The space
The Ecolodge is a plus-energy house and designed as an architecturally unique, spacious one-room house with 120 sqm of living space.
A wide window front opens the living room to the terrace and garden. The dining and work table is equipped with an integrated hob and sockets (in the table legs) and forms the connection to the kitchenette.
Right next door is the utility room with fridge and freezer, washing machine and dryer, as well as supplies of beverages and durable food.
The 2 beds (each 160 cm wide) are located on the sleeping gallery, one free-standing and one visually separated directly under the roof slope (cave feeling, ideal for children). The complete gallery is designed with Japanese tatami mats and is ideal for playing, yoga and meditation.
Please note that there are no separate bedrooms. The bedroom gallery is open to the living room.
New! Additional comfort for hard sleepers. Almost all guests find the beds very comfortable, only from time to time someone wants a harder mattress. That's why there are now two futons to roll out on the tatami mats.

The house is located on a 730 sqm plot on the outskirts of town and in the middle of an MTB-Eldorado. Dirt-Bike-Park Trippstadt, winner of the German Bike Prize, is just 3 kilometres away. Several trails and cycle paths of the Pfälzerwald mountain bike park begin directly behind the house in the forest. For more ideas on leisure activities, please visit our homepage.

Als Wahlpfälzerin – ich komme aus dem Münsterland – habe ich mich vor allem in die Pfälzer Landschaft verliebt. Ich bin verheiratet und habe 3 Töchter, die mittlerweile in verschiedenen Unistädten unterwegs sind. Franz-Josef, mein Mann, ist am Fraunhofer ITWM beschäftigt, und ich arbeite teilzeit in einem Software-Startup. Das lässt mir Zeit genug, mich meinen Hobbies zu widmen – Rad fahren, wandern, lesen, Schlagzeug spielen – und für die Betreuung unserer Ecolodge. Im Sommer machen wir regelmäßig eine Radtour in Deutschland oder im benachbarten Ausland, und auch andere Urlaubsreisen verbringen wir am liebsten fern vom Massentourismus. Für mich als Biologin und auch für Franz-Josef ist Ökologie nicht eine Frage des Zeitgeistes, sondern seit Jahrzehnten ein Grundanliegen, deshalb haben wir sowohl beim Bau unseres privaten Wohnhauses als auch bei der Ecolodge besonderen Wert auf biologische Baustoffe und erneuerbare Energien gelegt.
