Town, Lào Cai, Vietnam

In recent years, tourism development in Sapa leads to many positive and negative changes in this area. When the town is filled with dense constructions, hotels and restaurants are grown up fastly, causing noise, dust and environmental pollution to affect the landscape and local people life. The children do not like to go to school, but to go streets and beg from tourists. Young people integrate into new life but without orientation and skills that lead to do only the manual work such as housekeeper, gardener, waiter/ waitress. Ethnic families are bewildered by new development, so they move back to the high mountains, restricting their integration and contact with the tourists. From a bottom of our heart, we would like to develop an ecological space in where there are full of terrace fields, the green of trees and houses with balconies overlooking the mountainous villages.
