquestionably, the place to enjoy the magnificent hillside setting.

The world-renowned Kaputas beach and Patara, with its Lycian ruins are both only a 10-minute drive away.

I have travelled extensively across the Globe. I love places and more importantly, people and their cultures. In 2007, I visited Turkey after a 20 year gap. Found a lovely coastal town called Kaş. Fell in love with it. Returned every year for 6 years. The following year, having stayed with AirBnB in a neighbouring town called Kalkan, 3 years later we bought a Villa and relocated here!.
