Even during the height of the summer season, you can find peace and tranquility.

The living room leads to a glass sliding door which offers a beautiful view of the waterfront. The deck has plenty of furniture for lounging and playing games. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and spectacular sunsets sitting in chairs on our fantastic sundrenched deck which has a view of the peaceful cove with views of sunsets that you won’t soon forget or take a short walk to Collins Point and get spectacular views of the entire lower Chateaugay Lake. The deck leads to the docks where you can fish and walk to Collins Point to swim.

DuMont’s Cove has 185 feet of private water frontage and docks so there is plenty of room for you to bring your toys and boats. Additionally there is a grill and a path leading down to the water’s edge, which makes it ideal for the elderly and young children in your party. .

The shoreline is ideal for young children to learn to love the water. If fishing is your passion you have found heaven, as there is a fully wonderful lake with Northern Pike, Bass, Perch, Bullhead, and Trout for your fishing pleasure. Relax lakeside by the fire next to the outside fire pit, or swinging in the hammock, or stay inside on those cooler nights and enjoy the central heat. Of course nothing beats just sitting back, breathing in the clean, clear Adirondack air…just being…while the haunting call of the loon echoes around you.

The area is filled with wildlife including ducks, loons, Bull Frogs, chipmunks, squirrels and even the occasional moose, or black bear can be seen. We have resident eagles with growing babies, a fox now and again. Watch the deer on the lake at sundown during the winter. Great hiking and horse trails nearby. Summer is great in the Adirondacks!

It’s only a 15 minute drive to trail head of majestic Lyon Mountain (3840'). This is a popular hiking destination with a system of 2 trails making the climb doable in a loop configuration seasonally. Reach the top and climb the century old fire tower. At the top you will have views towards Plattsburgh, Lake Champlain, Montreal and the High Peaks. Enjoy a fall weekend to see the foliage that autumn brings including breathtaking colors and fabulous mountain views, hunting and hiking. With a little over an hour drive you can explore further south in the Adirondacks and take A beautiful drive to the Lake Placid and the High Peaks region, or to the spectacular Ausable Chasm.

Lake George is less than two hours away, and Saratoga is a little further. You can also take the ferry or bridge across Lake Champlain to Vermont and visit the shops & pubs in Burlington. You can visit the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort with about a 45 minute drive.
